I have an Presario CQ57-383SQ and in device manager, network controller has no driver and i can`t find it and my WI-FI doesn't work it shows that is disabled from device manager i thins it is because of the network controller driver.
And one more....PCI device has no driver and I don't know where to find it.
I have a Compaq Presario CQ57 Laptop which has worked fine up until this morning as i cannot connect to the internet with wireless. I have re-started my laptop and checked the settings but i keep getting the same message telling me to turn the wireless on. The F12 is orange and remains orange and will not turn on or change colour.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a Notebook hp430 with Windows 7 64 bit ultimate. After having some sort of driver/virus that was freezing my computer, again i reinstalled my laptop with windows 7 64 bit ultimate .
Now it can't connect to the internet through wireless. I've tried all the basics: pressing the WIFI enable/disable toggle key on my keyboard, restarting my computer, enabling disabling the internet connection in the network area, etc.
Under Device Manager I see 4 devices related to the wireless internet:
1. Other devices >1> Network Controller
2>pci device
3> pci simple communications controller
4> Sm bus controller
- all the above devices have yellow warning sign next to it - the error is for having no drivers installed.
What should I do? How can I get my wireless internet to work again?
My Presario CQ57 (Windows 7 w/ AMD E-300 APU w/Radeon HD graphics) crashed and shut down the other night. Something to do with the display adapter, when I got it fired back up, my wifi wouldn't come on. When I push the wifi button (f12 key), it does nothing, and I can't find my wireless adapter listed in my Device Manager list.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Pavilion g7-1205ev laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I bought a new hard drive so I had to install Windows again. After the installation the laptop can't connect to the internet either by wifi either by Ethernet. After trying troubleshooting it says that windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.
At the device Manager I can see that there is an exclamation mark to these exact components:
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
BCM20702AO
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Can I download all these from somewhere ? And of course I will download them to another PC as my laptop doesn't go online at all. I also tried to run Ubuntu from a flash drive on my laptop and the Ubuntu uses the Internet just fine.
I've downgrade my pc from windows 8 to windows 7 professional 64 bit. I found all the drivers except the one which controls wifi. I need that driver so my pc can recognize the wireless card..

There was a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium- 64bit.
After searching around online, got a hint of what to do.
Made it to the Device Manager, these are missing or non existant (small yellow exclamation triangle):
Ethernet Controller (Hardware ID: PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_8136)
Network Controller (Hareware ID: PCI/VEN_14E4&DEV_4727)
PCI Device (Hareware ID: PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_5209)

Along with finding the proper downloads, I'm not sure in which order I should be installing them (if there is a specific order at all), and if I need to reboot every time I install something new.
I have a Windows 8 now 8.1 pavilion g6 laptop which hasn't been able to detect any wireless networks.
When i try to troubleshoot to find a problem it says that there is no problem.
The icon in the bottom right shows a monitor with a white cross in a red circle background and a what looks like a cable with a circular head at the top.
What I am currently using is the ethernet cable into the laptop which is connected to the router which is working normally.
I have a Compag Presario CQ57 with windows7, "it said that the profile couldn't be loaded," so the question is how do I get in my computer to open it up to work on this problem or resolve it or how do I over ride the guest side so that I can get in on that side I forgot the password I set up on that side. how to get into the other user side I forgot the login password for this guest side I set up.

I have tried wired via an ethernet cable and all is fine. I have tried updating the driver and backing out to the previously installed driver and neither resolves the issue.

The device messenger displays an issue with the Network Controller, which I suppose is the wireless connection.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI experienced missing several DLL-files, and often got error messages about those. I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, as I didn't want to mess with those DLLs missing.
After that re-installing, I couldn't get internet-connection to my router. Luckily I have a 10+ year old stationary, where I after some time found the driver I needed, so that works now.
But now it seems there's several other drivers missing/not been installed.

I have 4 USB-ports, but only one will work, the others don't respond, and I need all four running at the same time. Plus I'd like to have everything in order after I had to re-install Win 7.

I have an inspiron 1545, and recently a message that said "missing operating system" appeared when I booted it up. I tried pressing f8 and control+f11 but neither of those work. I have a compaq presario, product name "Presario C700" and p/n "FE934UA#ABA." The operating system is Windows Vista. I have internet from Comcast and the router I am using is Netgear. I recently moved to a new place and am having trouble connecting to the Wifi at home. I've had this laptop for several years now and have been able to connect to some wifi in the past, but there have been times when I haven't been able to connect to wifi in some public places. I am able to connect to the wifi on my phone and another laptop but not this one. I have tried resetting the router and numerous other steps but nothing seems to resolve the problem. Every time I try to connect, it says that the signal strength is excellent, but it is unable to identify the network and says that "the router is unavailable." I have already called my router company but they were not able to resolve the problem. The only way I can connect to the internet is using an ethernet cord.

I have tried few drivers and windows update but it doesn't seem to work for me.
I have had this problem a couple times, and each time I had to restart my entire computer and reinstall everything before I could connect again. The computer has no problem connecting with a cable, but it says it can't find Wi-Fi. I would really love to avoid restarting and restoring the computer for a fifth time if I could. I installed windows 7 on my new Hp 450 g1, and everything works fine except the wifi. When i open the hp connection manager it says that wifi is disabled by Device Manager.
I tried all the drivers from hp's site and none of them work.
When i open the Device Manager it shows me that it has found under the name "Other Devices" the Network Controller but there is a little triangle on it and does not let me to install any driver that i found on hp website.
