Beats Audio will not work on my new HP Laptop. The beats audio setting in control panel is just not functioning.
I have download IDT high definition Audio drivers sp63932.exe & sp63555.exe from hp support site but neither works.
Laptop- HP Pavilion 15-p117na TouchSmart Laptop (Energy Star).
Operating system - Windows 8.1 (64-bit).
After i installed windows 8.1 64 bit on my device, the audio beats control doesn't appear and i don't know if it's working properly or not, and i don't know if it's built in the original speakers.

woke up this morning, computer updated itself last night and today speakers were quiet so i went to activate beats from control panel and the option is missing entirely cant find it anywhere on the laptop. is there a place where i can redownload it so that these speakers audible.... they are so quiet without the beats audio
View 2 Replies View RelatedI upgrade my laptop to windows 8.1. But a few drivers were missing after installing those some unknown devices are showing in device manager. Apart from that sound driver works just fine but beats control panel won't open with error shown.

I have a hp pavilion 15-e078ea, core i5 processor, 2.6ghz, 8gb ram, windows 8.1 64bit....
After updating windows to 8.1 the dts audio control panel will not allow me to use audio enhancements or
the graphic equalizer....
I have looked on hp support and done all driver updates and it is still not working....
I am assuming this is a software issue. will there be an update?
I am having some trouble with beats audio. My laptop is a ENVY m6-1232ea.
My problem is that when I listen to music or watch a movie, and I go to change the EQ/bass settings it is completely ineffective. It just sounds completely flat. I tried turning on/off beats audio but the sound is still the same.

Deleted my beats audio eq.
Just installed 3dMark06 and Fear2. When I ran 3dMark06 i got ~11.800 points, after reading on several sites and comparing the scores it seemed pretty average/ even good.
I then tried Fear2, I maxed out the setting 1920x1200 / High / 0x AA /4xAF, it ran pretty smooth but then the trouble started..
It began every 5 or 6 seconds to stutter, the game would stop responding and the screen would freeze for a second..
Thinking it was the settings I put it down to 1280 and medium, no difference in fps and the stuttering was still there..
I tried Counter-strike, Prototype, Fallout 3 and a couple of other games, still the stutter in every single game..
In the nVidia contol panel I have disengaged the V-sync.
My speccs are 8800GTX SLI, T9300, 4gb Ram and Windows 32 bit Vista. I have updated all the drivers to the latest drivers and I have also made sure that PhysX is disabled.
The machine just came out of the factory so all the Dell software is still installed.
How can I manage to fix the stuttering problem?
I am also thinking about going over to Windows 7 seeing that it is free and supports 64-bit.
CW26FX - Anyone having trouble getting their video color settings to stick? I have adjusted my screen brightness/color/contrast via the NVidia Control Panel, but I periodically lose my settings. Initially there was a conflict with the VAIO Control Center - display settings there superseded whatever I did in the NVidia Control Panel. I eventually figured out how to get the NVidia Control Panel settings to stick by changing the display settings in the VAIO Control Center first - or at least I thought I did. It would work for a few reboots, but eventually I seemed to lose my settings again. So I uninstalled the VAIO Control Center hoping that would leave my NVidia Control Panel settings alone. But lo & behold I still periodically lose those settings (the NVidia Control Panel radio button "Other applications control color settings" is inexplicably selected.) Any ideas? (And yes, I hit "Apply" before closing out the NVidia Control Panel.)
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a zbook with a nvidia quadro 610m graphics. I cannot get the gpu to save settings or engage when playing games. It was working until I tried to give windows 8 a try.I did a fresh install of windows 8. Then I installed the hp drivers cd that came with workstation. Everything says it completed successfully and I've rebooted multiple times.
When I open the nvidia control panel, none of the settings I change stick. E.g. tell every program to use the 610m. I click apply it looks like it was successful. However, if I open the nvidia control panel again, all changes are reverted. I restarted after hitting apply too. It doesnt matter what the changes are, they all revert.
I'm guessing I screwed up with the driver install or something but IDK.The device manager says that the 610m is working properly and the driver is up do date.
I've installed win7 64bit sp1 operating system on my hp r033tx notebook pc.But the DTS audio control panel is n't showing even I've downloaded the driver software from HP official website for windows7 64bits os.

Recently I moved to windwos 8.1 from windwos 7 and i have hp pavilion dv6-6b19ej, before when i was using windwos7 beats audio was working perfectly and i was able to enable and disable them usnig (fn+b). After I upgraded to 8.1, I've downloaded the latest drivers form IDT i think oct-2013 but i still cant enable my beats, i have the UI for the beats control panel but i cant use the beats as a hardware fn+b is not working anymore!!!?

I want to upgrade the memory (RAM), but I don't see any access panels on the underside of the notebook that would make it easy to change the memory cards. I didn't find any diagrams or instructions in the user manual, and I haven't found any way videos on the internet. I'm pretty handy with computers and upgrading hardware, so I'm not afraid of taking things apart and putting them back together.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI have had my Pavilion dv8 for a few months now. A month or two after I received it, I began experiencing problems with the slider treble/bass control. It would sporadically pop up and start changing the treble or bass at random intervals. It also randomly disconnected me from my wireless connection. I thought this might just have something to do with the slider being dirty, but after several attempts of cleaning it, it still remains a problem. At first it was just a little annoying, fixed by clicking the mouse or pressing the top internet button, but now it's REALLY annoying, even popping up as I write this post. Is "slider thing" the right term?

My computer gets all current HP/Microsoft updates automatically.My volume control moves up and down automatically. I can choose mute and it will not stay muted. I have turned off my built-in microphone. I had to unistall my HP SmartMenu controls because the buttons wouldn't respond and the on-screen volume display would activate every time the windows volume control would move causing me not to be able to play any games. I have ran MSE and MalwareBytes and have not found any viruses or ad/spyware that is causing the trouble. I don't' know what to do..I really don't want to have to go through the process of windows re-install or game re-installing.
So I recently purchased this powerhouse of a machine and absolutely love it. I have one problem though and it is a really bothersome one to me because i really enjoy listening to m music and use my laptop as an audio source for my higher end audio components.
I have an envy 15t-j000 touchsmart that i purchased in late july and received in mid august with the beats audio option.
Ever since I first powered on the computer the audio would skip or fluctuate. I would notice the fluctuation when plugged into my stereo via the 3.5mm headphone jack. It would sound like the volume would lsightly fluctuate or maybe miss some of the lower end frequencies.
The more noticeable problem is the skipping. It will make a skipping noise that sounds as if the computer is bogged down with material, even when all that is being performed is playback. It sounds like frequency in the lines. This will occur at random times under various circumstances. It occurs when playing a music file as well as streaming music through spotify or pandora or playing a video on youtube. The skipping occurs in all those circumstances in both output to another source (headphones or speakers) as well as playing through the built in speakers.
Is it possible I am missing a driver? Is the sound card messed up? Is it just a problem with the computer? is there a fix that doesn't require me sending it back to hp?
