Laptop is model HP 2000-412NR Serial 5CB2012RD6 After purchasing a laptop from a pawn shop my girlfriend asked me to reformat and reinstall the OS. I restarted it and went to change boot priority and found that there is an administrator password.
At lockout it says System Disabled and gives the code 54254783
I have HP 2000-412NR and I removed my bios power on administrator password by typing my old password and in the new password field, I put empty (did not type anything), and saved it. After power on it still ask me the administrator password, and now no matter what I typed, I always got incorrect password, disable code 52559062.

I purchased a floor display model at Sam's club, HP Envy 17-j027cl, that had an administrator password, secondary Sam Account and Guest Account. The clerk was supposed to take the administrator password off, but apparently didn't.
How can I get the Administrator password removed so I can reset it? When I try to reset, it asks for a USB flash drive or disc which I have neither of.
I'm trying to fix my neighbours computer, it's a Pavilion dm3 and somehow she managed to completly lock the system. When it boots it just asks for the administrator password and will not continue to boot, not even bios menu is available.
I've read some other posts on this forum that the way to unlock it is to post the "halt code" given when 3 passwords have failed, in my case that code is: 51019908
Also, how does one even end up in this state, I've never seen this kind of lockdown before?
