Dell :: Trying To Find A X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook For My M1730
Aug 19, 2009
I am looking for a X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook and I can't find them anywhere.
I was told that the Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD (which I have) does support the Logitech Z 5500. I just have to use both of the headphone input as well as the mic input. If that's true, then the ISBA HD supports 5.1?
I have a M1730 and was looking for some drivers which I cant find out. My laptop is still in warranty so I talked with a representative. He/she found me the drivers and now I am being charged for that saying its dell on call service. I had a chat using Contact Technical Support and now I have a due.
HP Pavilion dv6-7030tx Entertainment Notebook PC Windows 7 Intel i7-3610QM CPU @2.3GHz 8Gb Ram  I have no audio. It has been previously working, but suddenly stopped. On the small speaker icon there is a red cross indicating "No Audio Output Device is enabled" When I log on to the computer i get a window that says "CWindowsSystem32AUDIOSES.DLL is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."  I have attempted to Troubleshoot but unable to get any sound. I have updated the Audio driver, but it is the up to date driver.

I have followed the instructions in Testing for Hardware Failure on HP Support.
My M1730 can’t boot to Vista. It says in red “FAILED”. Also says It can’t find any bootable devices. I did do the test (The one where you press F8 I think) more than once.
I just got my Windows Vista Home Premium OEM disc from Newegg today, I left my original dell one in storage back in NY. It can boot from the disc, but it can’t repair my laptop. So is the HDD dead or what? =/
How do I find out what MB I have in my evo N800c notebook?I have looked in the bios and system info and only see the CPU info.I'm have what I believe is a viedo card problem due to the frequte shutdowns when watching videos or playing games.does this sound like a video card problem?or something else?when it shuts down the power light is on and the light down by the lacth is on but the HDD light is off.I have swicth out the memory and no change, have run the HDD testers HP's and others and the drive checks out fine.ran a memory test and it checked out fine.ran a video test and it says it fine,so....... what can be the prob?that's why I thinking replace the MB but don't know the model # and type.I do have another N800c with a smaller processor and was wondering if I could take the board out of the other one and swap processor etc.
I have a fairly new (purchased in April) HP Pavilion TS 15 Notebook PC. The audio isn't working, and I'm not sure how long this has been going on or if it ever worked. The speaker bars on the task bar look like sound is coming through, but I can't hear anything through the laptop speakers and only light static when using headphones. Â Edited to add: Product # is F5Y67UA#ABA. Operating system is Windows 8.1 64-bit.
I have a problem with my HP Envy dv6 notbook. It can't find and connect to the wifi. But the other laptops in the house do. And when I can make connection its very weak and shut down continuous.  technical information: producktname: HP ENVY dv6 Notebook PC producktnumber: D4F57EA#UUG operating system: Windows 8.1 64 bits Bios: F.22 Network: Intel(R) centrino(R) Wireless-N  2230     version: 15.12.0.6
After downgrading from windows 8 to windows 7 the usb slot on the right side of the laptop is working, nut the two on the left hand side are not working. Windows driver search says no driver found and unidentified ERROR.
i have a Envy TS m7 computer with windows 8.1 64bit. I purchased a z8000 bluetooth mouse but i can't get my computer to see it. i have checked the the box "allow bluetooth devices to find this PC".
i recently upgraded my hp compaq nc 6120 opperting system from xp to windows 7 32 bit since then there is cross mark on the speaker and i cannt find any sound or the driver.Â
A friend of mine has the dv2000 pavilion laptop with vista installed. He decided to uninstall vista and install xp 64bit. The problem now is that I cannot find the vga or audio drivers anywhere  Some spec: AMD Turion 64 x 2 TL-58, 1.9 GHz, 1.93 Gb Ram, Windows XP Home Edition SP2
The issue is most noticeable when I'm listening to my music, in any program. It gets unbearable at times. However, when I stream videos or watch DVDs, the issues seems much less prevalent. Actually, there will be times where I really can't notice the issue at all while streaming video or watching DVDs. Then again, sometimes the issue just goes away entirely. But it has always come back. Basically, it's very inconsistent, but it's a problem.
The sound is a very distinct popping noise, which sometimes occurs in sets of around 3-6 right in a row, or it can sometimes be very sporadic. Also, my audio sometimes tends to "skip," usually when click on buttons, open programs, view certain web pages, or move my mouse over certain things. It's unpredictable.
I'm pretty stumped as to what could be causing it. The annoying part is that I had this issue when I first got my laptop several months ago. However, I managed to fix it. I think by disabling the IDT power management settings. But, my hard drive died on me, so I got a replacement from HP. Ever since the replacement, the problem has been back.
I have an Inspiron 1720. When I purchased the laptop, it was on Windows Vista but with all of the head aches I've been getting while using Vista, I decided to switch back to XP. I got almost all drivers for my laptop except for the Modem Device on High Definition Audio Bus driver.
i have no audio on my laptop. ive tried restarting, ive run my cleaners. im at a loss as to what to do next. i have an hp 2000 notebook with windows 8. my audio was working perfectly fine a couple days ago. i havn't made any changes to my computer. it just stopped working.
Ok, I havent had sound on my HP for 8 months. I have done all the troubleshooting I can and I really need to have sound on this PC. I have been working on this all week. Do I need to do a factory restore?? Model XY980UA#ABA, HP Pavilion DV6 Notebook.Â
type of connector needed for digital audio? I have not been able to confirm that my Acer 7720-6395 NB has a dual digital connection. The manual calls the jack a S/PDIF but looks like and allows a stereo plug to work. Talking to the folks at the Sony store claims that the jack could be a dual connector and would work with a headphone or a optical connection. Would love to watch a blue ray movie with 5.1 sound......
I have two older notebooks in the house that have the exact same audio card in them as the newest notebook that I have has, namely the IDT audio card.
There seems to be one thing that different between my notebook and the two others, my notebook seems to have something called "SRS Powered Premium Sound".
So I decided to take the same software that is used on my notebook and installed it on the older notebooks thinking that this would enable the SRS on the older notebooks but that doesn't seem to be the case.
What is going on with the SRS? Is it software? Hardware? A flip of a software switch?
Product Name is HP Pavilion 15 Notebook, Windows 8, no error messages, I did not make any change/s in the system. the problem now is that i cant hear any sound from the system
My Windows 8.1 Envy m6 is not playing sound through either the internal or external speakers. Â I have tried the following fixes with the following results:
1) run troubleshooter - audio services not running. Unable to start it; error states endpoint is duplicate
2) update drivers - no fix (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC -Â 6.10.6433.0)
I have an HP Pavilion G6 notebook and I recently bought a USB microphone for recording. I installed the mic and tested it but when I tried to turn the internal mic back on I couldn't get it to record! The speakers and webcam still work fine. what can I do?
I just purchased a HP 15-r014TU Notebook, which comes with FreeDOS as I purchased a Windows 8.1 license as part of a student deal in campus. Â I used the official Windows USB installer to make a bootable USB of the ISO file. It booted fine, but after selecting the install option, I recieved a error that said "Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation". It looked like this:
I recently noticed my Pavilion dv7 entertainment notebook won't play sound through the tv anymore. The picture is on the tv but sound is running through the laptop speakers? I never had a problem with this until now. When i open up the sound options, the ATI HDMI output says it's not connected and so it wont let me select it, but it is connected?
Product name: HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC Product number: D1E93UA#ABA Â I have uninstalled/re-installed the driver, rebooted, and still no sound. Â When I right-click Speakers/HP, and Test - the pop-up says Device in Use. Â There are no legit applications using the device. Â I have been running Windows Defender since I used the official HP Recovery Discs I ordered. Â I have not visited questionable websites, yet, it looks like I have malware? Â
I use an HP ENVY M6 notebook running Windows 8.1, 64 bit. I was seeing a lot of unwanted popups telling me I needed Java or other add ons which I don't. The computer is less than a month old. I went to that day's downloads and deleted everything I found from that day. Since then, I have no sound. I probably deleted something but I thought I was pretty careful. Can I download a sound card?
