HP Compaq V3010us Lockups :: Hangs On Black Screen With Blue Square Asking For BIOS Password
Oct 19, 2014
I have a compaq v3010 us laptop that hangs on a black screen with a blue square asking me for a password and i do not know it. I need the bios password for it to get into the bios on it. The OS is windows 7. The hard drive is a seagate one ....
My compaq presario CQ71 notebook fires up, tells me it's loading window files then just hangs on a blue screen forever. I've tried every possible route via all F-key functions without any success, including factory re-set but still nothing.
I try to get on my laptop and a black screen pops up with a blue box asking for admin password or power on password. The passwords I entered will not work. Anyway to override it?
I have set a password on my laptop BIOS four years ago and i have forgotten it. i get no error codes to the effect of "system disabled". reset it if possible.
My HP Pavillion Notebook 17-e110dx has stopped working for no discernible reason. When I turn it on it says F1 system information and automatically goes to the F1 screen where it displays the sys info. It says press ESC to exit but that does nothing. In fact, no keys do anything. I tried to get to other screens when booting but it won't let me do anything. The laptop is only a few months old and I still have the basic 1-year warranty. Who should I contact to have HP repair it?
I have a compaq presario CQ61-420US with similar problems below, except I have a black screen, fan turns blinking lights are the same (num lock and cap lock) but they are flashing continuously every second or 2. I have tried the hard reset with the ram fix, connecting an external monitor, changing the battery, and the power adapter to no avail. I also used compressed air on the vents just in case was stuffed with dust since it will overheat and may cause problems, but nothing.
One option I can think of is purchasing a new MotherBoard, but I'm trying anything else before that.
My troubles are as follows: I started working on a presario v6130us laptop with a blue screen. The owner thought it was due to a virus when she opened a email. I went and wiped the HD and reinstalled windows XP pro. Had the darn thing working nicely.
Then I thought he computer was running a lil slow, so I decide to update the bios. From (I believe) v.07 to ver.29 from the hp website. At the restart, it never restarted, so I restarted it by pressing power button. Went into the same ol blue screen loop. The stop message is 0x0000007b. I looked that variable up on the microsoft webpage. It says it is a Win 2000 unmountable boot device. Prior to this message it was Stop 0x000000ED.
Does anyone know how to roll the bios back, or what could be causing this problem? I have done a quick HD test. so far it has passed and is now doing the "executing" test @ 20% complete. B4 the bios update, the test would say FAIL 1- 07.
i've frequantly had this problem , when i start my laptop ( hp pavilion 15n021se ) on the lock screen when i'm going to click to enter my password , just after moving mouse cruser i get the blue screen saying that the error is " invalid process attachment attempt "
i searched for this error and most results was meeting my thoughts that the cause for this error is the touch pad driver .
i've installed the latest version of the driver (sp64225) , and it doesn't suitable for my windows so i want a previous version of the driver
I forget the Bios password and I need to enter to the Bios menu to activate CD boot. My laptop bought in France - I'm french - is an HP Pavillon 15-n031sf Produt : E8P50EA#ABF The OS is Windows 8 64 bits. The code appeared is : 36360064
I have a ZBook 14 on which I have defined a password for the Guest User of the BIOS. Accidentally I lost this password and now I cannot access anything in the BIOS. Is there any way to reset the Guest User password?
