Sony :: Have Nvidia Graphic Card But I Cant Install The Driver
Jun 21, 2009
Earlier i changed my window vista home premium to window 7, but then i changed it to window vista ultimate.
when i had window 7, my graphics card which is nvidia work perfectly fine, but after i change to window vista ultimate, i " lost " my nvidia driver. i downloaded nvidia driver at ww.nvidia.com but when i tried to install it, i get an error " The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hrdware. Setup will now exit."
I really want to install that driver, i have nvidia graphic card but i cant install the driver
I just bought this new computer, an inspiron 17r se 7720 and whenever i try to open the nvidia control panel it says that in the system there isn't an nvidia graphic card when actually its there.Â
The graphic card its an nvidia gt 650m with 2gb of dedicated ram. I tried to flash the bios to the latest update but nothing. What can i do?
I have a Dell inspiron n5110 with a dedicated graphic card. My laptop was running fine till yesterday but today as i started gaming on my laptop it started to shut down. I tried many things but to no avail. Then i uninstalled my nvidia graphic card and tried to run the game again it wroked just fine but as soon as i installed my nvidia card and triend running it on it the laptop again got shutdown. i searched the internet and found its wither my Power unit or my graphic card has become faulty.
i cant find drive for my graphic card its only showing standard vga graphis adapter ...i have hp g2 250 f0y78ea .. runing windows 7 and al animations are really laggy
The Nvidia driver for my Inspiron 5720 does not recognize my card and won't install. It is the 630M.I did a clean format and set BIOS values to default. The latest BIOS is installed. The drive is from Dell's website.
I have installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on my new HP 15-R033tx.  I have downloaded and installed all the drivers from the HP website.  But, when I try to install the NVIDIA driver, it says " Install intel ®drivers first"....
im searching a way, how to change the graphic card.... How to replace the 9300M GS with a 9600M GT or something that are faster.
There must be a way to speedup the graphic... and we can construct a better cooling design.
I think a faster graphic card, like the 9600M GT, is better for the laptop, because, they have more pixel pipelines and all that.
I think if you underclock the graphic card, it will be much cooler and you can play much better games... in better performance, and much cooler as with the 9300M GS.....
I read that Sony Vaio FW's ATI Radeon 4650 is underclocked. I'm wondering if this is only exclusive to FW's 4650 or all Sony dedicated graphic cards are underclocked?
I'm trying to update my Sony VAIO VGN-CR510D/W graphic's driver (GM965). Intel's site has the newest one 7.15.10.1666 and mine is currently at 7.14.10.1295. I go to "Update Driver" in my Device Manager but It does not find a new one. I downloaded the new one manually but it won't let me install it (Not supported). I am running Vista Home Premium 32bit.
how to update the driver for the graphic card of this laptop its a 8400m gt. When i tried some off the laptopvideo2go site the function keys didnt work.
I just want to show you how much overclock you can expect from the HD4650 Mobile graphic card. Wait for 1080P Full HD results.
I don't have external monitor to do 1280x1024 standard test, I'll post the results next week when my monitor arrived.
( Due to poor 128Bit memory controller VGA can't handle 1080P res gaming even with No AA/All settings Low & Crysis FPS stay below 25. However 720P gaming is superb & Crysis stay above 36FPS all time with NO AA/ All Medium setting)
When I am working in speed more for a while, when I try drag around windows i get this really annoying lag.
The window will kind of sputter as I drag it... but if i do it a few times then the dragging gets smooth again. Its as if the nvidia chip needs to wake up and run fast or something. It feels like garbage
I've been eyeing a Vaio Z-series (555 or the the 590 online-only in Canada) but I want to make absolutely sure that it contains a nVidia card (9300M GS 256MB).
When I go to the stores to look at the store model (Sony store & Best Buy), in Device Manager and Display setting, I only see the Intel Mobile graphics chips. No where on the system does it appear to say that it contains a nVidia card. I tried using the Stamina/Speed slider to see if there was a different (setting it to Speed), and the graphics card still says INTEL.
For all those who own a laptop from this series, what do you see?
Do *all* Vaio Z-series have a nVidia or only certain ones? Is it just a driver/software issue for the ones at the stores?
Is almost close to a year now, I have not been able to fix up my drivers and get my SPEED mode to work nor install any Geforce drivers.
I have look around the web alot for solutions and being cautious (not to damage the notebook) I rarely try anything out.
When first bought end of dec'07, it was running well the first few months till the fan made rattling noise as if the whole notebook didn't had a screw in every hole and was going to fall apart.
I send it to SONY service centre couple of times to get it fix and finally the fan issue was gone till I had a BSOD somewhere in mid'08 and all hell break lose from here on
I already installed Windows 8.1 64-bits on my laptop and the Wifi Card wasn't already installed. I tried to download the Wifi Card driver and I found 3 drivers :  MediaTek(Ralink) 802.11 Wireless LAN (WLAN) Adapter [URL]....
I use the SZ as secondary computer, mostly with Intel card so realised only today that I have wrong Nvidia driver/software and am not able to install correct one. It is Asian SZ , XP Pro English but for whatever reason the Nvidia Settings are in German and does not look like I can change it. Downloaded the original driver fro Sony Asia site- for the SZ38GP, tried installing it twice already but I am getting the same German thing, could be Swahili or Mandarin as well though understand German but not of that tachnical kind, plus it cant be right if OS is English
Tried also a newest Nvidia driver, that worked in English but the brightness buttons didnt and I find those essential.
i have managed to install Windows7 in my 3years old Vaio VGN-FE31M laptop. so i just need the nvidia graphics card driver now. i have tried the latest one from nvidia website, but its not compatible. my nvidia is Nvidia Geforcego 7600.
I'm trying to install the latest driver for my Geforce 9300M card. But when I find the driver dowload page from the Nvidia site, they invariably state that...

The following notebooks are not supported in this release:
Sony VAIO notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
The Sony site does NOT contain drivers for the gfx card.
One of the most troublesome consequences of downgrading your VAIO to Windows XP is not being able to adjust the screen brightness using the F5/F6 keys.
This tutorial aims to (i) resolve that issue, and (ii) retain the ability to adjust brightness when you update to the latest LaptopVideo2Go drivers. The below methods have been tested on VAIO FZ, FW, and NS laptops with NVIDIA GeForce 8X00M cards, and they are working flawlessly with the LV2G 190.15 driver.
Part 1: Enabling Fn Brightness Control
Skip this step if your brightness control is already working
In order to be able to use the brightness control on a XP-Downgraded machine, you need:
1. VAIO Event Service Hotfix (Which updates the VESConfig.ini file for the VAIO Event Service) -> You can get this at[url]. -> If you have an FZ, you can use the VESConfig.ini I have attached
2. NVIDIA Driver with Customised nv4_disp.inf (Refer to Part 2)............
I saw in some threats that said you can get Geforce 9800 into XPS 1730.
But when I got to Dell website, I couldn't see where Geforce 9800 was, but 8700. It is said that "The Dell MediaDirect feature is not compatible with the NVIDIA® SLI™ Dual GeForce® 9800M series video solutions .....
Is there any another graphic card which will fit and will work with e1505 laptop? I know about Ati X1300 and X1400 and I thinking about change to X1400 but maybe there is another, better card.
Does anyone heard a noice coming from the "circuit board" of graphic card when you are running a game or during the gpu test in 3dmark? The sound like "si si si si" is quite annoying.
I confirmed is not the problem of the fan of gpu and guess the noice is from the circuit board of gpu..
I'm getting a weird white vertical line , about 2 inches thick, all over my display, it doesn't matter if I'm browsing software, or just at boot screen, the line is there.
Weird thing is, it seems to randomly dissappear sometimes, but appears again when trying to shut down the lappy, is the first time this thing happen to my display and I shuted down my lappy, hoping its propably a heat problem.
