Nov 21, 2014newtwork controller driver is not installed and wireless is not listed in hp 2000-2116tu".I need to do is list the hardware id's for the network controller. I have a yellow ! in front of the network controller and also two unknown devices listed below the network controller.

HP Pavilion Dv7-6187cl Networking :: Network Controller Driver Missing
Oct 10, 2014I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6187cl Notebook and my Network Controller has seemed to quit working. I have tried numerous solutions and none of them have worked. I recently did a factory image restore on my PC, but before I did the most recent restore, I did the same thing and tried to update the driver and it worked like a charm. This time, its not so easy.

Jul 30, 2014I have been downgrading my friends computer from Windows 8 to Windows 7 and used driver links from here and everything has worked great so far!! There is only one issue left. I have no driver for SM Bus Controller.
Everything else in device manager is good except for this.

Jun 15, 2009Have done a clean install of VISTA HP. Keep being prompted to install driver for "Mass storage controller". Device manager shows it with yellow exclamation mark. Windows cannot locate a driver. Looked on the Acer site but unsure what to install for this one.
Device manager just calls it "other device" Acer Aspire 9301awsmi.

May 22, 2014I have had to downgrade a client's CQ58 notebook from Windows 8 64 to Windows 7 64 at their request. The process has gone quite well and I have managed to find all the necessary drivers - except one, the SM Bus Controller driver, which I am having trouble sourcing. I think this is part of the AMD Catalyst package and I have downloaded and installed the recommended package from AMD's auto-detect and this has not resolved the issue. I have also tried an slight earlier version of these drivers and this too has left me with the same problem. Is it going to seriously affect my clients notebook if I cannot find a suitable driver?

Nov 1, 2014I used HP Support assistant to install my missing drivers ,it keeps failing one 2 drivers. One driver is the SM Bus controler,I understand it is SP55101. I tried to go to the support page and get it but to no avail. Tried several different time with assistant and fails every time. Also Validity sensor sp 55109, fails every time. When I plug in my cable from my iPhone 5 the software for the usb installs at times then it fails also ,very unstable....

Sep 21, 2014I had recently performed a clean install on my notebook PC and when I rebooted it, the drivers for the PCI device and the SM BUS Controller were missing. When I go to Device Manager and try to reinstall them or check for hardware changes, my computer is unable to install them. I was also missing my Ethernet and Wireless network drivers but I installed the appropriate drivers via the HP support website. However, I am still missing these two drivers. I have already tried to install the AMD chipset on my laptop but that just creates more problems because after the program asks me to reboot the computer it stays stuck at the Windows loading screen (rotating colours around the Windows logo).

May 27, 2014I have a HP Pavilion g6-1220sa notebook which has A8 AMD and running windows 7 64 bit.
I had to reinstall windows manually as trying to make the machine a dual boot with the win7 and ubuntu resulted in me messing the partitions up. I have managed to do so and been installing/updating all the drivers. But in the device manager, the SM Bus Controller still has a yellow excamation mark next to it.

The device status gives me an error code 39 and says that the driver is either missing or corrupted. The thing is, I can't uninstall the driver or even disable it. I haven't tried booting into linux to see if it works in there though...

My problem goes as following:One day I realised I cannot use my built in camera anymore. Tried reinstalling original preinstalled Cyberlink Youcam software, but as you can assume if that worked - I wouldn't be here. Then I tried troubleshooting according to HP guide. The problem is there is no category called "Imaging devices" at all.
I can place two bets on what could actually happen:
a) somehow I managed to delete basic HP webcam 101 driver.
The exact name of the device is: USBVID_05C8&PID_021E&MI_00
b) internal camera itself broke down (it's not unplugged cord issue - made sure myself)
I believe I could try installing basic separate driver for the camera, the problem is I cannot find one/cannot find reliable source. Could you send me/upload it for me?

Sep 29, 2014I have the HP Pavilion g6 2346 nr and I am missing the Ralnik bluetooth driver ,the last time I saw it in devices it was the 4.0 driver. I downloaded the driver from HP site an hour ago it was in a pkg (sp60071) I opened it and clicked on setup but all it did was install the device and not the driver. The instruction I read were to delete the old driver first which I did and that left me with no bluetooth in the devices column until I clicked setup in the pkg I previosly described.
BTW I can connect to the internet but this driver (bluetooth) is for my bluetooth devices ,cell etc .
