I have an HP Envy 15t (model k000) that I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 64bit onto when I put an SSD in it. I have been able to get all of the drivers for it except the wireless controller from the HP website. Is the wireless driver available somewhere?

I am missing the network driver as well and have tried installing it many times but still no luck. I have an HP Pavilion DV7 - 2110sa Laptop running Windows Vista.

The wireless network controller isn't working and has a yellow ! in the device manager. Win7 has no idea what it is. No driver info is displayed and nothing is found when Update Driver is run.
It's definitely a software issue as I can get it working fine if I boot from a linux live CD.

I have a hp mini 210-2145. It had windows 7 home edition 32bit on it but I formatted it and put windows 7 professional 64 bit on. I cant get the wifi to work. I finally got the regular plug in to work but still no wifi. I have went to the driver site and installed both chip sets. and downloaded a bunch of the internet drivers listed on the network drivers list. After installing a bunch of them i noticed the system scan. It detected that i had a 802.11b/g/n WLAN. Thats the irst one on the site so i redownloaded and instaled it and it still isnt working. In the device manager it shows the yellow exclamation and just says ethernet controller.

I had recently installed Windows 7 again on my Hard Drive and then i downloaded all the drivers for my Laptop from HP website. My Laptop pc is HP Pavilion DV6 -2155dx Entertainment. I have installed all the drivers but while installing Realtek Ethernert Controller Driver I found an error it was stating that " The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is Enabled Please Plug the Cable". And also while installing Atheros Drivers I found this error " The Device may not be present or could have been ejected / unplugged from the system.
Insert or Reinsert Now" I have also installed HP Wireless Assistant After installation and Rebooting The wireless assistant shows that wifi is disabled (orange light on the keyboard) but when i try to enable it, it doesnt turn blue but it states that Wireless Adapter is disabled by Device Manager. I also have checked the boot menu or bios and found that for wifi it was already enabled. In Device Manager i can find the device with yellow colored signal. I am not able to understand what exactly the error is as in Device manager it is showing the device and while installing the drivers it is showing it is ejected / unplugged".

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased an HP ENVY dv6 Notebook from Costco today, running Windows 8, an Atheros AR9485 adapter, and connecting to a Belkin Surf N300 Wireless N Router - Model# F7D6301 v3.
My problem is, in the past 6-7 hours of usage, I've lost connection 3 separate times. The first two times was fairly brief, lasting only a few minutes. I closed out the Internet Explorer Application, and upon reopening it and attempting to connect again, worked fine. The last occurrence, however, lasted 15-20 minutes and finally resulted in me just hard wiring it in.
I'm brand new to HP computers, and Windows 8 all together, so I'm not sure where to start first. I've searched around the web, and on the forums here, but haven't found a fix.
I use the wireless router daily (hard wired) for my Xbox 360, and rarely, if ever, has issues connecting.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HP ENVY TouchSmart 14t-k000 CTO Ultrabook. It just went out of warranty a month or so ago but started blue-screening rigth after that - I had to reinstall Windows 8.1.
Since the install, my wifi has not been working properly. (I can use an Ethernet cable without a problem.) Sometimes it will say the wifi is connected with full bars, but then I get a "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET" when I try to pull up any browser and nothing will load. Other times it just won't connect at all. The weird thing is that 5% of the time it will work fine, and I'll be able to use wifi no problem for a couple hours at a time.
What could possibly be going on? Is it a driver issue? Should I get a new network adapter? Is it a settings issue?
I have an HP ENVY dv6-7246us Notebook PC with a Qualcomm Atheros QCA9565 802.11b/g/n wireless adaptor. the past 2 weeks the adaptor has been turned off and I can not find a way to turn it back on.
In device manager the adaptor is shown to be working properly. The indicator light (f12) is showing white as it should and toggles into and out of airplane mode properly.I have tried to open the properties tab in network connections to no avail. I also could not find a newer driver for the adaptor.the ethernet adapter is working well. I have Windows 8 64 bit and am using AVG anti-virus.I need the wireless to be working properly or I will just have to get another computer.

Lately, I've experienced many occasions when the laptop fails to connect to a wireless network when other PCs in the same room connect. I should say it mostly connects, but with "limited connectivity" and no Internet access. I struggled during a week's vacation to connect and then had a problem connecting when I returned home, where I previously had no problems. And I'm having this problem on networks that previously were not a problem. I've read on this forum that many people are having similar problems. So, I'd like to upgrade the wireless/bluetooth card to something that is known to work more reliably. I assume I would have to stay in the Intel family. I saw one recommendation for an Intel AC 7260 card...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Envy 15-j040eo that worked fine until about two weeks ago but then it did no longer recognize my wireless-n. At that time I had Win 8.1 64 bit with automatic updates. Other computers and iPhones still recognized my wifi.
After spending hours and days with the HP Support we finally did a complete reset of the computer. Now I have Windows 8 with the updates disabled and wireless-n works fine until I allow windows to update. If windows is allowed to update the computer do not recognize the network anymore. With other than -n networks or with cable it works fine. The only way that me and the HP Support has found get the wifi working is to completely reset the computer. If I only make a refresh the wifi still don't work.
The wireless adapter is a Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn and it works with driver 5.0.25.0 on windows 8. When I first had the issue I tried to update to driver V5.0.46.0 but it still did not find the wifi-n in windows 8.1.
BIOS is updated to latest version and even if I turn automatic updates off the network went dead when upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1 but on Windows 8 it works as long as I choose not to update the driver for the wireless adaptor.
As I prefer to have windows 8.1 and updated with automatic updates; how can I configure it to still work with wireless-n?
