HP 15-r014TU OS/Software :: Installing Windows 8.1 In Notebook - Cannot Find Microsoft Software License Terms
Oct 25, 2014
I just purchased a HP 15-r014TU Notebook, which comes with FreeDOS as I purchased a Windows 8.1 license as part of a student deal in campus.
I used the official Windows USB installer to make a bootable USB of the ISO file. It booted fine, but after selecting the install option, I recieved a error that said "Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation". It looked like this:
I bought a dell inspiron 3520 recently. It has windows 8 installed. When i try to activate Microsoft office, it asks me for product key. My laptop does not have a COA sticked to it and i did not get a MPI card with the package delivered where this info is available.
I am using windows 7 professional 64 bit, on 15 r014tu notebook.
In my system Screen brightness is not getting changed using F2 F3 Keys since i bought notebook, Im not even finding slider in control panel->Hardware and sound-> Power options->change plan settings.BIOS Version is: Insyde F.14, 3/19/2014.
Also I need below drivers:Intel HD graphics VGA:PCIVEN_8086&DEV_0A16
I recently received my W530 with Win8 and I cannot find the Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity label. It's not on the bottom of the laptop nor is it there when I remove the battery. Have they moved the location?
my new Studio 1737 did not come with McAfee Security Center or Microsoft Office Home & Student pre loaded...
can I just pop them in my cd drive and install them? Should I do anything different first? Also noticed that my McAfee disck states..."This Cd only installs a trial version of your McAfee programs..
How do I find out what MB I have in my evo N800c notebook?I have looked in the bios and system info and only see the CPU info.I'm have what I believe is a viedo card problem due to the frequte shutdowns when watching videos or playing games.does this sound like a video card problem?or something else?when it shuts down the power light is on and the light down by the lacth is on but the HDD light is off.I have swicth out the memory and no change, have run the HDD testers HP's and others and the drive checks out fine.ran a memory test and it checked out fine.ran a video test and it says it fine,so....... what can be the prob?that's why I thinking replace the MB but don't know the model # and type.I do have another N800c with a smaller processor and was wondering if I could take the board out of the other one and swap processor etc.
I don't really get why no other companies out there tried to beat the size and weight set by macbook air. I know many sacrifices were made when macbook air was designed 2 years ago, but I thought years later companies would have designed notebooks/netbooks of similar or smaller size without making too much sacrifice. what is the reason no one tries to beat this? all the notebooks out there are still at least 1 inch.
I recently had to open up my HP G7 laptop to blow the dust of my fan and under the keyboard. When I put they keyboard back together, my wifi didn't work. I'm now on a ethernet connection. Opening network connection, there's no wifi adapter icon. I've tried installing the driver, but mid install I get this message "The driver files you wish to remove will not be removed as the corresponding card is not installed". I don't know what this means, but when I finish the install, the wireless connection is still not shown in network connections, and the driver doesnt show on device manager. What else can I try?
I have brought a new dell studio 1435 laptop and they provided me with default windows vista home premiun OS.

I am looking for a X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook and I can't find them anywhere.
I was told that the Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy HD (which I have) does support the Logitech Z 5500. I just have to use both of the headphone input as well as the mic input. If that's true, then the ISBA HD supports 5.1?
I have a problem with my HP Envy dv6 notbook. It can't find and connect to the wifi. But the other laptops in the house do. And when I can make connection its very weak and shut down continuous.

I'm not sure if this really needs a separate thread or could go in the VM sticky, but I thought it's pretty important.
It's just been revealed that Windows 7 will have a Virtual Windows XP mode that will basically be running Windows XP in a VM and include integration features like Coherence in VMWare Fusion and Unity in Parallels Desktop. They are doing this to address the remaining software backwards compatibility issues in Windows 7. Of course, Microsoft being Microsoft with their product segmentation, is currently limiting access to Windows XP mode for Professional Edition users and higher, although it is commendable that they are offering it for free.
Why is this significant for Macs? I think this is very useful because future Window operating systems and applications will be written with the expectation that they will be running in VMs in future OS for compatibility. It wouldn't surprise me if Windows 7 (kernel 6.1) and Office 2010 are already being designed in a way so that they can run well in a VM for a future kernel 7.0 based Windows OS. These optimizations would of course benefit Mac users who still have to use Windows application or perhaps even play games. I'm sure it'll also be a compelling transition point to encourage switchers, especially if they are already familiar with virtualization from Windows 7.
After downgrading from windows 8 to windows 7 the usb slot on the right side of the laptop is working, nut the two on the left hand side are not working. Windows driver search says no driver found and unidentified ERROR.
I'd really like a SSD drive as I need speed over storage. So I'm wondering if it possible to install a SSD drive in a Vaio SR laptop. What do I do about drivers?
I have my choices down between a Lenovo X301 with a SSD and a Vaio SR210 without a SSD. I like the looks of the Vaio better, but I'm willing to pay for a SSD premium.
If anyone has had any success installing a SSD in a Vaio laptop(where SSD's are not an option) I'd love to hear about it?
i have a Envy TS m7 computer with windows 8.1 64bit. I purchased a z8000 bluetooth mouse but i can't get my computer to see it. i have checked the the box "allow bluetooth devices to find this PC".
After confirming my computer has Microsoft 7 [32 bit] installed, after confirming that my computer shows this program updated as of today and that my computer shows Microsoft t as "activated" under Computer/Properties I am still asked for product key and then told I have incorrect #. I have also confirmed I have a microsoft product key and it is not a serial #, model # etc. It is clearly marked.
I have a Microsoft Windows 10 on a trial basis that works OK but not the 7.
I just received a refurbished M4400 and had no problem changing it to the A03 bios.
When I tried to install the latest Nvidia 179.48 notebook gpu driver (for Windows XP -32 bit), I get the following message...
"The Nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatable with your current hardware. Setup will now terminate."
Can anyone tell me why this gpu driver will not load? Do I have to do something different in order to get this driver to be accepted by this M770 business gpu?
Does the Microsoft Window's 7 installation CD automatically recognize the mSATA and the Optimus in conjunction with the Intel HD 4000 as well as the fingerprint reader for login? Or do I have to download the drivers and install ExpressCache separately off of Lenovo's website... trying to stay clear of Lenovo drivers that might conflict with Intel's and NVIDIA's.
The hard drive on my Aspire 5745 was replaced (same size 640 GB) when I install Windows, it hangs on the Windows logo as its swirling and about to start. I have checked in the BIOS to disable UEFI boot but unable to see this option.
I just installed Windows 8 on my HDX 16 and I quickly found out the drivers for the network adapters are not installed by default. When I go to HP's website, there are no drivers for Windows 8, just Windows 7. When I tried installing windows 7 drivers, it told me it was the wrong verson. That was for the Ethernet port. For my wifi, it's telling me I need to have .net framework 2.0 or higher, and won't let me install that driver. After making sure I installed the latest version, it still doesn't detect that I have the latest .net.
I have installed Windows 7 Pro 64 Bit, on a HP 255 G3 Notebook. I need to know where can i find Windows 7 Drivers for this model? HP WEB Site only offers drivers for Windows 8.1.
