I have Windows 8 on my HP Pavilion dv6. I had Beats audio on it, but then my laptop was doing weird so i had to reset it to factory settings. After that, my laptop was back okay, but Beats audio was gone. My question is: how can i get Beats audio back on my laptop??

I downgraded from win 8 to win 7 with a clean install and although I have the sound workling I cant find the correct driver in other forum posts to get beats audio installed. Link to the correct download :

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I recently purchased this powerhouse of a machine and absolutely love it. I have one problem though and it is a really bothersome one to me because i really enjoy listening to m music and use my laptop as an audio source for my higher end audio components.
I have an envy 15t-j000 touchsmart that i purchased in late july and received in mid august with the beats audio option.
Ever since I first powered on the computer the audio would skip or fluctuate. I would notice the fluctuation when plugged into my stereo via the 3.5mm headphone jack. It would sound like the volume would lsightly fluctuate or maybe miss some of the lower end frequencies.
The more noticeable problem is the skipping. It will make a skipping noise that sounds as if the computer is bogged down with material, even when all that is being performed is playback. It sounds like frequency in the lines. This will occur at random times under various circumstances. It occurs when playing a music file as well as streaming music through spotify or pandora or playing a video on youtube. The skipping occurs in all those circumstances in both output to another source (headphones or speakers) as well as playing through the built in speakers.
Is it possible I am missing a driver? Is the sound card messed up? Is it just a problem with the computer? is there a fix that doesn't require me sending it back to hp?
I have an HP envy 6 1030-sq ultrabook, run windows 8.1 and my beats audio isn't working any more.

Deleted my beats audio eq.
I've re-installed audio drivers multiple times. Beats Audio never turns off. I can uncheck the box, and while the sound is less full, adjusting the sliders on the equalizers within Beats Audio effects the sound. Also, the sound is very compressed no matter what. Listening to a FLAC song file with headphones on my phone without equalizers and listening to it on my laptop with headphones, the difference is obvious. Why this would happen or how to turn it off.

After I upgraded to 8.1, I've downloaded the latest drivers form IDT i think oct-2013 but i still cant enable my beats, i have the UI for the beats control panel but i cant use the beats as a hardware fn+b is not working anymore!!!?

I want to upgrade the memory (RAM), but I don't see any access panels on the underside of the notebook that would make it easy to change the memory cards. I didn't find any diagrams or instructions in the user manual, and I haven't found any way videos on the internet. It happens with every song. I downloaded the new sound drivers but the problem is still there. I have no audio. It has been previously working, but suddenly stopped. On the small speaker icon there is a red cross indicating "No Audio Output Device is enabled" When I log on to the computer i get a window that says "CWindowsSystem32AUDIOSES.DLL is not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error."
