I bought my HP 15 a few days ago and since yesterday (after I restarted it) it can't find my network. Also, sometimes it finds all the surrounding networks, sometimes one or two, sometimes none of them, but it never shows mine.
All my other devices connect to the network just fine and also when I connect the laptop via Ethernet cable internet works normally. I tried reinstalling the adapter and driver, but nothing happens, the problem is still here.
I recently installed a new copy of Windows 7 on my laptop and my network adapter drivers are missing and I can't connect to the internet.
I'm using my other PC to searc for drivers and they don't work. I can't find any drivers for my laptop on the HP page for some reason.

I've received a used HP Pavilion G6 - 1C40CA.
There was a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium- 64bit.
After searching around online, got a hint of what to do.
Made it to the Device Manager, these are missing or non existant (small yellow exclamation triangle):

Along with finding the proper downloads, I'm not sure in which order I should be installing them (if there is a specific order at all), and if I need to reboot every time I install something new.
I'm trying to figure out which driver I need to install for a network adapter on a HP 2000-219DX Notebook. I saw the list of drivers for it, and got the Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter driver file from another PC. I'm not sure how to install this or if I should use another driver altogether. I keep losing WiFi connection. And yesterday I had to do a restore as WiFi completely disappeared from my computer. It just was no longer there. If happens again do I hv to restore again? What is the reason with losing/dropping WiFi connection.
I have an HP Envy 17-j053ea Notebook running Windows 8.1 64bit. It has an Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 network adapter. I am guessing from other posts that this adapter can't handle Windows 8.1 which is why I am continuously losing my wifi connection (other devices not running Windows 8.1 are fine). Is there an update or another driver? installing it and making it work on my notebook?

Is there a replaceable network card in the HP2000 Notebook? Almost every time I go to use it, I have to run the troubleshooter to reset the network adaptor. My signal srtength from the router is a full 5 bars, but the connection drops every few minutes, and then resets just fine. I LOOSE WHATEVER I'M WORKING ON.

Other devices do connect. If I change my router to 802.11g, but change no other settings at all, the HP doe connect. But if I flip the router back to 802.11n, the HP sees the network and correctly identifies it as an 802.11n network, but will not connect.The Router is a D-Link DIR-615 (N300 2.4ghz).

This is a new ProBook G1 450 which I am still doing basic setup on; I haven't even added my programs to it. I am setting up the preinstalled OS with the HP preinstalled programs. It does successfully connect to the internet via an ethernet cable, and I downloaded many Win 7 and HP updates that way. But it will not connect via a wireless network. It does not recognize that there are any Wifi signals in the area. My old Thinkpad and my tablet recognize a number of strong Wifs in the area, and connect easily to the one which I am authorized to use. The ProBook says there is no wireless in the area.
The ProBook's Wifi is apparently disabled. The wireless light is on (white), and when I click the appropriate icon, there is a message saying that Bluetooth is enabled, but Wifi is disabled. The light is supposed to turn on if either of Wifi or Bluetooth or both are turned on, so it is not a malfunction if it turns on when only one is enabled. But I have not tried Bluetooth yet.
Many other ProBook G1 450's apparently have a Ralink wireless device or certain other devices. Not mine. My ProBook apparently has an Intel Dual Bank Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth combo device. That's what Device Manager says. And this device might be excellent or perhaps even a nice improvement. However, unfortunately, Device Manager also says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)."
The HP support page for driver downloads for my ProBook does not have any driver for such an Intel wireless device. I didn't try the wireless until having installed many Win and HP updates. At the same time that I have noticed the wifi problem, I found that one HP update won't install: that was for Hotkey Support 5. Since then, I am having a little trouble with a couple of other updates. I mention this in case it is of some interest, but I don't see any connection between these updates and Wifi.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.
