I am seriously considering buying DV2 with following configuration:
MD Athlon™ Neo Processor for Ultrathin Notebooks MV-404096MB DDR2 System Memory (1 Dimm)320GB (5400RPM) Hard Drive (SATA), SuperMulti 8x DVD+-R/RW DriveGenuine Windows Vista® Home Premium 64-bit with Service Pack 112.1" Diagonal WXGA High-Definition (8) HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800), ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 3410 Graphics
90% of my PC use would be internet browsing, photoshop elements editing and rarely watching some normal dvd movies.
Will this configuration be good enough for this, or I *must* consider dual core.
Im looking to get myself a smaller laptop to take around with me. I have at home a g50v right now and love it but it’s just too big to take with me everywhere. I like both of these laptops but can’t decide which one I like better. I see some were saying that they had a 30% coupon for the dv3t which would make it the same price or less as the dv2z.
While other HP models are getting sold with Windows 7, HP only has two dv2z models pre configured with Vista! I wanted one of these decked out with Win 7!
HP Pavilion dv2z Entertainment PC •• Espresso Black •• Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 1 (64-bit) •• AMD Turion(TM) Neo X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor for Ultrathin Notebooks L625 (1.6 GHz,1MB L2 Cache) •• 75% OFF!! 4GB DDR2 System Memory (1 Dimm) from 2GB DDR2 System Memory (1 Dimm) •• FREE Upgrade to 320GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection •• FREE Upgrade to 512MB ATI Radeon(TM) HD Premium Graphics 3410 - For L625 Processor and Vista Premium •• 12.1" diagonal WXGA High-Definition HP LED BrightView Widescreen Display (1280 x 800) •• Webcam Only.............
Just got a Hp Compaq 6535b, and i cant get photoshop to start on it. IT just freezes on start...Installing it took too long, and uninstalling it took waaaay to long.
reinstalled XP and again, same problem.
Could a conflict with some drivers produce this? anything reported on this issue around the net?
On the other hand, the hard drive, from day one, makes a clacking noise everytime it reads anything...is this normal? Could a bad HD be the cause of this photoshop problem?
my friend is thinking about purchasing a new laptop for his mother. The HP DM3 laptops look to the best solution so far since they are both lightweight and have great battery life, something he thinks she'll appreciate. One thing i'm not sure about is their ability to run Adobe Photoshop CS4 smoothly.
I don't use Photoshop very often and when I do, it's on my laptop, which is pretty decent in terms of specifications. Will the program run fine on a laptop with a Intel CULV or AMD Neo processor and integrated graphics? Which leads me to my next question:
Which Pavilion laptop would you recommend? Are they both similar to each other than the processors?
Crysis is an afterthought, so just the regular other games . I had a sager with
2gb ddr3 m 2.5 dual core and 8800 gtx, and ran all the other game almost greatly except far cry 2, which had a bit of frame rate, and crysis . But I could play both at high, far cry 2 without any frame rate, but crysis with a bit .
i have a hp dv5t with a 2 ghz intel T5800 and a Nvidia 9600 512 mb gpu. I was just wondering what good temperatures for this computer are, because im trying to be really cautious with this computer since my last one broke. Also is there anything I can do to reduce temperatures other than cooler? I have one but doesn't seem to do much. and by good temps i mean temps that might necessarily make the computer fry but i dont want to put undue stress on it either.
I was wondering what is the best place to buy Photoshop CS4 for Mac (price wise and such)? I don't need the entire CS4 Suite just photoshop and I am current college student so I get the discount. I was checking on Amazon last night and I can get the student edition for about $200, I could of swore I saw it for $150 a while back....
I was considering dropping down to Photoshop Elements but have grown up on the full version and am timid to drop to PSE...
I want to buy a notebook for everyday use and i`m gonna to take to the university so i need a notebook with at least 5 hours of battery life. I also want to have an opportunity to do heavy tasks like gaming, photoediting etc.
I`ve considered Macbook pro new 2010 line. The macbook pro 13 inch is perfect with its weight, battery life, design but.. performance with 320M card.. How is it ? I would be gratefull to the owners of new macbook pro for answering my question:
1) How is Mac OS for photoediting ex Photoshop CS4 ? Will 13" Macbook handle converting Raw photos to Jpg?
2) How is Mac OS in games ? How long does the battery holds when gaming om Mac OS?
3) How long does Windows 7 hold on one bat. charge with wi-fi and under gaming?
4) Will I be able to play on macbook pro 13" Gta4, Splinter Cell Conviction - on medium setting?
5) Am I to consider smth else for my needs like Acer 3820 ?
I've installed Photoshop CS4 11.0.1 on my Macbook Pro (15", 2.8Ghz, nVidia 9600M GT), but under Preferences>Performance, the GPU Settings section is greyed out with the message: "Graphics hardware acceleration is unavailable. You will need to upgrade your video driver and possibly your video card."
I have tried re-installing Photoshop, trashing preference files etc. But the problem still exists. I can't find anything on the web about the 9600M GT or the 9400M not being recognised by Phothop CS4, so what could be causing this?
iam planning on getting the macbookpro15 with the 3.0 processor with 4gb ram. my main goal is to use photoshop and finalcut express. my current system as a thinkpad x200t and the canon 7d files are taxing the system badly. do you think this is the way to go?
main question is: will i beable play mw2 in bootcamp? will it be playable?
I've had my covet for arround less than a month now and i've now got serious issues with photoshop cs4 and all the cs4 suite.. like selecting actionscript in flash cs4s actionscript panel.. (major lag)
It must be the graphics drivers, but i have installed all the varieties i have read about on this forum both from nvidia & laptovideo2go to no availe.. after opening a few psd's and trying to move layers around from one to the other (via the tabs etc..) it really starts to become unusable.. it feals like there is a graphics card memeory leak or something, also when i open the nvidia control panel to see what's going on the 3d logo start to stutter when i move my mouse over it continiously...
is anybody else having issue with cs4..?
covet, quadcore, 8gb ram, 3700m + 320 hd..
about to install another 320 hd and was happy to see that i don;t have to reinstall everything.... via (ludicrus speed)
How many of you enjoy using the 13.1" (1600x900) screen on the Vaio Z for Illustrator or Photoshop? Do you all plug it into larger monitors before using any of these or other Adobe Creative Suite applications? I do a lot of complex Illustrator work that requires attention to detail, but also some light Photoshop work. Other than that, my use of the laptop would be limited to MS Office, Firefox, and iTunes.
Further, would you prefer a 14.1" (1440x900) screen for Adobe CS work, without an external monitor? Does the extra inch and lower resolution make much of a difference?
At this point, this is the only thing keeping me from hitting the order button on either a somewhat expensive, yet powerful Z (plus an extra monitor, mouse, and keyboard), or a relatively cheaper, albeit less powerful Lenovo T400S (without an extra monitor or other accessories).
(The T400S's beautifully thin (0.83") profile is also rather attractive in comparison to the Z's bulkiness.)
I am considering a new notebook in a month or two. and the Macbook Pro is in my list. I am wondering if the GeForce 320M has been benchmarked, and if it's signifcantly better than the 9400M GT, and if it can handle StarCraft 2 and maybe some acceleration in FireWorks and Photoshop?
I have up-to date Windows 7 x64 SP1 ENG version of windows. The problem poped up 2 or 3 revisions of Nvidia driver ago with original version of Photoshop CC 2014. As you can see updating program and video card drivers to date, do nothing. And yes, i tried to launch PS with mouse context menu and forcing to use Nvidia chip. In control panel of video card PS is assosiated with Nvidia card too.
i bought teh WD 500gb Scorpio Blue. The first one I got made ticking noises when it was idle and the sound was louder than the stock 320 5400gig hd. About 4 days later I started getting beach balls when watching movies and then the next time when I booted up the screen would be stuck at the apple logo without any spinning wheel and then no apple logo eventually. So i called dell for an replacement, I got the replecement, and this one STILL makes the the ticking noises when its idle. Is this another failing hard drive or what? I have the March model, MCO266LL/A
I have M1710 (2.33 cpu, 512 7950 gtx,2 giga ram) and am having problems with it and dell cant fix it ,, so I think am going to get a replacement (M1730) so I want to know how good is it with games,, Like call of duty 4, ghost recon advanced war fighter 2, command and conquer, need of speed.
does it lag during the games casue I read a few things about that?
is the 8700 sli good?
whts the normal temp for the cpu and v.card?
I dont know the spcification for it but I think its going to be also 2 giga ram and I'll try to get the T7700 2.4 cpu or X7900 2.8 cpu with the AGEIA® PhysX<SMALL>TM</SMALL> Mobile Technology<SMALL>TM</SMALL> processing unit
I'll use windows Xp sp2 pro
is it going to be good as M1710 2.33 T7600 2 giga ram with 512mb 7950 GTX for games?
is the speakers better than the M1710 cause there is no subwoofer for M1730 ?
I currently have an XPS 1530 and I need a new laptop as I am giving this one to the wife. This laptop has been quite good to me. A couple of questions about the XPS 16.
The XPS 1530 is the perfect size for me. How much larger is the XPS 16? Is it Substantial? I don't want something similar to the 17 inch laptops that Dell has out there...they are just too large, Any insight would be appreciated.
I generally use the machine for heavy MS Office work...Web...and Photos. So, obviously the machine is more than adequate for this. My main question is which screen to get. I'd love to get the RGB, but will this be ok for what I am doing? Is the glare bad? Are there any drawbacks to the RGB?
I read on the net there is an issue with Dell product breaking down and bad customer service. Also can anyone tell me can I play Directx10 games with medium setting on this notebook. How fast it is?
I have two friends that have them and I like them. I really like the fact they have true HD screens. Although When I build it on Dell's site I dont get an option for HDMI. My one friend has an HDMI port on theirs.
Anyways are they any good?
I would get the 2.20 Core i3 version i think. 4gig ram. and I think the stock intel HD graphics.
