HP Networking :: Pavilion G6 - Missing Ethernet / Network And PCI Device After Clean Install Of Windows 7 64bit
Jul 25, 2014
I've received a used HP Pavilion G6 - 1C40CA.Â
There was a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium- 64bit.
After searching around online, got a hint of what to do.
Made it to the Device Manager, these are missing or non existant (small yellow exclamation triangle):
Ethernet Controller (Hardware ID: PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_8136)
Network Controller (Hareware ID: PCI/VEN_14E4&DEV_4727)
PCI Device (Hareware ID: PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_5209)
SM Bus Controller (Hardware ID: PCI/VEN_1022&DEV_780B)
Â
Along with finding the proper downloads, I'm not sure in which order I should be installing them (if there is a specific order at all), and if I need to reboot every time I install something new.
I downgraded my operating system to windows 7 from Windows 8 on HP Pavilion 17-f012na and wireless network disapeared. Checked for latest drivers nothing available. Then manually looked at HP drivers and support section no drivers available either. What is solution is find correct driver. By the way bluetooth is working.
I changed my OS on my ProBook 6460b to Win7 x64 which previously was x32 Â Hardware IDs; Network Controller PCIVEN_8086&DEV_0085&SUBSYS_13118086&REV_34PCIVEN_8086&DEV_0085&SUBSYS_13118086PCIVEN_8086 &DEV_0085&CC_028000PCIVEN_8086&DEV_0085&CC_0280 Base System Device PCIVEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_161D103C&REV_30PCIVEN_197B&DEV_2392&SUBSYS_161D103CPCIVEN_197B &DEV_2392&CC_088000PCIVEN_197B&DEV_2392&CC_0880 Â I have tried few drivers and windows update but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Its not detecting. I was uinable to find the drivers on HP's official wensite .iIts only available for windows 8. Hard ware ID in Network controller : PCIVEN_1814&DEV_3290&SUBSYS_18EC103C&REV_00
I have a HP Pavilion dv7-6187cl Notebook and my Network Controller has seemed to quit working. I have tried numerous solutions and none of them have worked. I recently did a factory image restore on my PC, but before I did the most recent restore, I did the same thing and tried to update the driver and it worked like a charm. This time, its not so easy.Â

I had recently installed Windows 7 again on my Hard Drive and then i downloaded all the drivers for my Laptop from HP website. My Laptop pc is HP Pavilion DV6 -2155dx Entertainment. I have installed all the drivers but while installing Realtek Ethernert Controller Driver I found an error it was stating that " The Realtek Network Controller was not found. If Deep Sleep Mode is Enabled Please Plug the Cable". And also while installing Atheros Drivers I found this error " The Device may not be present or could have been ejected / unplugged from the system.
Insert or Reinsert Now" I have also installed HP Wireless Assistant After installation and Rebooting The wireless assistant shows that wifi is disabled (orange light on the keyboard) but when i try to enable it, it doesnt turn blue but it states that Wireless Adapter is disabled by Device Manager. I also have checked the boot menu or bios and found that for wifi it was already enabled. In Device Manager i can find the device with yellow colored signal. I am not able to understand what exactly the error is as in Device manager it is showing the device and while installing the drivers it is showing it is ejected / unplugged".Â
I've downgrade my pc from windows 8 to windows 7 professional 64 bit. I found all the drivers except the one which controls wifi. I need that driver so my pc can recognize the wireless card..
The model of my HP Pavillion is 15-b146sa and I'm using Windows 7 ultimate x64 (and I always did). The problem is that when I try to instal any driver, I do it, but a few seconds later it asks me to choose between two options. First one is: Reinstal, using recommended settings Second one is: This program installed correctly.  No matter what I choose, the driver is  not installed.  Network Controller Info PCIVEN_168C&DEV_0032&SUBSYS_1838103C&REV_01
I had recently performed a clean install on my notebook PC and when I rebooted it, the drivers for the PCI device and the SM BUS Controller were missing. When I go to Device Manager and try to reinstall them or check for hardware changes, my computer is unable to install them. I was also missing my Ethernet and Wireless network drivers but I installed the appropriate drivers via the HP support website. However, I am still missing these two drivers. I have already tried to install the AMD chipset on my laptop but that just creates more problems because after the program asks me to reboot the computer it stays stuck at the Windows loading screen (rotating colours around the Windows logo).
After a smooth clean installation of Windows 8.1 and loading all the Lenovo drivers, software, and apps, the system runs extremely well except in the Lenovo Settings Metro App, I no longer see the option of battery life protection (to charge only up to 50%). In addition, in the Windows power settings, there are only four power profiles: high performance, balances, power saver, and fly mode. Â I do have Lenovo Power Management Driver and Settings Dependency Packages installed. Â Lenovo's System Update does not show any missing installations.
I'm not able to install Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver. During Installation a message pops up saying, "The setup failed to install one or more drivers." I downloaded the latest version of the above software but still didn't work. I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit.
Wireless won't turn on; wired connection is fine. HP Wireless Asst says the wireless is turned of by the keyboard. Light is steady orange & will not turn on.
If I power down & remove the battery, I can get a blue light when I turn the PC back on. But then, the PC wants to update the driver. When it does that, the problem returns.
I recently installed windows 7 64 bit on my new HP pavilion p045tx  notebook but there are no drivers for the inbuilt broadcom wifi adapter which was working fine in windows 8.1 , so there is any way to get the drivers as it is not available on the product support page.  the wlan adapter is BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n.(according to windows 8.1 driver details)
HP Pavilion 15-n097sa Windows 8.1 64 bit  I have had this laptop for a few months now but have never really had to use WiFi - now I need WiFi I find the laptop will not connect to my router, it also displays no WiFi networks. I have opened Device Manager/Network Adapters and the wireless adapter is apparently up to date and working correctly. The adapter is a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n Wi Fi Adapter. The laptop is just a few paces away from the router so should easily receive the signal, my Android shows the router signal strength at 100% with a speed of 150Mbps. Why the laptop will not connect to WiFi ....
I have a Windows 8 now 8.1 pavilion g6 laptop which hasn't been able to detect any wireless networks. Â When i try to troubleshoot to find a problem it says that there is no problem. Â The icon in the bottom right shows a monitor with a white cross in a red circle background and a what looks like a cable with a circular head at the top. Â What I am currently using is the ethernet cable into the laptop which is connected to the router which is working normally.
When I connect ethernet cable to my Envy 15 j150us laptop the upper one of two led indicators which is link indicator never lights up, however second led that is activity indicator is blinking and internet connection works fine.
I refreshed my stupid windows 8 cause I was having some weird things pop up on the screen, so I refreshed the system. Now I can't connect to the Internet, and I'm missing all my emails, contacts, favorites, photos and who else knows what. I want answers to everything, but I guess I'll work on the Internet connection first. G72022 model - Radio model rt5390
When i bought my laptop it have windows 8 but i disliked it and have many bugs on my games so i installed windows 7 and complete delete everything in my harddisk. I couldn't find product keys anyway packet , laptop etc. Â My laptop is pavilion g6 2255eo
I recently installed a new copy of Windows 7 on my laptop and my network adapter drivers are missing and I can't connect to the internet. Â I'm using my other PC to searc for drivers and they don't work. I can't find any drivers for my laptop on the HP page for some reason. Â I have a HP-15-P151NR Laptop
SZ Series Windows 7 Clean install (32bit and 64bit)
Primarily for the SZ750, but works most other SZ models.
Yes, it's long, but it overs a lot and makes it very, very simple.
A Note about the "new" Sony utilities on their website. Don't bother, you end up with FAR less functionality than you will with this guide. Sony simply put up utilities that work with Windows7, they didn't check to see if there is a driver to allow them to work.

Status: 32bit 100% working – Use the Vista drivers and Utilities. 64bit 99.9-100% WWAN is possibly working (depends on the model, see below under “issues”)....................
I have an HP Pavilion dv5-1183cl that has been upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit)Â and I have some issues.I have four errors showing up in my device manager, three Base System Device and one Unknown Device, and I don't know what they are or where to get the drivers (since I don't know what they are). Additionally, the battery will not charge (there does not appear to be anything wrong with it physically). I am wondering if the below errors are related to the battery issue. Below are the hardware IDs for each error entry. I had to clean install Windows 7 due to a problem I created in the first place. Anyway, everything runs fine, except for the Radeon graphic card.Â
I own a HP Pavilion g6-1279sl Notebook. It's supposed to have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 and a AMD Radeon HD6470M.
I installed the last version of the Catalyst driver, and when I right click on the desktop, it says "switchable graphics", but if I click on that, it just shows me another option from the Catalyst, HydraGrid.Â
Using a tool that displays which graphic card is running, I noticed that even when I'm running games, the Intel Graphic Card is working, giving an overall worse performance than the Radeon should give. I mean, the Radeon is never working. I also tried to disable the Intel from Device Manager (I think it's called like this, I have an Italian laptop), and it gave problems due to the Radeon card not working properly.
The BIOS is updated and no option is there about Switchable Graphics.
Is there anything I can do to have back that feature?
I bought this PC last year and now i would to format it because i noticed some slowing downs during some operations (such has the switch on). My question is: can I install a "clean" win8 with the recovery image? How? I mean a O.S. free from Hp's customizations as if I bought it from Microsoft. If it isn't possible with the recovery image, is it possible in other way, keeping the license?
