Recently i bought HP-D107TX notebook and i tried to install the WLAN driver form your site. But it is not installing. When i click on the setup.exe it unpacks the drivers and a message is showing "This program is installed correctly" and "Reinstall using recommended setting". Till now wireless is not working in my lap.
View 7 RepliesI recently had to open up my HP G7 laptop to blow the dust of my fan and under the keyboard. When I put they keyboard back together, my wifi didn't work. I'm now on a ethernet connection. Opening network connection, there's no wifi adapter icon. I've tried installing the driver, but mid install I get this message "The driver files you wish to remove will not be removed as the corresponding card is not installed". I don't know what this means, but when I finish the install, the wireless connection is still not shown in network connections, and the driver doesnt show on device manager. What else can I try?

I just got at new envy and wanted to reinstall windows 7, to get rid of all the preinstalled software.
After I reinstalled, windows 7 wasn't able to download the drivers it self so i had to do it manually. So I did and now i got two problems.
#1:I can't install my wireless network driver. I tried installing the driver on the website but without result. I can see the network card in the device manager though, as a unknown device called network controller. I've tried removing it, but that didn't work either.
#2:I can't get my volume up/down buttons too work. That's the only two quick buttons that doesn't work. I got the audio beats button working too.I tried installing the media packages on the hp website after reading on a website that this could be the problem, but i wasn't able to install the packages. The pc just opens the setup files, but after extracting nothing happens.
I just bought a HP 255 G2, free dos. I installed windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit operating system and downloaded the drivers.
I installed Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Driver, version 2012.6.1218.2013 (8 Jan 2014) and it doesn't work.

As said, my laptop's model number is dv6-6c13nr. My laptop's Windows 7 was FUBAR from a computer virus that my sister managed to get on it somehow. I just DBANed the entire hard drive and did a clean install of Windows 7. Everything was able install just fine except for the wireless adapter/driver.
I tried both the Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver and the Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter linked in my PC model's driver page. On both of them, whenever I click on the downloaded file, nothing happens after the file unpacks, no installers run. I've tried running it regularly and running it as an administrator, I've also tried running the installers directly from where they were unpacked into the C drive, regularly and as an administrator.
All of the other drivers and software on my PC model's driver page installed just fine aside from the wireless, it's the only thing, and the most important thing, that I can't seem to get to work. The version of Windows 7 that shipped with the PC was Windows 7 Home Premium, the version that I have and that I installed is Windows 7 Ultimate. Are the drivers not Ultimate compatible?
I've also considered installing earlier versions of the drivers, but I can't find legacy versions anywhere that doesn't look sketchy.

Although, I just can't find a internet driver for my laptop model. I know there is one. I've seen HP experts provide drivers to other people on the forum while they downgraded as well just like me.
