For those of you out there who have a Studio 1555, 1557, 1558, or Studio XPS 1640, 1645, or 1647, there is a new audio driver available from Dell for the IDT High Definition Audio device that ships with our notebooks.
Dell's "Fixes and Enhancements" cite that it improves audio output stability, and in my personal testing I have found that it resolves issues related to jack switching with applications such as Skype and the well-known issue where plugging in or unplugging an external audio device to either of the output jacks could potentially cause any audio-related applications to crash ......
Yesterday I uninstalled IDT Audio driver by mistake. Now my NB doesn't have any sound. Where can I download the IDT audio installer for my NB?  Version that I use is showing as Windows 7 64 Home Prem OA.  Product Number: B5A09UA#ABA Model Name: HP Pavilion g6-2040nr Notebook PC
I recently bought a HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j009wm which initially had windows 8, I installed a new O. S. Windows 8.1 64 bit and lost the driver pack for beats audio, I have been searching online for a download but cant seem to get a link to download.
I downgraded from win 8 to win 7 with a clean install and although I have the sound workling I cant find the correct driver in other forum posts to get beats audio installed. Link to the correct download : Â Also I would like to get the on screen volume indicator back. Â Pavilion -15-p145na Windows 7 home premium 64bit
1. The damn CPU whining? I know everyone has it. Dell said last time I called that they're working on some way to fix it. The new A09 Bios didn't seem to do anything for me, or anyone else apparently according to dell's support forum. What's up with that?
2. My laptop wobbles on the top right and bottom left corners. it only wobbles if I use my 6cell batt, and it doesn't wobble w/ the 9 Cell. So does that mean the 6cell's rubber feet thing on the top right corner isn't high enough? Can dell fix that?
3. The "increase volume" media button thing isn't as responsive as the other ones. i have to press really hard to get it to respond. all the other ones i just tap it lightly, and it works.
Here's some questions that I know Dell has no clue what to do with:
4. I'm currently using Vista Ultimate on this only because I couldn't get my bluetooth driver and my sigmatel audio driver to work properly on XP. since dell hasn't released a xp bluetooth driver, i used WIDCOMM 5.1 stack, and the bluetooth headset and stereo headset drivers would disable the sigmatel drivers. really annoying. cmd51229 says he's gotten it to work:..........................
I'm owning an ultrabook - HP SpectreXT 13-2106TU. No sounds coming out from my laptop for a few days now. I've tried troubleshooting - it says : IDT High Definition Audio CODEC has a driver problem.
I've installed win7 64bit sp1 operating system on my hp r033tx notebook pc.But the DTS audio control panel is n't showing even I've downloaded the driver software from HP official website for windows7 64bits os.
Dell has released a new IDT driver. The links says A05 but the file name is A06.
XP or Vista.

Fixes and Enhancements Added DUP package.
I haven't a clue what the DUP package is. The real change, as far as I can see, is that I no longer have to manually disable the internal speakers in order to get bass out through the external audio device.
On a clean install of Windows 7 x64 RTM the latest driver available from Dell support (v6.10.0.6162, A14) seems to crash at random intervals. Only a reboot fixes the problem. It makes running the IDT drivers almost impossible but there are some features such as analogue 5.1 which I can't do without.
When I try to official install the IDT audio driver released for my Inspiron 17R SE Windows 8 Pro, it gives an error: "The hardware detected is not supported by this IDT software package" Driver details: Audio - Driver Description Importance Version Released Supported OS Download IDT Audio driver IDT Audio driver A03 Optional 6.10.0.6426 2/8/2013 Windows 7 32-bit Windows 7 64-bit Windows 8 32-bit Windows 8 64-bit [External] I had the same problem with the last release also. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio driver and chipset drivers.
I installed XP Pro SP2 to get the drivers from the Asia Sony site to work... but the Audio driver wont work, all the others do... what can I try? I have the VGN-S58GP
I have an Dell Studio 1535, and I have installed the IDT 92HD73C1 Audio Driver, versión 6.10.0.6162. When I first updated my old IDT driver, the SRS Premium Sound appear in the IDT audio Settings, however it doesn't work,
when I enable the SRS processing I can't hear any difference in the sound quality, just the same!!
So I unnistalled the driver (though it was going to solve the problem), did a registry cleanning, restarted and installed the driver back. Now there is no SRS Premium Sound option in the IDT Audio Control Pannel!!, the SRS Sound option disappear
a new IDT audio driver to test ! It seems to me the slight pop when changing song in WMP12 is gone but I'm not too sure. I just downloaded it and might need more people to test it out to see if it fixes the crackling/popping sound.

Second, a new Synaptics touchpad driver to update too. I've always wanted to double tap to access the secondary menu like mac and I found a way to it ! With this 2-finger-gesture tool, our touchpad is exactly like MAC ! (no four fingers yet though) And now, you can double tap like mac multitouch to initiate secondary menu !
My audio on the bottom right icon tray comes as a cross and it when ever I boot up. If I troubleshoot it says install the IDT audio driver and it will solve it. An yes the cross goes away but come back with the next boot of Windows
i own a HP notebook model 15e070sl currently running Windows 8.1 Update x64.Today the HP Support Assistant reminded me that there's an update for my audio driver and i tried to install it, but the installation failed. So i tried downloading the driver manually also but still the installation fails; the update is called sp62228 for Realtek Audio Driver (with DTS Sound) and this is the error it returns: Â Codice di errore: -5009 : 0x8002802bInformazioni sull'errore:>CtorObjectWrapper.cpp (163)>CtorObjectWrapper.cpp (402)>KernelComponent.cpp (1163)>KernelCABFile.cpp (389)>SetupDLLSetupDLL.cpp (1541)pAPP:Realtek High Definition Audio DriverPVENDOR:Realtek Semiconductor Corp.PGUID:f132af7f-7bca-4ede-8a7c-958108fe7dbc$11.50.0.42618@Windows (9200) BT_OTHER 1714.1716 Â i had the same error with this driver even when the PC was running Windows 8 and later with Windows 8.1, so i postponed the update but it still doesn't work. I tried installing it when the PC was new out of the box, so i can say that for sure the problem is not related to any program i may have installed. I also tried uninstalling the audio driver but still it won't install, and i have to restore the previous driver via HP Recovery.
i'm the owner of a sleekbook HP Pavilion 15-b040sl. The OS is Windows 8.A few days ago i found a problem about the sound: the speaker didn't emit sound;Â all video or mp3 starts without sound.I decided to disinstall the driver of the sound. There were 3 driver; I found just 1, the others generated error during the installation.I miss two driver, i can't find them: Â - IDT HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO CODEC Â - NVIDIA VIRTUAL AUDIO DEVICE (WAVE EXTENSIBLE) Â (WDM)

I am wondering the Realtek audio driver provided in the acer webpage can be used in aspire 1690 as the sound card is Conexant. Anyone can get the sound card works in windows vista. I tried but it failed.
For me, the issue is that sometimes on startup I get an error message that says the driver experienced an error and it closes and so I can't hear any audio out of my speakers until I restart. This happens randomly on some startups and today it happened when I opened iTunes for some reason.
I currently use driver version 6.10.6087.0 A which is what HP claims on their site is the latest version for my dv7t-1000.
I've read that some people use 6.10.6087.22.
And I just saw today that there is a 6.10.6087.60 C for the dv7t-2000.
My question is, can I use this new driver? How should I go about installing it?
Windows Update just offered me a new IDT High Definition Audio Driver for my dv5t. I decided not to install it yet. Has anybody tried it? What version is it?
2 years later and still no x64 vista audio driver for dv8130. I have looked all over the place for some kind of work around, I find lots of tips, and drivers for different models nothing WORKS. the closest I get it during the install it will say media device not found for driver. I dont even know what chipset the sound card is, for vista x32 it has a driver it just says conexant ac-link
i recently upgraded my hp compaq nc 6120 opperting system from xp to windows 7 32 bit since then there is cross mark on the speaker and i cannt find any sound or the driver.Â
