HP Pavilion Dv6-6113tx Networking :: Wireless Network Frequency 5GHz Not Detecting
Sep 28, 2014
My HP Pavilion dv6-6113tx Entertainment Notebook PC is not detecting 5GHz frequency signals. I tried to check my wireless network software update and that too is up to date. My colleague suggested me to attach an external dual band wireless dongal. Is that possible to replace the network card with a dual band one if this machine does not have that one. I am really annoyed with my laptop wifi. It is working with 2.4GHz wifi signal, but due to interference problem as stated by internet provider it is not working at good speed and speed fluctuates a lot.
I just purchased my first laptop and my first wireless router and have been setting them up.
Laptop: HP touchscreen Pavilion 15 notebook 15-n088ca with windows 8.1 (fully updated)
Router: D-Link Dual Band AC1000 2.5GHz & 5GHz bands DIR-810L
I set up the router and worked out the kinks and updated the software. My laptop finds and connects with the 2.5GHz Band anywhere in the house. My laptop does not even find or see the 5GHz Band. However my Galaxy Tablet finds both bands and can connect with both, thought the 5GHz seems weaker.
I noticed that my Galaxy Tablet finds a lot more wi fi networks than my laptop (that are in houses around the street). I believe my laptop should find the 5Ghz Band and be able to connect. So I'm hoping this is a software or driver issue, and just a setting that needs to be adjusted. I don't know much about Wi Fi drivers, but I"m a Vista survivor, so I should be able to solve this.
I don't even know what program runs the WiFi software on my laptop? Or where to find it?
I have had this problem a couple times, and each time I had to restart my entire computer and reinstall everything before I could connect again. The computer has no problem connecting with a cable, but it says it can't find Wi-Fi. I would really love to avoid restarting and restoring the computer for a fifth time if I could. I don't know the specifics of the computer, I think it might be a 14z Touch...
I have a Windows 8 now 8.1 pavilion g6 laptop which hasn't been able to detect any wireless networks.
When i try to troubleshoot to find a problem it says that there is no problem.
The icon in the bottom right shows a monitor with a white cross in a red circle background and a what looks like a cable with a circular head at the top.
What I am currently using is the ethernet cable into the laptop which is connected to the router which is working normally.
I just bought a HP Notebook PC 15-g013dx at Best Buy. They assured me it was 5Ghz wireless WiFi compatible. But only the 2.4 from the router shows up as an available connection.
My wife's old iPad can access the 5Ghz. I'm a tech dummy so I don't know if I have to download a driver or something? Or do I need some kind of adapter?
I am missing the network driver as well and have tried installing it many times but still no luck. I have an HP Pavilion DV7 - 2110sa Laptop running Windows Vista.
I'm trying to figure out which driver I need to install for a network adapter on a HP 2000-219DX Notebook. I saw the list of drivers for it, and got the Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter driver file from another PC. I'm not sure how to install this or if I should use another driver altogether. What do I do?
I had recently installed Windows 7 again on my Hard Drive and then i downloaded all the drivers for my Laptop from HP website. My Laptop pc is HP Pavilion DV6 -2155dx Entertainment. I have installed all the drivers but while installing Realtek Ethernert Controller Driver I found an error it was stating that " The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is Enabled Please Plug the Cable". And also while installing Atheros Drivers I found this error " The Device may not be present or could have been ejected / unplugged from the system.
Insert or Reinsert Now" I have also installed HP Wireless Assistant After installation and Rebooting The wireless assistant shows that wifi is disabled (orange light on the keyboard) but when i try to enable it, it doesnt turn blue but it states that Wireless Adapter is disabled by Device Manager. I also have checked the boot menu or bios and found that for wifi it was already enabled. In Device Manager i can find the device with yellow colored signal. I am not able to understand what exactly the error is as in Device manager it is showing the device and while installing the drivers it is showing it is ejected / unplugged".
I just received a dual band Time Warner Cable router that I want to wirelessly connect with my HP Pavilion dv6t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC that I had for 2 and a half years now. The laptop has no trouble seeing and connecting to the 2.4 Ghz band, but does not even see 5Ghz. I tried playing around with the router settings, but had no luck this far. I believe that it should be able to see it, but I'm not 100% sure. Whether I need to update my drivers or anything for it to be able to connect to 5G? Or perhaps purchase a new network card or adapter? Or am I out of luck connecting it to 5G?
My HP 15-g009AX Notebook have pblm with its wifi . I installed wireless button driver from HP website but it still has not detected my WiFi.I have installed win 8.1 and the lap was bought from flipkart. It is powered by and a8 apu, 4GB ram, 2GB radeon 8570 graphics... (I also have pblm with my graphics driver. It detects my graphics card as 8500).
i am using HP PAVILION 15-E015TX. i reset my windows 8 OS recently because of some corruption of data. after resetting the OS everything is reinstalled to its original state. But the Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is not detecting the wifi which is worked properly before resetting the OS. when i run the troubleshoot option under HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT it shows a red mark while resetting the adapter.
Recently I bought a HP 14 TouchSmart notebook pc and I used Window 7 32 bit for the OS the problem that I encountered is why I can`t install the wireless network i try diffrent installer of wife but still not working on this laptop any reason why?
I've just buyed this model of notebook and i can't install the driver for wireless and newtork. I've downloaded all the network drivers from HP website :
[URL]
I think that the wireless device ID is : pci ven_10ec&dev_8136&subsys_213b103c&rev_07
I installed windows 7 on my new Hp 450 g1, and everything works fine except the wifi. When i open the hp connection manager it says that wifi is disabled by Device Manager.
I tried all the drivers from hp's site and none of them work.
When i open the Device Manager it shows me that it has found under the name "Other Devices" the Network Controller but there is a little triangle on it and does not let me to install any driver that i found on hp website.
The wireless network controller isn't working and has a yellow ! in the device manager. Win7 has no idea what it is. No driver info is displayed and nothing is found when Update Driver is run.
It's definitely a software issue as I can get it working fine if I boot from a linux live CD.
Computer: hp 15-g020ca Driver page: Software & driver downloads HP 15-g020ca Notebook PC | HP® Support (There's nothing there for a wireless card.)
I have a HP ENVY TouchSmart M7-J010DX Laptop with Core i7 Haswell CPU and Intel Centrino Wireless N-2230 card. Product number is E0K83UAR and I'm running Windows 8.1 OS. Lately, I've experienced many occasions when the laptop fails to connect to a wireless network when other PCs in the same room connect. I should say it mostly connects, but with "limited connectivity" and no Internet access. I struggled during a week's vacation to connect and then had a problem connecting when I returned home, where I previously had no problems. And I'm having this problem on networks that previously were not a problem. I've read on this forum that many people are having similar problems. So, I'd like to upgrade the wireless/bluetooth card to something that is known to work more reliably. I assume I would have to stay in the Intel family. I saw one recommendation for an Intel AC 7260 card...
Here are the spec and drivers needed. I recently did a fresh install of Windows 7, system type :32 bit os Computer: HP 15-d009TU notebook product : F6D30PA#ACJ OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
I just purchased a HP laptop 13-c004TU (I think -- too small to read). It is seeing my home wireless internet and listing on available networks. I have typed in my security key, yet it is still saying that it cannot connect to that network. I have been on the phone with my ISP and they cannot see why it does not connect. Usually, in these cases, I would hard-cable it to the router, but the laptop does not have an appropriate connection port. Obviously, being new, it is Win 8.1 ..........
Realtek 2x2 11b/g/n wireless LAN M.2 adapter does not detect my home 5ghz network. Driver (version 2012.10.224.2014) is up to date. 2ghz band works fine. Could it be that 5ghz is not supported by this $2k laptop?
Wireless network is deactivated by hp connection manager after hibernating, sleep and sometimes when I use the computer. I can't see any preferences in HP Connection Manager to correct this, or in Windows power management.
What is the solution to keep the wireless network activated ALL THE TIME??
Uinstall of the HP Connection Manager doesn't work, then I can't activate the wireless network again!
My computer:HP ProBook 4530s (brand new) Windows 7 Pro (included with the computer)
No other power or wireless utilities installed, just HP utilities as installed from the factory.
I have an HP Pavilion dv7-6163us laptop and the network does not show up in the Network and Sharing Center. I have tried to reinstall the drivers for the RealTek PCIe GBE Family controller to no avail. I did update the driver for the Intel Centrino Wireless N-1000, so now the wireless light is blue instead of orange. Is the network card toast? I started it up this morning and no network, even plugged in ( cannot recognize that a network even exists on the laptop).
RealTek PCIe controller: VEN 10EC DEV 8168
Also getting a fatal error message from HP Connection Manger:
"A fatal error occurred, check the HP Connection Manager in Event Viewer for more details. A socket operation encountered a dead network".
