HP Compaq Nc 6120 OS/Software :: Can't Find Audio Driver
Sep 13, 2014
i recently upgraded my hp compaq nc 6120 opperting system from xp to windows 7 32 bit since then there is cross mark on the speaker and i cannt find any sound or the driver.
I have an Inspiron 1720. When I purchased the laptop, it was on Windows Vista but with all of the head aches I've been getting while using Vista, I decided to switch back to XP. I got almost all drivers for my laptop except for the Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus driver.
The issue is most noticeable when I'm listening to my music, in any program. It gets unbearable at times. However, when I stream videos or watch DVDs, the issues seems much less prevalent. Actually, there will be times where I really can't notice the issue at all while streaming video or watching DVDs. Then again, sometimes the issue just goes away entirely. But it has always come back. Basically, it's very inconsistent, but it's a problem.
The sound is a very distinct popping noise, which sometimes occurs in sets of around 3-6 right in a row, or it can sometimes be very sporadic. Also, my audio sometimes tends to "skip," usually when click on buttons, open programs, view certain web pages, or move my mouse over certain things. It's unpredictable.
I'm pretty stumped as to what could be causing it. The annoying part is that I had this issue when I first got my laptop several months ago. However, I managed to fix it. I think by disabling the IDT power management settings. But, my hard drive died on me, so I got a replacement from HP. Ever since the replacement, the problem has been back.
I already know the 320M Drivers are not yet release. Done.
But I can't find a way to install ANY driver I downloaded. None of them will install. Giving me message that there is no compatible hardware.
The only one that will install is from HP's website, but that only installs NVIDIA HD Audio. It doesn't install display drivers at all. W(T)F. Where is the display driver in that install?
I am stuck on the 1280x720 resolution and I cant go up to my native resolution at 1366x768.
I am tired of already spending countless hours downloading and searching for a driver that will work.
For me, the issue is that sometimes on startup I get an error message that says the driver experienced an error and it closes and so I can't hear any audio out of my speakers until I restart. This happens randomly on some startups and today it happened when I opened iTunes for some reason.
I currently use driver version 6.10.6087.0 A which is what HP claims on their site is the latest version for my dv7t-1000.
I've read that some people use 6.10.6087.22.
And I just saw today that there is a 6.10.6087.60 C for the dv7t-2000.
My question is, can I use this new driver? How should I go about installing it?
Windows Update just offered me a new IDT High Definition Audio Driver for my dv5t. I decided not to install it yet. Has anybody tried it? What version is it?
2 years later and still no x64 vista audio driver for dv8130. I have looked all over the place for some kind of work around, I find lots of tips, and drivers for different models nothing WORKS. the closest I get it during the install it will say media device not found for driver. I dont even know what chipset the sound card is, for vista x32 it has a driver it just says conexant ac-link
I recently bought a HP ENVY TouchSmart 15-j009wm which initially had windows 8, I installed a new O. S. Windows 8.1 64 bit and lost the driver pack for beats audio, I have been searching online for a download but cant seem to get a link to download.
I downgraded from win 8 to win 7 with a clean install and although I have the sound workling I cant find the correct driver in other forum posts to get beats audio installed. Link to the correct download :
Also I would like to get the on screen volume indicator back.
I'm owning an ultrabook - HP SpectreXT 13-2106TU. No sounds coming out from my laptop for a few days now. I've tried troubleshooting - it says : IDT High Definition Audio CODEC has a driver problem.
I've installed win7 64bit sp1 operating system on my hp r033tx notebook pc.But the DTS audio control panel is n't showing even I've downloaded the driver software from HP official website for windows7 64bits os.
I am facing problem relating to PCI Device. Whenever i click on this driver in device manager i get a message that it is not installed. On updation too i am getting this message that windows could not find driver software for this device.

1. The damn CPU whining? I know everyone has it. Dell said last time I called that they're working on some way to fix it. The new A09 Bios didn't seem to do anything for me, or anyone else apparently according to dell's support forum. What's up with that?
2. My laptop wobbles on the top right and bottom left corners. it only wobbles if I use my 6cell batt, and it doesn't wobble w/ the 9 Cell. So does that mean the 6cell's rubber feet thing on the top right corner isn't high enough? Can dell fix that?
3. The "increase volume" media button thing isn't as responsive as the other ones. i have to press really hard to get it to respond. all the other ones i just tap it lightly, and it works.
Here's some questions that I know Dell has no clue what to do with:
4. I'm currently using Vista Ultimate on this only because I couldn't get my bluetooth driver and my sigmatel audio driver to work properly on XP. since dell hasn't released a xp bluetooth driver, i used WIDCOMM 5.1 stack, and the bluetooth headset and stereo headset drivers would disable the sigmatel drivers. really annoying. cmd51229 says he's gotten it to work:..........................
I am looking for a X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook and I can't find them anywhere.
I was told that the Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD (which I have) does support the Logitech Z 5500. I just have to use both of the headphone input as well as the mic input. If that's true, then the ISBA HD supports 5.1?
A friend of mine has the dv2000 pavilion laptop with vista installed. He decided to uninstall vista and install xp 64bit. The problem now is that I cannot find the vga or audio drivers anywhere
Some spec: AMD Turion 64 x 2 TL-58, 1.9 GHz, 1.93 Gb Ram, Windows XP Home Edition SP2
I recently bought a nice HP 250 G3 (code: J4R70EA). I'm quite sattisfied with my purchase (even if there was a dead pixel that now I fixed). I also managed to install and find all the drivers (since it came with FreeDOS), except for the touchpad driver. The touchpad works but all the useful gestures are missing.
find the latest updated driver for my touchpad so that I can use gestures efficiently? I have a Windows 7 32bit OS. HP only provides 64bit drivers for my laptop. I'd like to keep the 32bit.
So I am trying to find the AHCI driver for my m1530 but I dont see it under drivers for my service tag, does this mean I dont need it? In my BIOS I have that as an option though!
I just bought a HP 255 G2 laptop and downgraded it to win7 ultimate 64bit.I can not find any suitable driver for it, nothing works.I've tried 1. MediaTek(Ralink)802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN (WLAN) Adapter (International) 5.0.45.017 Apr 2014 36.3
I'm looking for my laptop's driver since I got an original Windows 8.1 cd... But then I can't find mine. I need them, the driver. Why this laptop (DM1 4000au) isn't in the list? It's a HP genuine laptop, right?
