View 2 Replies View RelatedJust rebuilt new HP 355 G2 to Win 7 64 bit. The ONLY driver I can not locate or get to work is the PCI Encryption/Decryption Controller. I installed all latest drivers for this model/OS from both HP and AMD sites still no luck. AMD autodetect utility and Catalyst software installed all other drivers successfully except this one and when completes says all drivers, including chipset, are installed successfully and current.

I downgraded my operating system to windows 7 from Windows 8 on HP Pavilion 17-f012na and wireless network disapeared. Checked for latest drivers nothing available. Then manually looked at HP drivers and support section no drivers available either. What is solution is find correct driver. By the way bluetooth is working.

I bought HP pavilion dm1 4300ec with windows 8 preinstaled. I wiped up win 8 and install windows 7 proffesional 64 bit with SP1. After installation i manualy installed all drivers and everything works fine except my USB 3.0 port. Other two USBs (USB 2.0) on the right-hand side of computer work fine, but the on on left-hand side is just a useless hole. I have read a lot of similar threads and i installed a lot of drivers for different models but noone of them did work.
Since there are no a pack of drivers for win 7 for my laptop (because it is created for win 8) i am hopeless, which driver i have to install to get my USB 3.0 work. I really need that port and i really dont want to use windows 8.
I have been downgrading my friends computer from Windows 8 to Windows 7 and used driver links from here and everything has worked great so far!! There is only one issue left. I have no driver for SM Bus Controller.
Everything else in device manager is good except for this.
I was having issues with my drawing tablet so I uninstalled my USB Drivers and accidentally deleted the files along with the driver. When i restarted my computer I went to the HP site and downloaded and installed the USB 3.0 driver.
As you can see under other devices the USB Controller has an issue. None of the USB drivers are working now.

I have a HP Pavilion g6-1220sa notebook which has A8 AMD and running windows 7 64 bit.
I had to reinstall windows manually as trying to make the machine a dual boot with the win7 and ubuntu resulted in me messing the partitions up. I have managed to do so and been installing/updating all the drivers. But in the device manager, the SM Bus Controller still has a yellow excamation mark next to it.
I've had my HP Pavilion g6-2230sa Notebook PC for over a year now and just recently it has started to die without any warning when it gets to 30-40% battery. Before now, it used to notify me when it reached 11%, so I had time to save everything but this has stopped. I have tested the battery for calibration and it passed, I also completed all updates that it said it needed, I just don't know what to do next as I keep losing my work due to it switching off.

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6187cl Notebook and my Network Controller has seemed to quit working. I have tried numerous solutions and none of them have worked. I recently did a factory image restore on my PC, but before I did the most recent restore, I did the same thing and tried to update the driver and it worked like a charm. This time, its not so easy.

I can't seem to get the ethernet port working on a dv6700 I'm refurbishing. I've installed the drivers from the HP support website, as well as installing the chipset drivers. The device status gives me an error code 39 and says that the driver is either missing or corrupted. The thing is, I can't uninstall the driver or even disable it. I haven't tried booting into linux to see if it works in there though...
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have had to downgrade a client's CQ58 notebook from Windows 8 64 to Windows 7 64 at their request. The process has gone quite well and I have managed to find all the necessary drivers - except one, the SM Bus Controller driver, which I am having trouble sourcing. I think this is part of the AMD Catalyst package and I have downloaded and installed the recommended package from AMD's auto-detect and this has not resolved the issue. I have also tried an slight earlier version of these drivers and this too has left me with the same problem. Is it going to seriously affect my clients notebook if I cannot find a suitable driver?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI guess I have similar issues re drivers on win7 Home Premium 64bit. I recently did a clean install of the W7x64 (full retail) on my tt11wn/b (Core 2 Duo 1.2ghz, 4gb ram). Everything seems to be working fine, except for some driver problems:
- Light sensor doesn't work, even though it has been enabled in the vaio control center.
- Base System Device issue in the 'Device Manager', unrecognised device perhaps a card reader, but under 'SD host adapters' there is SDA standard compliant SD host controller recognised.
- Lastly, modem issues, recognised incorrectly - Globetrotter HSUPA Modem.
Have been surfing internet past few days for solutions, but didn't find any, also checked Sony Europen Support Portal for 64 bit drivers, which provides some but apparently not for the above. For me, the most important thing is get the light sensor working properly, otherwise I don't use the later 2 much anyway, but fixing them is good too.
