Dell Latitude E6530 :: Universal Serial Bus Controller Drivers
Jul 10, 2012I reimaged my client's laptop and I am trying to download the drivers for the Universal Serial Bus Controller. I went on the dell website and tried downloading it but it still shows up as missing.
Operating system: Windows 7 x64
I was also wondering if dell has put the correct drivers up for the operating system. I select Windows 7 x64 drivers on the webpage. When I try to install them, it gives me a "invaild operating system" error.

HP Compaq Presario CQ61 :: Serial Number Not Found Message At Boot
Oct 9, 2014Just last night Serial I got "Serial Number Not Found" message at boot followed by " Windows 7 Compilation 7601 this windows copy is not genuine".
I tried to insert the product key of the label of the notebook but that didn't solve the problem.
The Nootbook is a HP Compaq presario CQ61 Notebook PC (CQ61-325SP)
S/N C NF 9376 MZL and I am running Windows 7 Home Premium, Service Pack 1
Pentium (R) Dual-core CPU T4300 @ 2.10 GHz.

Aug 7, 2009I'm trying to locate the serial number of my laptop and it appears to have been removed. It's not under the battery. Is there somewhere in the operating system that I can retrieve this information?

As you probably kwon, I get first the bad Samsung LCD screen.
Then I asked for a replacmeent by Dell and get the AUO LCD screen after replacement which is not better. (Bad view angle, backlight problem etc..)
I'd like to know what is the serial number of the LG LCD because it is better than the 2 others as I read on forums.
I think it is LP171WX2 but not sure?

Jan 10, 2009Last minute question (and definitely a dumb one) - where do you find the unique serial number on our laptops (ie for use when declaring it with customs prior to leaving the country)?
I don't have the UPC code that the Sony registration site directs me to on my box, and on the bottom of the laptop there is no specific number that says "S/N: #########"..

Dec 19, 2009Dell offer the Wireless N option so I wondered if the 3rd aerial connection was built in but tucked away if you choose the Wireless G option only so in order to use it I'd have to open the back up to route it into the bay?
I have a 3rd aerial anyway bought from a 3rd party but of course the built in one (if available) would be a better choice for performance .....

Nov 16, 2014I was having issues with my drawing tablet so I uninstalled my USB Drivers and accidentally deleted the files along with the driver. When i restarted my computer I went to the HP site and downloaded and installed the USB 3.0 driver.
As you can see under other devices the USB Controller has an issue. None of the USB drivers are working now.

I have had the 'privilege' to be stonewalled by Dell 'customer service' when requesting the lost password to access CMOS & BIOS setup on my Dell Studio XPS 1640.
I purchased a used Studio XPS 1640 that was just under 2 months out of warranty from another who was disgusted with the hassles that have developed with some of the 1640s & 1645s over heat, throttling, RGB screen blinking, inadequate power supply, etc, etc. The formal transfer of ownership was immediately completed on Dell's web-site .....

Nov 17, 2014I recently bought a t440s from a friend, And i wanted to lookup its warranty.The serial under the battery is recognised by the lenovo warranty check, But in the bios the serial shows up as R8000000, Could this become a problem for me in the future? refrain from bumping your thread(s) / post(s) more frequently than 3 days. Doing so, unfairly, pushes other members' threads downwards.

Feb 6, 2013I installed Windows 7 64 bit on a Dell E4200.I had two yellow exclamation points in device manager for unknown devices.

I went to Dell support site and to the drivers and downloads page for my Service Tag.Under the Chipset section there is an Intel driver for AMT HECI. Installing that driver solved the PCI Simple Communications item.
Also under Chipset there is an Intel driver AMT SOL. I installed that driver but the PCI Serial Port was still showing Unknown with the Yellow..In my case I had to then manually Update the driver as follows:
Open Device Manager > right click on PCI Serial Port and choose Update driver > choose Browse my computer and browse to the driver folder for the AMT SOL just created when you downloaded and installed the driver mentioned above. Location for me is C:DellDriversR279202.
Lenovo 11e E/Edge :: 0302-2BU Missing BIOS UUID And Serial Numbers On ThinkPad
Dec 13, 2011I am currently working on a ThinkPad Edge 15 0302-2BU for a client of mine. The system is able to POST and I can enter the BIOS but the UUID is all zeros and the Machine Type Model, System-unit serial number, and System board serial number are all blank.
I went to the support page for this model and downloaded the ISO file with bootable BIOS update utility for BIOS ver. 2.20 (82ET80WW) I updated the BIOS in case there were any issues with the current BIOS release. Rebooted then went to update the model number off the bootable utility. I entered the model number, Updated, and Rebooted again. Still having the same issue. The model number didn’t record after I punched it in.
I am still able to POST and get into the BIOS configuration. The system will not load an OS or boot off a CD into something like Windows PE.
I'm not sure if Windows not being able to load is due to the BIOS or not but I'm inclined to think so since I have trouble booting off CD.

Apr 27, 2009I've got a HP Pavilion dv6000z notebook. It came pre-installed with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit but, I recently changed the OS to Windows XP Home Edition SP3 32-bit. It was a completely new installation of the OS.
Now, I've got a weird problem. I watch the NBA games on this website for international viewers at ilp.nba.com and it goes through an external company named RayV. They provide their own software to watch the games on, I believe it is a p2p kind-a program [if that helps?]; RayV Viewer. In this, the broadcasted video size is 608x336 or something like that and averages about 800k-1000k speed/bandwidth?. They call it the "HD" version.
The problem is, the video continuously "stutters" every 4-7 seconds.
My room mate has the newer dv5t series notebook with an intel core 2 duo 2.0ghz processor nd an intel integrated graphics adapter [x3100/4500?] nd the video works absolutely perfectly on his notebook. Same goes for my friends Apple Macbook [old "lower spec'd" white version] however with mine it has this continuous stuttering problem. I've tried increasing the process priority through task manager but that didn't help either.
Most HD videos work fine in WMP [.mkv 720p] though they stutter every now nd then too.
Like about every 10 - 13 minutes, maybe a little bigger gap but it happens nonetheless.
I've tried the 182.08 drivers from laptopvideo2go.com & the DOX 182.46 version as well as the 86.38 version from windows update but none of them have been able to solve it. Any ideas as to what I could try?
I'm currently downloading the beta of Windows 7 to see how that works on this notebook, I believe the RC is just about to be released & is on some sites so could give that a shot but would love to solve it in XP itself.

Sep 11, 2009Just got dv3t CTO from HP today. Very nice notebook, except that I miss the touchable playback controls on the body. It would have been very nice if there were a way to quickly control music/video playback. So, I am going to do a clean install on it this weekend, and I am downloading latest drivers from HP site. On HP's site, there are couple of things that I dont know if I need to install after clean install or not.

why are there no drivers for ProtectSmart and Intel Matrix Storage Manager on HP's site? Although, I found something in latest-drivers-for-dv3 thread on this forum, but is there any compatibility issue or other reason for HP to not have those drivers under dv3t support page?

HP's website doesn't have XP drivers for this particular model, but when I searched for "Pavillion dv4" there were over 300 returned, so I am hopeful that a comparable model will have XP drivers available.
