Dell :: M1530 And Vista 64 Bits
Sep 27, 2008I have a XPS M1530 and I installed different versions of Vista 64 bits on it (Ultimate & home premium)...
when the system in running on a 64 bits OS it's verry slow...
When I'm browsing the internet is slow... Scrolling isn't fluently...
When it plays an alert sound it's like: "bbr ooo nnnn ggg"
Which driver could cause this?

Feb 18, 2008here's the problems:
1. The damn CPU whining? I know everyone has it. Dell said last time I called that they're working on some way to fix it. The new A09 Bios didn't seem to do anything for me, or anyone else apparently according to dell's support forum. What's up with that?
2. My laptop wobbles on the top right and bottom left corners. it only wobbles if I use my 6cell batt, and it doesn't wobble w/ the 9 Cell. So does that mean the 6cell's rubber feet thing on the top right corner isn't high enough? Can dell fix that?
3. The "increase volume" media button thing isn't as responsive as the other ones. i have to press really hard to get it to respond. all the other ones i just tap it lightly, and it works.
Here's some questions that I know Dell has no clue what to do with:
4. I'm currently using Vista Ultimate on this only because I couldn't get my bluetooth driver and my sigmatel audio driver to work properly on XP. since dell hasn't released a xp bluetooth driver, i used WIDCOMM 5.1 stack, and the bluetooth headset and stereo headset drivers would disable the sigmatel drivers. really annoying. cmd51229 says he's gotten it to work:..........................

I launched setup and durring instalation it crashed. Later I found out that those drivers were for 64bit vista..................

Drivers are all updated, the cable itself is fine (Works perfectly for picture), and the integrated speakers work fine when sound is routed through them.

Apr 26, 2010I have a Dell XPS M1530, and have recently joined the HD Television world and bought a Toshiba 40" 40RV525RZ. I was checking out the HDMI feature on the laptop, checking out how I might be able to use the tv as an awesome monitor replacement. Looks great so far!
My problem is that the audio from the TV is slightly out of sync from the audio on my laptop. Considering I can't turn off the audio on my laptop without turning off the audio on the television (at least, if I can I don't know how), it's annoying having the echo effect coming from my TV and the stereo attached to it.

Jan 5, 2009I decided to upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate after having run XP Pro on my M1530 for the past 6 months. XP ran flawlessly on the machine, but I wanted to bring the software up to speed with what's currently on the market.
So far everything is fine except for on minor issue. I am having a random spikes of DPC latency that are causing a brief 'stutter' or 'crackle' when playing audio or video files.
The problem was initially quite bad, but after installing the drivers found at Crackle Sound FIX for the WLAN 1505 card the problem has gotten significantly better. But as you can see, it is still an issue:

I haven't a clue what the DUP package is. The real change, as far as I can see, is that I no longer have to manually disable the internal speakers in order to get bass out through the external audio device.
