I have a brand new HP Envy M7-K111DX. I set the password for getting in, but when I put in what I thought was the password, I'm told it is incorrect. I have tried many variations. I stupidly did not write it down but did have a good hint. Is there a way to reset the password?

He changed the user name to a fake email address so retreiving the password is impossible and would you believe he forgot the password. How do I do a reset? Also, this laptop has no disc capabilities. Ive been told Ill have to open up the back of the computer, remove the 'watch' battery and RAM sticks while pressing power, then replace everything. Sounds simple, but i know very little about computers, beyond basic user software.

I got automatic Windows up date last night. After the updates, I can't do anything except turn on the computer, see the HP page, the green log in with password page, then all goes dark blue and freezes.
