HP/Compaq :: Dv7 Administrator

Got a weird problem only on the Administrator profile. Most of the programs simply won't start anymore. I double click on the icon, even on the actual executible file, and nothing happens. I try to start iTunes...it can no longer find it. I try to start Quicken, and pretty much anything else, nothing happens. All other profiles on my machine work fine and do not have these problems.
I've run virus scan (Norton), and nothing.
Anyone else seeing this, or can at least know what's going on? Is my Admin account corrupt?

way to get Acer ePowerManagement working with non-administrator users?
Because when I join laptop to domain, and log in with user that has power user righs, the ePowerManagement just won't work. If I grant local administrator rights to user, ePowerManagement works just fine.. But that's not the way it should be!

When I try to upgrade it asks for a BIOS Adminsistrator Password we do not have that pasword?

I purchased a floor display model at Sam's club, HP Envy 17-j027cl, that had an administrator password, secondary Sam Account and Guest Account. The clerk was supposed to take the administrator password off, but apparently didn't.
How can I get the Administrator password removed so I can reset it? When I try to reset, it asks for a USB flash drive or disc which I have neither of.

I need to recover my Dell Inspiron 600m administrator password. I called Dell and their advice was to buy a new hard drive. I can log on with my user name and I can get email....but at a snail's pace. I am unable to do maintenance or download updates without that administrator password.

I'm trying to fix my neighbours computer, it's a Pavilion dm3 and somehow she managed to completly lock the system. When it boots it just asks for the administrator password and will not continue to boot, not even bios menu is available.
I've read some other posts on this forum that the way to unlock it is to post the "halt code" given when 3 passwords have failed, in my case that code is: 51019908
Also, how does one even end up in this state, I've never seen this kind of lockdown before?

I have HP 2000-412NR and I removed my bios power on administrator password by typing my old password and in the new password field, I put empty (did not type anything), and saved it. Laptop is model HP 2000-412NR Serial 5CB2012RD6 After purchasing a laptop from a pawn shop my girlfriend asked me to reformat and reinstall the OS. I restarted it and went to change boot priority and found that there is an administrator password.
At lockout it says System Disabled and gives the code 54254783
