Is there any way that when i click clear downloads in the safari downloads window that the actual downloads will be deleted to. Like in firefox if you remove the downloads from the dl window it will remove the actual dl from wherever your default dl folder is.
View 3 Replies View Relatedjust got a Z40-70 59436180 w/ nvidia geforce and installed it with windows 7 (32 bit),the nvidia vga driver setup told me that i have to install intel vga driver first before installing the nvidia one..
the problem is i can't install the intel vga driver which i got from the lenovo download support page (the filename is "ivg200w732.exe"),when i run it, it says something like my computer doesn't have the minimum requirements for the driver to install..well it looks like it is the wrong driver, because when i explore the installation directory, i found a "x64"-named directory... and no "x86" or "32bit" or anything similar...
I am in search of the driver number in the title. It came factory preinstalled from dell and I had the installation files on disk, but accidentally deleted them, defragged, and now they're gone (save for if Power Data Recovery can recover them, Recuva already failed at that ).
Does anybody still have these babies? I ordered my laptop the first of October in Europe, so anyone that has ordered or received their laptop in around now should have these installed. They said they were revision A08, but it's nowhere to be found.
These are the only current drivers that would allow hybrid sli stuff to work, so I really need those. They came with a NVDJ.inf and WHQL certificate. I believe the driver date was around 26/06/2009, and I have scoured the dell ftp site for anything released around that date or later, but found nothing. Also laptopvideo2go doesn't have them. Currently running the NVIDIA notebook drivers, but they don't support the hybrid thing.
Has anyone tried the new nvidia driver? If so any problems or suggestions.
View 8 Replies View Relatedi had to reinstall XP OS on my XPS M1530 machine. the previous nVidia driver(which was working perfectly b4 reinstalling) seems not working well as i have got couple of times BSOD problem.
then i have tried three different version which r 180.84,185.85_notebook_winxp_32bit_whql, 186.18_desktop_winxp_32bit_english_whql. none of them r good cause i can defference the video quality of the movies.
presently i reverse back to the nvidia_gfgo_17637_xp32, it seems bit better than those others but still i m not happy with the video quality.
One improvement listed is more memory is made available for the GPU. It appears mp4 video playback has improved on my puter.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI tried installing the latest 185.81 driver from nvidia but vista will not let it function.
I get a message while the driver is installing, something along the lines of "vista can only use signed drivers, blah blah, some devices may not work properly." Is there a work around for this? Or do I have to use an older driver?
Btw, I am using vista 64bit with SP1. Trying to get the drivers to run dual 9800gt's
Got my new XPS M1730 in December 2008 and all was well for the first few months till the graphic issues started and the Nvidia driver stopped working and has recovered problem.
So three new cards and after a long battle they eventually agreed to swap me out with an Alieware M17X R2.
I have two questions .....
what happens if i still have the old XPS in a box upstairs waiting to be collected and they have not collected it after 3 months and will they even want it back now...they did say they wanted it back and i would be contacted when this collection had been arranged ...
however three months have passed and im not going to phone them and ask them to come get it ....and also what can i do to get the machine back to working properly ... ie how can i find out if it definitly is the graphic card and what are my
options .... are the 9800 cards plauged with the same problems .
As for the Alienware im not convinced i like it as much as i did the XPS ... fan noise during gaming is almost embarrasing ...
My Vostro 1510 laptop came with the latest 8400GS video card driver from Dell. Is it unwise to try the latest driver from nVidias site?
I've been reading that some drivers can run a little cooler. HWMonitor says my GPU normally runs at 60c, a little warm from what I'm reading.

I recently had to get a new hard drive installed in my Inspiron 1545 laptop. Therefore, I reinstalled Windows Vista 32bit, as well as all the drivers the Dell website told me I needed.
However, since the reinstall, I have been having issues with downloading programmes from the web- although my connection settings all seem OK. I can usually save .exe files to my computer, but when I attempt to install them, it tends to tell me they are corrupted in some way.
I just received a refurbished M4400 and had no problem changing it to the A03 bios.
When I tried to install the latest Nvidia 179.48 notebook gpu driver (for Windows XP -32 bit), I get the following message...
"The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatable with your current hardware. Setup will now terminate."
Can anyone tell me why this gpu driver will not load? Do I have to do something different in order to get this driver to be accepted by this M770 business gpu?
The Nvidia driver for my Inspiron 5720 does not recognize my card and won't install. It is the 630M.I did a clean format and set BIOS values to default. The latest BIOS is installed. The drive is from Dell's website.
View 7 Replies View RelatedIs almost close to a year now, I have not been able to fix up my drivers and get my SPEED mode to work nor install any Geforce drivers.
I have look around the web alot for solutions and being cautious (not to damage the notebook) I rarely try anything out.
When first bought end of dec'07, it was running well the first few months till the fan made rattling noise as if the whole notebook didn't had a screw in every hole and was going to fall apart.
I send it to SONY service centre couple of times to get it fix and finally the fan issue was gone till I had a BSOD somewhere in mid'08 and all hell break lose from here on
I just installed win7 64 bit for my laptop, my VaiO's using Nvidia Geforce 8400M GS 64mb RAM graphic card...
I followed the instruction of this thread Sony SZ750 Win7 64bit clean install (should help on other SZ's) .
everything went smoothly up to step 8 until i installed the graphic driver in speed mode...
before install, windows automatically get the driver for the card... but it's horrible (8 bit, no memory, and the res. is 800x600 .....
which driver are you using, and did you notice any difference when switching from stock (188?) driver.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi believe my nvidia is somewhat a bit twweaked by acer so it performs with the laptop, anyways what driver you use for yours, my driver is horrible and yes its new...i need a good one gaming, no overclocks cause it heats my laptop up causeing lag...if yo do say a driver number pelase give me a link also [url]
View 10 Replies View RelatedI did this because I want to play Blu-Ray films AND have a decent selection of 16:9 resolutions - The Nvidia ones (with the modded inf) cause Acer Arcade not to play (gives an error about incorrect driver installed) and the official Acer ones only give you 2 actual 16:9 resolutions. Bear in mind this is mainly for my gaming as not everything will run at 1920x1080 but I don't want to go as low as 1366x768 but it's fixed a wierd problem with my TV where the HDMI 720p output was bigger than the TV screen (which is 720p but doesnt have any over/underscan ability?).
****This should be regarded as a "hack" to the drivers and as such I take no responsibilty for anything that happens if you try this - I am providing the details in case others have the problems above........
I have the following specs and hoping that someone with similar specs can run a small test and report back on their results.
Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo Processor P9500 (2.53GHz/ 1066 FSB/ 6MB Cache)
256MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) 9500M-GE
4GB Dual Channel 1067MHz DDR3 SDRAM
500GB SATA Hard Drive
Windows Vista(R) Ultimate 32 bit SP1
BIOS version: A03 (updated through the Dell support site)
The problem I have tends to arise when I put the laptop into Vista's sleep mode. It hangs after it sits in sleep more for about 30 minutes. Basically, the XPS media control touch buttons do their little dance show, then the laptop hangs and doesn't respond. I have to do a reset with the power button.
I have been testing where the problem is: Yesterday, I rolled back the video card to the 'GeForce 9400M G' driver. The sleep mode issue went away.
I then reinstalled the 'GeForce 9500M (9400 + 9200)' driver and the issue came back.
Hoping that someone who has similar specs to mine, can run a test by putting their computer into "Sleep Mode" (keeping hybrid sleep OFF) and then:
1. Wake it up immediately (this has been working for me); and
2. Wake it up after 30-40 minutes.
I just bought an Insprion 7520, and upgraded the windows os to ultimate. However after reading few reviews of this os, I wanted to switch back to Home Premium so that it would be like I bought it. However after installing Home Premium, some of the drivers that I downloaded from the Dell Drivers and Downloads website were unable to install. These problems have also lowered the laptops score in the Windows Performance Index. The GRAPHICS score went from 6.6 to 5.6 and RAM socre 7.9 to 7.7.
-Intel Rapid Start Technology : "The system does not meet the requirements" (It did when I bought it. What has changed I cannot understand.)
-Seagate Firmware v 0005DEM1, A05 : Got a FAILED message in the dos screen.
-Dell-Hardware version GS002D, A02 : Got a message saying "Not compatible with x64 systems".
I have the service tag and the express service code if needed.
I've run into a problem where every file I download will start normally, then slow to a stop (0 kB/s), and never start back up or continue. Depending on the internet's download speed, this makes it impossible to download files larger than 25-50 MB. This problem has persisted on four different networks and in both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer, so I've determined it's neither a network nor a browser issue. It started where it would only affect about 75% of downloaded files, but now it affects every single one. Although, I can still download large amounts of data through other sources (I downloaded a 25 GB game on Steam with no problem).
View 4 Replies View RelatedI use the SZ as secondary computer, mostly with Intel card so realised only today that I have wrong Nvidia driver/software and am not able to install correct one. It is Asian SZ , XP Pro English but for whatever reason the Nvidia Settings are in German and does not look like I can change it. Downloaded the original driver fro Sony Asia site- for the SZ38GP, tried installing it twice already but I am getting the same German thing, could be Swahili or Mandarin as well though understand German but not of that tachnical kind, plus it cant be right if OS is English
Tried also a newest Nvidia driver, that worked in English but the brightness buttons didnt and I find those essential.
The new driver 195.62 gives me BSODing upon just logging in to my machine.
After first reboot upon installing the driver, it worked fine for a few minutes and then BSOD'd while watching a flash video. It then BSODs whenever I try to log back in to the machine. I've since uninstalled the driver through safe mode.
I have a HP HDX 16, Nvidia 130m, 2.1ghz C2D, Windows 7 64bit.
I did a clean install of the driver (ie. uninstalling through control panel, going into safe mode and using driver sweeper, then installing again through normal mode).
In order to gain CUDA support for my nvidia 8400m gs video card, I downloaded the latest notebook driver from Nvidia website directly and installed it on my HP 2500t custom order laptop recently, so far, I have experienced frequent system hang, sudden blue screen of death, lost of display and system overheating. I am considering reverting back to HP stock video which is a bit old and has no support for CUDA.
Has anybody else tried the new nvidia video driver for notebook?
i have HP DV 2700 with nvidia 8400m gs. the laptop has 2 graphics chips intel gm965 chipset with gma3100 and 8400m gs. is it possible to switch between the two. i am having problems with drivers. i am not able to install latest drivers from nvidia site. it doesnt show on rivatuner saying nvidia driver not detected. the driver from hp works but its very old 176.xx. so is there a way out to install new driver and switch between graphics. i searched intel site but did nt find any thing related to this problem. The bios doesnt have any option like the desktop pc s have. Does bios tweaking...

Earlier i changed my window vista home premium to window 7, but then i changed it to window vista ultimate.
when i had window 7, my graphics card which is nvidia work perfectly fine, but after i change to window vista ultimate, i " lost " my nvidia driver. i downloaded nvidia driver at ww.nvidia.com but when i tried to install it, i get an error " The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hrdware. Setup will now exit."
I really want to install that driver, i have nvidia graphic card but i cant install the driver
this is my pc information: ...
As I had been having a couple of minor problems with a temporary dim screen on startup and occasional screen flicker, I decided to upgrade the NVIDIA display driver on my 5920G.
Unfortunately I rather carelessly installed driver update 180.48 for a 8800 GS rather than the correct 178.24 for the 8600GT on my laptop.
It installed fully and the display still seems to be working OK (but screen flicker still there)
I am wondering whether or not it is OK to leave the 180.48 driver as it is or whether I should roll the driver upgrade back and then install 178.24.
To be honest I find installing drivers quite complicated and difficult so I would prefer to take no action unless the expert advice from members of this forum says it will cause me future problems.
