I bought a used HP envy x from amazon, windows 8. When it's delivered I tried to open it, there's only one user account, and it has a password... What should I do? I tried the password reset thing, but it didn't work?
View 4 RepliesI purchased a floor display model at Sam's club, HP Envy 17-j027cl, that had an administrator password, secondary Sam Account and Guest Account. The clerk was supposed to take the administrator password off, but apparently didn't.
How can I get the Administrator password removed so I can reset it? When I try to reset, it asks for a USB flash drive or disc which I have neither of.

I keep moving my finger on the touch pad but cant find it. I have to hold the power button down it will shut off then i have to pull out the battery start it up and the cursor is now there this has happened like 5 times already what would cause this?

Also, this laptop has no disc capabilities. Ive been told Ill have to open up the back of the computer, remove the 'watch' battery and RAM sticks while pressing power, then replace everything.
