View 2 RepliesI am trying to connect bluetooth earphones to my HP-Pavilion-dv7-6b32us Notebook. I have two different models that I am trying to connect to my notebook: Nextware Sonic and Jarv earphones, both via bluetooth. I've tried "Add a Device" through the control panel, but the devices don't pair or show up. I can't find Bluetooth in the device manager. Are there any drivers I can download or software on the computer I can activate to solve this, or do I need to buy a bluetooth dongle?

I reinstalled hundreds of times the drivers for the card "intel duel band wireless AC 7260" but bluetooth still does not work! I tried to restore the initial configuration of windows but to no avail, bluetooth still does not exist!

The laptop is HP Pavilion G4 running Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit).
I just re-install my laptop from Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) to Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit). But i just realized that there's no 'HP Connection Manager', so i downloaded it from internet.
When i turned on the wifi from 'HP Connection Manager', it said "Wi-Fi (Wireless LAN) is Disabled by Device Manager".
What should i do then?
I had recently installed Windows 7 again on my Hard Drive and then i downloaded all the drivers for my Laptop from HP website. My Laptop pc is HP Pavilion DV6 -2155dx Entertainment. I have installed all the drivers but while installing Realtek Ethernert Controller Driver I found an error it was stating that " The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is Enabled Please Plug the Cable". And also while installing Atheros Drivers I found this error " The Device may not be present or could have been ejected / unplugged from the system.
Insert or Reinsert Now" I have also installed HP Wireless Assistant After installation and Rebooting The wireless assistant shows that wifi is disabled (orange light on the keyboard) but when i try to enable it, it doesnt turn blue but it states that Wireless Adapter is disabled by Device Manager. I also have checked the boot menu or bios and found that for wifi it was already enabled. In Device Manager i can find the device with yellow colored signal. I am not able to understand what exactly the error is as in Device manager it is showing the device and while installing the drivers it is showing it is ejected / unplugged".
I have an acer laptop e1-571 with windows 8. the mb failed ordered a new one installed it. on boot now i get no bootable device. The bios shows the hard drive and its the first in the boot order. If i hit f12 after powering on to access boot options the 3rd choice is efi device windows boot manager. If i select that it boots normally and runs fine. is their a way to boot the machine without having to hit f12 every time and selecting efi device to boot to windows? i tried updating the bios as well.

I just installed Windows 7 in my M6400, the standard configuration is:
- 410 Bluetooth + UWB
- Fingerprint
- Web Camera
I've installed already the drivers for:
- Intel Chipset
- Intel SATA
- FX3700 (from Dell for Vista x64)
I'm using the W540 with an ultradock and external monitors. After upgrading my W540 to win8.1 64 bit, device manager is showing an unknown device. I'm not quite sure what it is, but almost everything seems to be working fine and Lenovo solution center isn't finding any driver updates.
I did notice that the solution center hardware scan did not test the video card memory and listed that test as N/A. Video and monitors seem to be working fine though and both nvidia and intel graphics show up in device manager.
Device manager lists the device in question as follows:
Device instance path: ROOTSYSTEM001
Hardware Ids: rootiwdbus
Device stack: DriverPnPManager
I have just installed Windows 8.1 x64 on my Lenovo E330.
I downloaded drivers from the website, and installed all of them. But after that there's one device listed as Unknown in device manager, and I can't figure our which device it is.
Hardware ID is {48126E0D-4BDD-4D26-8A24-569C7AB522D6}SettingsDriver, so that doesn't identify the device.
Info from Solution Centre: Product: 3354AF7
How to identify what driver I missed to install
I have the DV9000 series Laptop. It is the DV9235NR model (but not the DV9200 series...shows DV9000 on the bottom).
Anyways...I decided to try to upgrade the interal wireless G with a wireless N card that is from HP. It has the HP part number and everything. When I put the card in, this error comes up. I read that the bios doesn't recongnize the card. I took the card out, booted up to Windows with my old wireless card, put the computer in sleep mode, took out the old card and put the new card in. Works perfect. I know the card it good.
How can I make the new card work without having to do this? I heard about a bios hack. How is this done? Could I modify the Wifi card also? I did update to the newest bios on my laptop (dated 2008) and that didn't work. How about a bios from another series laptop?
I got my new laptop today, and got rid of the installed Dell Crap and installed my Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
Now under my Device Manager I've got two issues:

I contacted Dell, they said they won't support my laptop since I don't have their operating system on it. All I want to know is what drivers I need. I can't believe they couldn't let me know.
I just bought a B590, model 20208, with, i3-3110m, 500GB HDD, GeForce 720M.I installed Win 7 64bits, but in Device Manager, before installing all the drivers appeared Other Devices an Unknown Device with thise details: code 28, Device type: Other devices; Location: on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Embedded Controllert . After installing drivers, the problem persists.Another problem was with PCI express but resolved with Intel Management Engine Interface drivers.Other problem resolved was with the GeForce 720 M videocard; wasn't recognized but resolved with the last driver from GeForce site. the last problem remained it's The Unknown Devices.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI own a Inspiron 3521, and about 6 months after I bought the system my Bluetooth stopped working, I search for devices, and the only device that shows up is my LGP-769 cell phone, and none of my Bluetooth headsets or other audio devices. However after pairing I cannot establish any kind of connection with the device. My Bluetooth icon still appears in the system tray but the settings will not open, even in the Device Manager the phone reads as a normal Bluetooth device. I've tried updating the drivers, but whenever I try to install a new driver it says that the OS is not compatible, even though it is for Windows 8 64-bit, and from the Dell website. I have searched every form and looked into every possible system setting, and no one seems to be having luck finding a solution to the issue, none of my previous Dell systems have done this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI own a HP Pavilion G series laptop and have windows 8.1 running on it. Windows just made me finish an update after which it is not detecing my battery anymore. At first, it said: "Plugged in but not charging". Hence, I shutdown the computer, removed the battery and plugged it back in. Now it just says: "No battery is detected".
I should mention that I am not using the original battery that came with the laptop. It is an extended battery which was working fine until the update.
Now, its switching the message between: "No battery is detected" and " Plugged in but not charging"
Just received my Thinkpad W520 4270 CTO with bluetooth installed. It was a DOS workstation that I installed Win 7 x64 Ultimate on and I finally got all the drivers installed but the bluetooth software says there is no BT device connected to my laptop. I checked the BIOS settings and confirmed the BT is enabled. I even disabled it, saved, then enabled it to toggle. Hitting the Fn+5 combo doesn't trigger the light or any "Found New Hardware." When the laptop first boots up the BT light flashes along with the wifi light and the HDD activity light. I haven't yet been able to load another OS, but I'm downloading Arch Linux and BackTrack 5 to test to see it's possibly an OS issue.
I realize the sticky about the "do not update the bluetooth drivers" but I'm not getting my bluetooth to work at all, not even being recognized by the OS as an "unknown device."
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-1107X Entertainment Series notebook. When I turn it on I get an inconsisent series of very loud short beeps nearly always in 3 groups. First group can be 4 to 6 beeps. Second group can be 1 or 2. Third group just goes on and on until the Windows Boot Manager pops up. Once I select the Vista operating system everything appears to start working as normal.
Here is what I have done:
1. Replaced motherboard and CPU
2. Checked and tested hard drive by diagnostic and in another machine - okay
3. Have used a known good hard drive in this machine - same symptoms, no change.
4. Checked and tested RAM stick in both slots, by diagnostic test and on another machine - okay
5. Did a Factory Default recovery - Operating System (OS) behaved erratically.
6. Did a Clean Install using another machine - OS works but same symptoms as above with beeps and Windows Boot Manager.
7. Installed all required drivers as required in Device Manager (after a LOT of problems trying to find the HP driver download support - I had to search for HP Compaq Pavilion dv6-1107AX to find a site that linked to the driver downloads).
8. Have run AVG anti virus, and 3 x anti spyware (Malwarebytes, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware). Nil bugs founds.
9. Reset BIOS to defaults.
Am also having problems from time to time access BIOS. It takes several attempts but can be gained by pressing F10 immediately after the first screen with ESC option on it. Also have problems access Safe Mode using F8 but perseverance is required and it will work eventually.
I have had this error for a long time now. Have used recovery manager and uninstalled - reinstalled - rebooted my laptop but still getting this error on HP Pavilion dv7-6b50ea.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an FW490, and noticed when looking at the device manager that under Portable Devices that there was a problem. There is a warning beside something called "R5C592". When I checked under properties it says Device type: Portable Device, Manufacturer: Ricoh, Location: on UMBus Enumerator.
Under device status it says: "Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)
Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available."
I checked for solutions and couldn't find anything. My PC seems to be running fine. Is it possible that it could be that I used a USB key that is causing this problem?
I have a dv6-7010us hp laptop and every time I try to use the webcam it says that no device is detected and I need to turn it on. I am pretty sure I have the latest software for youcam. I can not find the webcam anywhere in my programs or devices. I need turning it on and finding it?

I currently have an Acer Extensa 5620z-4801. About a month ago, I started using my laptop to burn DVDs. The DVD burner worked just fine for the first 2 DVDs. I used Ashampoo. After those 2 DVDs, it stopped working. I checked on My Computer, and the DVD drive wasn't there. At first I thought it was just temporary, so I restarted my laptop. But then after that, it's still not there, and I freaked out. I checked my device manager to find it, but it vanished from device manager also. I tried to google to find a solution, but doesn't help. I tried that regedit method, but I couldn't find neither upperfilter nor the lowerfilter or whatsoever. I tried removing prime and secondary IDE and reinstall, but doesn't help.
