View 4 RepliesI have an XPS 17 L702X. I just did a re-install of windows 7 on my wife's laptop. How do I use the drivers and utilities disc to get the drivers for the hardware on this computer? I can't get online on it. I do have the discs.

Or do they just download the latest drivers from the Nvidia webiste test on a particular machine for a little while and either pass or fail the driver for official use?
I recently installed windows 8.1. But i dont find drivers for bluetooth at in the list of drivers available at website.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI own a Dell 7520 and it has four 3.0 usb ports. However, I have discovered that one program I use does not support Intel 3.0 USB ports only USB 2.0 ports. So the only port that program will use is the Realtek USB card reader on the 7520 because that is a native 2.0 port.
According to a poster Innogen on the Intel support forum "The BIOS in my Dell Inspiron 7520 allows me to disable it so that the USB 3.0 ports revert to USB 2.0 functionality." but I can't find any such functionality in my BIOS (using version A06).

I tried uninstalling the Intel USB 3.0 drivers in WIn 7 Ultimate hoping that when I rebooted it would install USB 2.0 drivers but it simply reinstalled the USB 3.0 drivers.
I would really like to get this program working on my computer and while I am not happy about losing USB 3.0 functionality I can live with it until the vendor gets its act together and starts to support Intel USB 3.0.
I have a Sony Vaio VGN N130G with an
integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3915ABG wireless or
Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG that runs the standard sony driver.
I also have a Dell Inspiron 6000 with a Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG that runs the driver for Intel Proset/Wireless driver .....
I've posted a few questions on this forum in the past and got the help i was in search of and now I'm in another pickle and i figured I would give this place a shot.
I'm trying to find the proper driver I should be using for my laptop's graphics card for gaming performance. I have searched the web and googl'd and what not. I even went to Nvidia's website and to the download drivers section they have, but could not find any drivers for my graphics card.
My graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900 GS --MobileForce M6 Enhanced--
My operating system is Window's Vista 32-bit...
If you all could help me out it would be greatly appreciated. As well, if you need any more information or specifications just ask me and I will try to figure them out.
I'm using the 175.32 drivers for the 7900GTX on my Dell XPS M1710, but was told by a friend that there are better ones out there. On the nvidia website it only gives me Quadra NVS drivers, which I'm told would give worse performance than my current drivers. I use my laptop for gaming, not rendering.
Any other driver suggestions?
Well after succesfull XP installation (knock, knock) installed all the drivers except wifi ( cause it show when i turn it on but doesnt give me the options like in Vista ) and Memory Card Reader....

Now I was wondering what steps I have to take to update my driver to the newer version from ATI itself?.
I ran MobilityModder already. But what component do I have to remove first? And what is the step after that?............
this list may be of some use to you. As of 12/April, the following downloads are available for Vista 64-bit (similar downloads for other Windows versions), essential downloads are highlighted in green..........................

View 3 Replies View RelatedNormally I can do this easlly, but for some reason I'm having a hard time bringing my XPS16 Video drivers up to speed.
Maybe it's because I'm used to dealing with Nvidia drivers....
Can someone detail the process?
I have been running Windows 7 x 64 on my M1330 fitted with a Intel X-25M SSD for a few weeks now and all seems ok.
I did have problems with the Ricoh card reader driver but downloaded the latest 64bit Win7 driver for the XPS 1645 from the Dell site (manually installed rather than using the setup.exe installer).
All of the other drivers and control software I installed was Dell Vista x64 drivers specifically for the M1330. This is a summary of what I installed:
BIOS = M1330 A15 R207196 (Nvidia confirm that A14 or greater must be installed before updating the video drivers to the latest) .......
I hate this new Delldownloadmanager thingy .....

I have a 9500 GE (Hybrid SLI)...
If so how should I install them ?
I have no idea how to do this. When I visit the Dell site and input my laptops info it recommends driver updates.
Most installed without a problem, however the DVD/CD drivers are a mystery. There are 11 recommended updates to the drivers but I cant figure out how to install them.
Some are applications but most are zipped files. Where to begin?
Here are the file names:
Applications: R235097, R246607, TSST_TS_L633C-12-7SATA-TRAY-A06_R20075
Zipped files: AD-7580S FD06, DV_W28SV_ROB_UPDATER, GTION-WIN7-A107, HLDS-CTION-A104, R250548_KD03FW, SA3_HD14, SA4_JD12, SE1_ED14
I have a Dell XPS-M1710 and I've tried a few different third party video drivers, but when I try ot play a Blu-Ray movie it says that the drivers aren't Blu-Ray compatible. I'm back using the Dell ones, but they really suck, especially for gaming, and even more so with newer games. Does anyone know of any good video drivers that can play Blu-Ray movies?

Does Dell automatically install the newest drivers onto your laptop or do you have to do it yourself.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just had a fresh format and installed windows 7.
Im just wondering, I used the mobility modder and the newest driver pack from ATI, which is the 9.12 suite.
However, when everything was installed, I checked my driver version and it's 8.681.0.0 (11/24/2009)
I have done a fairly big search on these forums, and everything seems to be pretty vague as to what drivers to use on a Geforce Go 7950GTX with windows vista.
Does anybody have a direct link to the best drivers available?
I can't seem to find the latest GFX drivers for nVidia GeForce 9400M. Yes, I know of Dells web site, but I mean latest latest.
Is this the case that we need to wait for Dells generosity or is there a trick to this? I've downloaded the package from nVidia but all it wanted to install was the audio HD driver,
I have an m1530 which I upgraded to 64 bit Windows 7. The default audio driver from windows update didn't allow me to use the microphone, so I used the Vista 64 Sigmatel driver from the dell site.
Because of a slight audio popping issue (many other people have discussed this) I updated to the IDT drivers for the m1645 as Black Russian recommended. Then I searched even further and found this list on laptopvideo2go:
http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/top...l-idt-drivers/
I installed the newest one there (6255) and it seems to work pretty just as well as the other ones did
I just updated my 7900GS drivers to nVidia ForceWare 84.63.
efore, I had 7x.xx something.
The good thing is that my 3dMark06 score went up by 300 points, but the bad thing is that CS:S started lagging like hell.
Before, I could run CSS with everything on high, and have 90+ FPS almost constant. Now, with the new drivers, I have to run everything on low-medium, and it still laggs below 20 fps in firefights, which is very annoying.
Is it possible that older drivers are actually better than newer?
