Dell :: Error: Expansion ROM Not Initialized – PCI Network Controller On Motherboard
Jan 24, 2009
I’m hoping someone can help me as I’ve tried everything (which my knowledge is very limited) that I know what to do and I am unable to fix the problem I am having.
I have a Dell Inspiron 710M which is no longer under warranty and yesterday I received the following error upon boot-up. The 710M was purchased in February 2006. Windows XP Home Edition SP3 was installed.

I upgraded to Windows 8.1 pro 64-bit on my HP split x2, and now the network controller has no driver, as well as one other device. I do not know where to find the drivers for these.  Network controller: PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B3&SUBSYS_00708086&REV_83 PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B3&SUBSYS_00708086 PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B3&CC_028000 PCIVEN_8086&DEV_08B3&CC_0280  Unknown device: ACPIVEN_INT&DEV_33A0 ACPIINT33A0 *INT33A0
I tried everything and still need drivers for DV7-6C63NR:
SM Bus Controller  Network Controller  also I cannot get my WiFi adapter to turn on with the button on keyboard - I suspect that it must be my network controller but I cannot locate the driver for it.
I have Acer Aspire 5050, and I very satisfy with it. But...when I reinstall windows XP professional could not install Network Controller. They are staying with question sign(?) in device list.. Now, when I connect to the internet, after some time windows shown me a "Win32 generic host error", or something like that. With that error my internet connection become broken and I could not disconect manualy. Instead manual disconnection, I need to restart computer to gain again internet connection... Does anyone knows what is a problem and where I could find network controller drivers(I tried at www.acer.com and could not find the network controll drivers)?
I just changed mine Windows 7 64 bit os to windows 7 32 bit os. After setup all of the driver were installed beside Network Controller which i think the wireless lan is. My laptop is N4110 inspiron.
My wireless is not working yet. I'm assuming its because Network Controller is not installed yet. How to install the Network Contoller driver for Inspiron 1525?
1) new hard drive installed
2) installed OS from Factory CD
3) I have followed the proper sequence for driver installation
4) I tried drivers using my Service Tag and not using service tag (it installed Ethernet but not the Network Controller)
5) i don't see any manufacturer info or model information  in the  sysinfo or Control Panel properties
Only way to possibly identify the wireless card is from the card itself and that isn't mush work either:
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium on my laptop and I am currently not able to connect to the internet. I looked up the Device Manager and I found that the drivers for Network Controller is missing.Â
I have a HP 17-F049NB and reinstalled Windows 7 from scratch.
Everything seems to work well excepted the Wi-Fi: Windows marks the network controller as not known with the little yellow mark and I just can't seem to find any driver. Â Computer infos: Â Ref: HP 17-F049NB Motherboard ref: Hewlett-Packard 227F 77.15 Product NO: J3S43EA#UUG
I have a Dell XPS PP09L laptop and Windows XP needs a driver for the built-in network controller and when I do a search for it on the dell website nothing comes up. I even googled it and the links that came up led me to a no results page on Dell. What is the model of the network controller that's in this model and where I can get a driver for it?
I have an Inspiron 1545 & had to reinstall Windows Vista. I've had to do this before, but this time I cannot get the Network Controller to work correctly. I have downloaded and installed all of the drivers, I believe in the correct order, but it still tells me it can't find the Network Controller driver.Â

I have just rebuilt HP Laptop G6-2292sa Laptop from Windows 8 to Win 7 64bit unable to find the drivers for Network controler onboard and USB drivers I have install all other drivers ok .
The model of my HP Pavillion is 15-b146sa and I'm using Windows 7 ultimate x64 (and I always did). The problem is that when I try to instal any driver, I do it, but a few seconds later it asks me to choose between two options. First one is: Reinstal, using recommended settings Second one is: This program installed correctly.  No matter what I choose, the driver is  not installed.  Network Controller Info PCIVEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_1838103C&REV_01
I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6187cl Notebook and my Network Controller has seemed to quit working. I have tried numerous solutions and none of them have worked. I recently did a factory image restore on my PC, but before I did the most recent restore, I did the same thing and tried to update the driver and it worked like a charm. This time, its not so easy.Â

The wireless network controller isn't working and has a yellow ! in the device manager. Win7 has no idea what it is. No driver info is displayed and nothing is found when Update Driver is run.  It's definitely a software issue as I can get it working fine if I boot from a linux live CD.  Computer: hp 15-g020ca Driver page: Software & driver downloads HP 15-g020ca Notebook PC | HP® Support (There's nothing there for a wireless card.)
I was tinkering away on my HP Compaq Pressario SQ62-220SB when I somehow deleted some drivers. Not that big of an issue, but I can't get my wireless to work again. The device messenger displays an issue with the Network Controller, which I suppose is the wireless connection.  where to get the fitting drivers? Or what to do?  Additional info: PCIVEN_10EC&DEV_8171&SUBSYS_1467103C&REV_10PCIVEN_10EC&DEV_8171& SUBSYS_1467103CPCIVEN_10EC&DEV_8171&CC_028000PCIVEN_10EC&DEV_8171&CC_0280
I bought this laptop for my son to use and like many, he didn't care for Windows 8. So, I downloaded the drivers for the laptop and then did a clean install of Windows 7 Professional. I have been unable to find a driver that will work for the Network Controller. The drivers you can download on the Lenovo site do not work. This computer is useless to him unless we can get the wireless working.
Here are the spec and drivers needed.
