On my new HP 2760p the new Graphics Driver on HP drivers site won't install.I have driver Graphics Intel (R) HD Graphics version 9.17.10.2963 installed and would like to update to the newest version 15.28.13.64.2963. Have tried several times, re-downloaded the new version (sp61863.exe) but it goes part-way through installation and suddenly informs me that it now will install the 9.17.10.2963 version. It also keeps showing up as this version being the installed driver. Why can't I get the 15 .. version to install?

I cannot install a driver for Intel HD Graphics 4000 on my Inspiron 7520 / i7 (Windows 8 64bit).
I downloaded the driver (11/1/2012, 9.17.10.2843.A02) [URL] .....
But I get an error message: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.".
The same driver works fine on my second Inspiron 7520 / i5 (Windows 8 64bit).
Why I'm not able to install the driver? because of different processor? i7?
I am new commer here and this is my first post. I have recently purchased this nice laptop: Acer TravelMate P255, Intel Core i3-4010U (1.70GHz, 3MB), 15.6" FullHD (1920x1080) LED-backlit Anti-Glare, HD Cam, 4096MB 1600MHz DDR3L, 1TB HDD, DVD+/-RW, AMD Radeon R7 265 2GB, 802.11n, BT 4.0, Linux : NX.V9GEX.004
I would like to change it's preinstalled Linux with a Windows 7 version. But I don't know which exact versions of Windows 7 this particular model is compatible with, because I failed to install the AMD graphics adapter driver from the support DVD disk on a Windows 7 64bit. Do I miss something ? Need I, for example, make any changes in the BIOS ?
I have found same drivers to download, but none of them was successfull for my laptop.
I replaced hard drive with SSD and installed windows 7 ultimate (X64) on my HP Pavilion G4 notebook. However, I am not able to install switchable graphics on my laptop now.
I have tried this
1. Installed HPSA and ran update and tuneup. It asked me to update "AMD High-Definition Graphics Driver" but it failed with multiple retries and after some time now it doesnt ask to do this update at all. Now everything is green in HPSA but I am still not able to switch the graphics
2. Tried to download from HP drivers page but it says "AMD Catalyst Mobility cannot be downloaded due to incompatible harware/software on your computer"
3. Tried uninstalling the driver but windows updates the drivers automatically.
4. I also updated BIOS as suggested at [URL] ..... but still no luck......

How do I access the HDD on this thing? There is no HDD door like on most laptops. I add SSDs to everything I own. Spinning HDDs are too slow.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI had to do a recovery using F11 as my system would not boot up. It would constantly say it was restartin with he spinning ping pong balls but would not load. Why it crashed is moot at this point.
I run Windows 8.1 and am using a HP15-f039wm.
I saved my files as a backup before continuing with the recovery. As it stands now the thumb drive which has been copied to my desktop has a folder named "System Recovery Files". There is no .exe file that I can locate within.
Specifically my concerns are two:
1) I purchased a subscription to Avast and wonder if I can reinstll, not sure where my license key is but could probably contact Avast.
2) I downloaded Mozilla's Thunderbird and have emails and contacts from a variety of email accounts and one account in particular I no longer have access to.
The $64,000 question is: can I get these programs working again with what I saved?
Boot CDs and boot USB sticks that booted as expected on my old HP DV71135nr laptop are not booting on my month old HP 15-F039wm (Win8.1) laptop. I see that the BIOS is separated into legacy and UEFI sections but none of the settings I've tried will allow any external disk to boot. What configuration setting am I missing?

View 15 Replies View RelatedI'm not able to install the latest graphics driver from nvidia. It installs the latest GeForce Experience software but that says the 332.50 driver is up to date. The 337.88 driver is WHQL certified and lists compatibility with the 860m but when trying to install it, it says "This graphics driver could not find compatible graphics hardware." On nvidia's website, it says "Your product manufacturer requires you to download a driver for your device from their website" but it's 332.50 is pretty outdated at this point. Any way I can get the updated drivers installed?
View 9 Replies View RelatedDoing a clean install of Vista and keep getting prompted to locate and install driver for "Coprocessor". Have looked in device manager (yellow mark) but I just don't know what it is. Windows says it can't locate software for it.
Don't know what I am looking for on Acers site under drivers, installed all other stuff OK, Realtek, NVidia etc. Could it be a modem driver. Properties in device manager give no clues, it's listed as "other devices" along with the webcam which I have to sort drivers out for too.
I am trying to play gears of war and need the forceware 163.44 update. This is getting extremely frustrating. When I try downloading them from the Nvidia website or anywhere else it wont install.
I've been browsing through the Acer website to try and find the forceware updates to no avail
where the hell do you download forceware updates for the 5920G or for acers in general?
I'm an IT professional working on a client's HP Envy 15t-3200 notebook PC (Win 7 x64, Intel i7, AMD 7700 series)
He said (he thinks) after installing a recent windows update, it started blue screening on him with a graphics error.
He restored his PC to factory install, and it was working fine until he installed windows updates and the graphics drivers again, receiving the same blue screen graphics error.
I picked up his laptop. I installed a slipstream of windows 7 that I created. Everything worked fine - as soon as I installed his graphics drivers.
First, I had installed the AMD drivers (from AMD, not HP). I thought everything was working fine, until I checked the device manager and saw that the AMD graphics were being disabled, and the laptop was reverting to the generic graphics driver. I also tried the older driver offered on HPs support page.
I uninstalled the AMD graphics, and installed the Intel graphics. As soon as they were installed, upon restarting I received the same original blue screen error and had to result in booting to safe mode and performing system restore.
When I install the AMD graphics without installing Intel graphics, it reverts itself to Generic graphics. The AMD graphics adapter shows a Code 43 in the device manager, stating that the device has stopped working because it has reported problems.
I played around with different versions of AMD graphics which did not resolve the issue, and I installed different versions of the Intel graphics, which still caused a blue screen.
The PC is working ONLY with the generic graphics drivers, which doesn't work for what my client wants to be able to do (gaming).
I found this - [URL] ..... on the troubleshooting page for this notebook, and tried using this solution which also did not resolve the issue.
I've checked temperatures of the laptop and nothing is anywhere near overheating.
I'm thinking of updating the graphics driver on my M1530 from Dell's 176.44 version to the latest 185.20 version from Laptopvideo2go.
Wanted to ask a few questions before doing so, mainly:
Are there any problems when "waking up" from sleep with these drivers?Anyone got any benchmarks or comments on performance for these drivers? Mainly play COD4, Fallout3, Farcry 2...Notice any difference in temps.?
Anyone who has installed them i would appreciate your comments!
Should mention I'm running Vista SP1, 4GB RAM, T7250 and i usually overclock my card to 610/902.
post today....FWIW
View 5 Replies View RelatedDell is offering driver version 8.631.0.0000 (A09) for the mobility radeon 4570HD on their site.
I'm currently running modded catalyst 9.9 and the current driver installed is 8.632.1.2000.
Any reason I should use the Dell driver in this case or should I just keep on using the modded AMD one (which will probably be updated on a more regular basis)?
Currently using NVidia graphics version 7.15.10.9755 the only one listed on Acers site for the 9300 series running Vista.
While I was playing around with a clean install of Vista on a 9301 Microsoft updates installed (recommended/optional update) a new driver which turned out to be 7.15.11.6369
Anyone know anything about this version. It seemed to work really well, and had many features the earlier one doesn't. Is it a notebook driver ? I also couldn't find it anywhere to download.
When i put a DVD in no picture shows up- there is still audio and i can still click options but i cannot see what i am selecting. I also tried playing a youtube video which showed up as a green screen. Ive looked around and it says i need to update my graphics driver. I already looked on the acer website for a graphics driver download and i cannot find one.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI had to clean install Windows 7 due to a problem I created in the first place. Anyway, everything runs fine, except for the Radeon graphic card.
I own a HP Pavilion g6-1279sl Notebook. It's supposed to have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 and a AMD Radeon HD6470M.
I installed the last version of the Catalyst driver, and when I right click on the desktop, it says "switchable graphics", but if I click on that, it just shows me another option from the Catalyst, HydraGrid.
Using a tool that displays which graphic card is running, I noticed that even when I'm running games, the Intel Graphic Card is working, giving an overall worse performance than the Radeon should give. I mean, the Radeon is never working. I also tried to disable the Intel from Device Manager (I think it's called like this, I have an Italian laptop), and it gave problems due to the Radeon card not working properly.
The BIOS is updated and no option is there about Switchable Graphics.
Is there anything I can do to have back that feature?
I got myself a lovely little Precision M4400 on christmas eve. It was downgraded from Vista to XP from Dell. Since I have a specific way of setting up my systems, I spent a week in januray installing the OS from scratch.
Usually this isn't a problem, I have installed my own systems the past 15 years, and things have worked out pretty good so far. But there are some things about the M4400 that I simply don't understand, and I hope there are someone here that can guide me towards a solution.
The specs are: Dell Precision M4400, with 4Gb Ram, a Quadro FX 1700M graphics card, and a Intel WiFi Link 5300 AGN card. I am currently running 32bit Windows XP on it. I think those are the relevant specs for the things I'm fixing.
So, there are three main issues with the machine.
First, I haven't been able to find any official graphics driver for the machine! On the Dell site there are only drivers for Vista. If I select XP as the OS, I only see drivers for a 770M graphics card.
I got a forceware driver from Nvidia installed, but I get a lot of BSOD right now (sometimes from just resizing a Quicktime window!), so I could really need some help on this. That's the most critical issue .....
I have windows 7 ultimate 64 bit version. I have the windows 7 drivers (latest) for this but the windows rating for aero and gaming has gone down, which drivers are recommended for this card (1GB)?
View 6 Replies View RelatedAs I had been having a couple of minor problems with a temporary dim screen on startup and occasional screen flicker, I decided to upgrade the NVIDIA display driver on my 5920G.
Unfortunately I rather carelessly installed driver update 180.48 for a 8800 GS rather than the correct 178.24 for the 8600GT on my laptop.
It installed fully and the display still seems to be working OK (but screen flicker still there)
I am wondering whether or not it is OK to leave the 180.48 driver as it is or whether I should roll the driver upgrade back and then install 178.24.
To be honest I find installing drivers quite complicated and difficult so I would prefer to take no action unless the expert advice from members of this forum says it will cause me future problems.
Via MS windows update there is an update to Nvidia Quadro FX 770m graphics. I installed it, however the screen back light brightness got capped and would not go beyond 2 points (out of 5 points) and hence i had to revert back to original drivers.
