i have pavillion DM4-3002TX Beat Edition.
I just download and install the norton partition magic 8.0 demo from website... and suddently or accidentally my recovery partition been deleted. So I can't recovering my system anymore or disabled.
so how can i get the recovery partition back to my notebook??
I have a pavilion dv7-6b50ei notebook pc bought 2012. It always gives a command prompt pop up which doesn't stay long enough to read. I also felt there's a virus on it which my anti-virus couldn't solve so I tried factory resetting but when I restart and press F11 it gives an error(something like a boot.. is missing). so I tried my recovery discs. Disc 1 of 4 ran fine but disc 2 keeps stopping with an error.
Now the laptop doesn't load as I think the OS has been formatted during the recovery and don't know what to do. I feel disc 2 is bad too because it also gave an error while trying to copy it to a USB pen drive. I have also tried an external dvd and run the hp test on the hard drive; the hard drive passed the test. If I can get a new set of recovery discs, it would solve my problem.
I'm using hp pavilion dv6-6016tx.i have recover DVDs and all necessary drivers backed up.so can i delete my recovery partition. i'll be having the recovery DVDs all time with me and don't need HDD boot in case of formatting or recovery]?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have purchased a dv5178us Pavilion laptop 3 years ago and I feel it is time for memory upgrade. The manual and all the online memory stores say it only accepts 2 x 1GB memory modules.
I wonder if anyone have tested to install more memory, let's say 2 x 2GB modules, and if it works. I'm guessing that it may function based on some eMacs that used to work with more RAM that the manual informed.
Battery will no longer take a charge. I can use a different adaptor and I have the same problem. I can take the battery out and re-charge it in my Presario v5000 without any problem using same power brick. ergo no battery or power brick problems.
HP will only run on battery power. When power is plugged in green lite flashes and battery icon says it is charging, but it is not.
It will not run on AC.
I have got hp pavilion g6-2202tx with windows 8. Accidently recovery partition deleted .... but i have got its all files back. so now can i install windows from that files.

I purchased a new hard drive but to my surprise, all recovery disks or system image files are useless without the recovery partition on the drive. It appears that HP and Microsoft teamed up to not support hard drive failure. As you no longer get the original operating system on disk anymore, it looks like one is forced to purchase Windows again after hard drive failure.

I cannot get the computer to reconize anything doing with the ethernet, or the WiFi.
I tried F11 at bootup, and all I get is Computer is broken error code 0000225.
I have lost my HP partition, so I need to know if HP sells a disk that will give it back to me?
If all else fails I just use my tablet until I buy win8, or 8.1. Or I take it to a repair shop. I have been researching this for 2 days, have downloaded all drivers from HP for my computer, and it still doesn't recognize any device.

The computer has no problem connecting with a cable, but it says it can't find Wi-Fi. I would really love to avoid restarting and restoring the computer for a fifth time if I could. View 6 Replies View Related I will start out with my laptop's system information (and I am typing this on a cell phone)It is an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with product number - B3K21PA#ABG. Serial number is 2CE2201C96. I have a Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter according to my device manager. I have recently changed my ISP and the wireless router they have provided is the Linksys E1200 model.Now, on to the problem - after a prolonged internet use (skype call or playing internet games) my laptop just stops giving me access to the internet.
And I say it like that because the internet connection icon shows that I have network access and internet connection but none of my software or browsers are able to connect to the internet. I have tried updating the driver (both by checking driver updates and by downloading the drivers manually). I have also tried system restores and everything else I could think of, short of actually doing a factory reset on the entire thing. And I should also mention - although this issue has occurred several times now since I changed ISP (and yes, I called them about it too), this current time seems to be permanent since it has been hours and it is still not working.
I've seem to lost all ability to connect to or even find a wireless signal.
Normally after I log on the wireless indicator light on the F12 key goes from orange (off) to white (on) but for some reason its staying orange. At this time I get a message saying “wireless hardware cannot be detected”.
If I hit the F12 button to turn on the wireless signal I get a HP box that says – wireless is turned off “The wireless devices on your computer are turned off. To turn on the wireless devices, press the wireless button”. I do this and the message goes away but the wireless indicator light is still orange and I’m getting no signal.
It doesn’t appear that my wireless router is the problem as I can’t detect any signal from my neighbors or when I take my laptop to work, as I did before this issue popped up. I’ve ran my HP Support Assistant and Troubleshoot – Network and Internet Connectivity – HP network Check, but it doesn’t find any type of wireless device. The wired connection still works.
My machine is running Windows7 Home Premium.
I have installed windows 7, 64 bits, on a HP 15-d053sq laptop and the provided wireless drivers do not work. Where and if there are compatible drivers for windows 7?
View 3 Replies View RelatedA friend brought over her HP Pavilion dv6226us Laptop running VISTA. The hard drive was full and the machine could not be used for anything. Would like to wipe the dirve and start over, but need a VISTA recovery disk for the machine. The D: partition where the backup files from HP resides was removed from the drive so Recovery manager is not an option. Checked the HP support site and there are not recovery disks available for HP for this model laptop with VISTA, at least when I entered all the information on the site it did not list anything.
Is there anything that can be done by copying the correct files from the WINDOWS directory on the C drive.
I have a Windows 8 now 8.1 pavilion g6 laptop which hasn't been able to detect any wireless networks.
When i try to troubleshoot to find a problem it says that there is no problem.
The icon in the bottom right shows a monitor with a white cross in a red circle background and a what looks like a cable with a circular head at the top.
What I am currently using is the ethernet cable into the laptop which is connected to the router which is working normally.
I have a Pavilion dm4-2165dx with Windows 7 64 bit. I have not made any changes to the laptop or the network. All of a sudden today I could not connect to my home wireless connection eventhough all of the other machines in my house can still connect without a problem.
My wireless connection light is on and it is blue. I can still connect to the internet through wired ethernet into my router.

I just can't believe it, but i cannot install my wireless driver for my new HP Pavilion.Just bought it yesterday and clean installed win 7. Expecially the Wlan driver is missing in the drivers list from HP.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have been dealing with this for a while now, and it just happened out of no where. I turned on my computer one morning and it wouldnt allow me to connect to my wifi. I have tried EVERYTHING. My computer does allow me to connect an ethernet cord to it and the router and use the internet that way. I know it's not the router because I use the internet on my iPhone and tablet. When I attempt to connect to internet it has a red X where the wireless icon used to be, now the icon looks like a computer screen instead the the little bars. When I tap my wireless button on my key pad a message comes up and notifies me that i just turned my wireless connection off, but no matter if it's off or on that little button always has the orange light on. I can't figure out whats going on

View 9 Replies View RelatedAs said, my laptop's model number is dv6-6c13nr. My laptop's Windows 7 was FUBAR from a computer virus that my sister managed to get on it somehow. I just DBANed the entire hard drive and did a clean install of Windows 7. Everything was able install just fine except for the wireless adapter/driver.
I tried both the Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver and the Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter linked in my PC model's driver page. On both of them, whenever I click on the downloaded file, nothing happens after the file unpacks, no installers run. I've tried running it regularly and running it as an administrator, I've also tried running the installers directly from where they were unpacked into the C drive, regularly and as an administrator.
All of the other drivers and software on my PC model's driver page installed just fine aside from the wireless, it's the only thing, and the most important thing, that I can't seem to get to work. The version of Windows 7 that shipped with the PC was Windows 7 Home Premium, the version that I have and that I installed is Windows 7 Ultimate. Are the drivers not Ultimate compatible?
I've also considered installing earlier versions of the drivers, but I can't find legacy versions anywhere that doesn't look sketchy.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI was connected to the internet through my WiFi connection but suddenly the PC restarted after which Windows wasn't showing any wireless networks (see image 3). When I went inside PC settings, it displayed a message (see image 1) that there no wireless devices on this PC. Even in the taskbar instead of the WiFi icon, the LAN icon is displayed. And under PC Settings/Connection, only Ethernet and VPN options are displayed (no wireless connections).I do not know what went wrong. Is there some external switch to turn on the network adapter?

In image 1, now Bluetooth device is shown after auto install of an HP update, but no WiFi networks.
I have the HP Pavilion dv7-3079wm for a few years never had an issue till lately. the wireless button will not turn on. i have tried rebooting, updating and restore. If I connect with the ethernet cable it sometimes turns the wireless button on but does not stay on so I can not take it outside anymore.
