View 8 RepliesI have a hp pavilion 15-e078ea, core i5 processor, 2.6ghz, 8gb ram, windows 8.1 64bit....
After updating windows to 8.1 the dts audio control panel will not allow me to use audio enhancements or
the graphic equalizer....
I have looked on hp support and done all driver updates and it is still not working....
I am assuming this is a software issue. will there be an update?
After i installed windows 8.1 64 bit on my device, the audio beats control doesn't appear and i don't know if it's working properly or not, and i don't know if it's built in the original speakers.
My Device: HP Pavillion 15-p150ne
OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit
I've installed win7 64bit sp1 operating system on my hp r033tx notebook pc.But the DTS audio control panel is n't showing even I've downloaded the driver software from HP official website for windows7 64bits os.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Pavilion G6-2252sa Notebook running Windows 8 and I have just installed 8.1. All is OK, except the equalizer function in Dolby Advanced Audio V2 is no longer working. You can still move the equalizer sliders but the actual sound quality remains the same. It just sounds flat as if all sliders are permanently set at zero.

I upgrade my laptop to windows 8.1. But a few drivers were missing after installing those some unknown devices are showing in device manager. Apart from that sound driver works just fine but beats control panel won't open with error shown.

I have installed Windows 8 on a HP dv6-6096 nr which I purchased in may 2011. I did an upgrade from Windows 7 Home Premium. Every time, I hightlight control panel, the machine reverts back to the desktop. How do I fix this?
I thave updated my video drivers. I an't tell waht other devices are not usiable in Windows 8.
I figured that I can go a clean install and all should work but I don't know if I can re-install under Windows 8.
Here is an update:The HP dvd6-6096nr used NON-STANDARD function which folks at HP, Microsoft and Microcenter have been made aware of. So the ways to get into Safe mode, Shift F8 is the easy way. For me, that doesn’t work. Using Windows key +x, lets me run msconfig.Using msconfig and booting into safe mode, action center tells me that I need to install 3 drivers: (Intel Bluetooth wireless driver, HP power management and Intel wireless display). Those were installed.I rebooted the machine, Control panel still crashes.Rebooted into safe mode, action center still shows that I need to install these 3 drivers.Since Microsoft makes it nearly impossible to boot windows to update drivers, that is where I am at. My choice is (1) install Windows 8 (not upgrade) or forget about Windows 8. The problem is (1) will Windows 8 re-activate and if other licensed software will re-install?
The new XPS 13 2015 touchpad works fine, but its missing any real options to manage it.

Because of a virus, I recently had to reinstall Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. I have gotten everything else working except the fingerprint reader.I have installed the Validity Fingerprint Reader driver from the Dell Support site. The fingerprint reader shows up in the Device Manager. However, the Biometric Devices applet doesn't appear in the Control Panel.
I tried letting Windows update detect the fingerprint reader. It installed a driver for a Synaptics device. This was enough to get the Biometric Devices applet to appear in the Control Panel. However, when I tried to configure the fingerprint reader, I got an error saying no fingerprint management software was installed. I have seen lots of posts online directing me to validityinc.com for drivers or the DigitalPersona software, but Validity Inc. seems to have gone out of business. The DigitalPersona software is available on the Dell Support site for my service tag.
I have even tried installing the Windows 8 Validity Sensor Driver for my laptop, but though it successfully installs, it produces the same results.
I have an HP Envy 17-j034ca Notebook PC with Beats Audio.
I recently did an upgrade to Windows 8.1/ 64 bit. The new ADT audio driver appears to have over ridden the Beats Audio equalizer and it has become inoperable. (the sound works but Beats not beating.)
Should I roll back the ADT driver?

I have a U310 ideapad. I turned it on this morning to listen to music on youtube. The videos wouldn't stream through but I was conected to the internet and view sites. Also the audio wasn't working on any applications. I have followed recomended sloutions by Lenovo and windows but it still wont work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWith my PC I can record streamed audio via Audacity. However I can only see the microphone as an input source for I/O inputs. I have looked at all settings and cannot find anything relevant. It seems you cannot also run the Realtek control panel presumably this is a Acer configuration.

My computer gets all current HP/Microsoft updates automatically. My volume control moves up and down automatically. I can choose mute and it will not stay muted. I have turned off my built-in microphone. I had to unistall my HP SmartMenu controls because the buttons wouldn't respond and the on-screen volume display would activate every time the windows volume control would move causing me not to be able to play any games. I have ran MSE and MalwareBytes and have not found any viruses or ad/spyware that is causing the trouble. I don't' know what to do..I really don't want to have to go through the process of windows re-install or game re-installing.
I did a clean install of Win 7 Pro and now the IDT control panel has disappeared along with the system tray icon.
I tried reinstalling the drivers but haven't figured out a way to get it to come back. I know its bloat, but I liked having the extra control over the sound...
Im using a dell inspiron 14r(5421); intel core15 3337u: intel Centrino 2230 wireless Bluetooth driver.
when I pair my phone (HTC Sensation) with my laptop I can only see the option to share files and transfer PIM objects. There is no option whatsoever to stream audio or to use my laptop as a headset. I had this option in my windows 7 acer laptop but that was using a Broadcom driver for Bluetooth..
I have an ACER Aspire 9413 (9410 Series) laptop..

When i install my driver the Realtek High-Definition Audio from official website of Acer. The install does everything fine, after reboot: No Sound...
In the hardware stuff i can't find anything of the installed driver (realtek). I know its This driver i need, because i had it working a while ago before i formatted my laptop...
I have a new Aspire 8935G with Realtek audio (AL889, if I read it well) and I'm not able to use digital output.
I tried using a common stereo jack to RCA cable, using just the left (black) RCA to plug into the digital COAX input of my ampilfier, but nothing came from the speakers.
Do you know how to setup the digital output of the Aspire?
I remember accidentally opening some transparent window that had a quick access to all the parts on my XPS m1530 and I believe it had the name
Dell in the titlebar, and it looked different than the Microsoft one (welcome window or whatever).
I have a problem with my laptop and it's spdif optic output. I want to connect it to my hi-fi but I am having trouble with enabling digital output. I just don't know how to do it
In my Realtek Mixer there are options only for analog outputs - no digital options at all. I use now the newest drivers, 1.70 or 1.77 - nothing. I've tried older versions, something like 1.30 and then spdif flashed red colour and I thought that it will be OK, but nope. Still no sound and no digital options in Realtek's mixer. On these new drivers (1.7x) it doesen't ever light up.
Someone here said that one cannot acutally see the LED inside blinking, well... I can see it As I told before on older drivers it's "on" all the time - althou no sound.
In the other topics I've read that one has to change default output to digital output - I see no such option, if I am just blind and retarded then someone posting a screenshot would be nice
I have a really annoying problem with sound quality. When i install the realtek hd audio driver, the sound starts to be noisy. I hear it when no sound is on output, or moving my mouse, HDD activity, etc. I used the sound card with win7 driver (no realtek), and it was really good, but the mic was just awful. 2 years ago i found an old version of realtek driver, which was good, but i dont remember the version number.
View 3 Replies View RelatedThis is on an M6400 with Windows 7 64-bit. I installed dell's newest drivers for Windows 7 64-bit, and everything seems to be working fine, but I don't have the Bluetooth item in Control Panel. That becomes an issue if I turn the Bluetooth radio off from the tray icon, because if I do so, the tray icon is gone, and there's no easy way to turn the radio back on.
So, does anybody know how to fix this?
Just installed 3dMark06 and Fear2. When I ran 3dMark06 i got ~11.800 points, after reading on several sites and comparing the scores it seemed pretty average/ even good.
I then tried Fear2, I maxed out the setting 1920x1200 / High / 0x AA /4xAF, it ran pretty smooth but then the trouble started..
It began every 5 or 6 seconds to stutter, the game would stop responding and the screen would freeze for a second..
Thinking it was the settings I put it down to 1280 and medium, no difference in fps and the stuttering was still there..
I tried Counter-strike, Prototype, Fallout 3 and a couple of other games, still the stutter in every single game..
In the nVidia contol panel I have disengaged the V-sync.
My speccs are 8800GTX SLI, T9300, 4gb Ram and Windows 32 bit Vista. I have updated all the drivers to the latest drivers and I have also made sure that PhysX is disabled.
The machine just came out of the factory so all the Dell software is still installed.
How can I manage to fix the stuttering problem?
I am also thinking about going over to Windows 7 seeing that it is free and supports 64-bit.
I have an Inspiron 15R laptop and I have found the touchpad to be very, very sensitive. I have found the adjustments but have not been able to decrease the sensitivity to my liking. So, I disabled the touchpad and installed a wireless mouse that I had used in the past but it now appears to have quit working. Is there a way to get to the control panel to re-enable the touchpad?
View 3 Replies View RelatedCW26FX - Anyone having trouble getting their video color settings to stick? I have adjusted my screen brightness/color/contrast via the NVidia Control Panel, but I periodically lose my settings. Initially there was a conflict with the VAIO Control Center - display settings there superseded whatever I did in the NVidia Control Panel. I eventually figured out how to get the NVidia Control Panel settings to stick by changing the display settings in the VAIO Control Center first - or at least I thought I did. It would work for a few reboots, but eventually I seemed to lose my settings again. So I uninstalled the VAIO Control Center hoping that would leave my NVidia Control Panel settings alone. But lo & behold I still periodically lose those settings (the NVidia Control Panel radio button "Other applications control color settings" is inexplicably selected.) Any ideas? (And yes, I hit "Apply" before closing out the NVidia Control Panel.)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI can't adjust screen brightness using either function key or in control panel. Using the function key the little panel of brightness volume shows up on the screen but does nothing. And in control panel, through either the bottom brightness scroll or the power option won't change anything. Only time when the brightness will change is I unplug the power, but in the power settings it won't let me change/adjust the brightness.
And what is the battery function key for? I press it and it does nothing. XPS L521x
