I've received a used HP Pavilion G6 - 1C40CA.
There was a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium- 64bit.
After searching around online, got a hint of what to do.
Made it to the Device Manager, these are missing or non existant (small yellow exclamation triangle):
Ethernet Controller (Hardware ID: PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_8136)
Network Controller (Hareware ID: PCI/VEN_14E4&DEV_4727)
PCI Device (Hareware ID: PCI/VEN_10EC&DEV_5209)
SM Bus Controller (Hardware ID: PCI/VEN_1022&DEV_780B)
Along with finding the proper downloads, I'm not sure in which order I should be installing them (if there is a specific order at all), and if I need to reboot every time I install something new.
After the complete melt-down of the old WinXp, I installed Win7 - so far most of ti works. However, WLAN doesnt work. (P/N is PY869PA#ABG, it also says dv1303ap on the label)
Is there any driver for WLAN available? Witout WLAn or internet access the good old HP is pretty useless....
I have the Pavilion dm3-3010us Entertainment Notebook. I re-installed Windows 7 on it and now there are some hardware missing. When I go to Device Manager there is a section that says "other Devices" and under it are listed: Network Controller, PCI Simple Communications Controller, and Uknown Device. In front of all of those are yellow triangles with exclamation marks on them.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an HP Pavilion dv6000 and run Windows Visa Home Edition.I wanted to restore my laptop to its factory settings but the Recovery Manager wouldn't work. When I clicked on it it would just restart the computer without anything else happening. I then right clicked on the computer >manage> disk manager and made the recovery partition active. When I rebooted the computer it began showing:Bootmgr is missingPress Ctrl+Alt+DeleteWhich of course leads back to the same message after te computer reboots. I can't access F8 key. Only F10 (Bios) works. I don't have a recovery or installation CD as it didn't come with the laptop when I purchased it.Is there anyway I can change the active partition back to the C drive, this disabling the recovery partition? I read that it was possible to access disk manager from cmd prompt window, but I don't know how to access it since the F8 key won't work (makes just a bipping noise when pressed)?I am also out of the country so can't mail my laptop to HP to have it fixed.

My netowrk adapter went missing because of installing windows 7 Ultimate version .Previously my laptop came with windows 8 version.And now my drivers are missing .Same with USB ports. View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Pavilion dv7-6187cl Notebook and my Network Controller has seemed to quit working. I have tried numerous solutions and none of them have worked. I recently did a factory image restore on my PC, but before I did the most recent restore, I did the same thing and tried to update the driver and it worked like a charm. This time, its not so easy.

I have the HP Pavilion g6 2346 nr and I am missing the Ralnik bluetooth driver ,the last time I saw it in devices it was the 4.0 driver. I downloaded the driver from HP site an hour ago it was in a pkg (sp60071) I opened it and clicked on setup but all it did was install the device and not the driver. The instruction I read were to delete the old driver first which I did and that left me with no bluetooth in the devices column until I clicked setup in the pkg I previosly described.
BTW I can connect to the internet but this driver (bluetooth) is for my bluetooth devices ,cell etc .

There are some drivers missing.
There is a screen shot of device manager. There are no item id's with most of the hardware items with drivers missing as the ID's are not showing up.
I have an HP Pavilion dv5 2135dx and all of a sudden all of my icons and programs display as a blank internet explorer page and when I try to open them they show as a save as download .lnk file. I have been trying to run registry cleaner and spyware programs off of a USB because "Windows did not detect any networking hardware".

I bought a new Lenovo G510 laptop. I downloaded Windows 8.1 from Microsoft DreamSpark, and burned ISO image on a DVD disc. When I try to install it on my laptop, I receive an error (it might be wrong translated):
Load Driver
A media driver your computer needs is missing. This could be a DVD, USB, or Hard disk driver. If you have a CD, DVD, or USB flash drive with the driver on it, please insert it now.
Note: If the installation media for Windows in the DVD drive or on a USB drive, you can safely remove it for this step.
I already tried changing the following options in BIOS but no effect:
Configuration tab -> SATA Controller Mode from AHCI to Compatible
Boot tab -> Boot Mode from UEFI to Legacy Support
Boot tab -> Boot Priority from UEFI First to Legacy First
Also, I tried to insert CD with drivers which was in the box, but - of course - no appropiate drivers were found.
What happened? How am I supposed to install a Windows 8.1? What should I try?
I just got my brand new Y510P and realized that is unable to start Windows. Initially it displayed error "Windows could not parse or process unattend... [...unattend.xml] for pass [oobeSystem]..."
After reboot it start displaying another message - "Windows could not complete the installation... restart the installation".
The operation system is Windows 8.1.
Looks like I'm not the only person with this problem. System recovery doesn't work, obviously (as well as graceful Lenovo tech support).
I think that the problem caused by incorrect unattend.xml file which fails to install some unnesessary software and because of this error blocks Windows from finishing the installation.
I see no other way rather than install Windows from another source. I don't want to pay for another Windows license and rather send the laptop back to Lenovo, but maybe there is another way?
Few days ago, my laptop wasn't running well. I made a hard reset - remove everything and reinstall windows by using HP Support Assistant. It was done but when laptop reboot, a install windows message showed:
"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installation cannot proceed. To install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation."
So I press enter many times but it was that message. I have no time to waste. I use HP Pavilion Sleekbook 14-b013nr.
My notebook is hp pavilion 15-e014tx. whn I 1st used it i vedio adapter shows that its using amd radeon hd 8600 series. bt after a while its using the intel hd 400.....i upgrated many times amd driver bt every time it updates the intel driver why is that?
View 3 Replies View RelatedBasically I am trying to install a new Samsung SSD into a W530, however, I can not get the Bios or Windows instalation to see it (when you select what drive you want to install windows on).
I can externally attach the SSD to my other laptop and see the drive. I can create partitions, format them, etc. But none of that worked my original issue.
I have also updated to the latest BIOS version, tried turning off UEFI, no luck.
What I am missing here to get this SSD to show up?
I've just received my brand new Lenovo G510 and installed Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit onto it.Most of the drivers from the attached CD installed without any problems (though I was quite surprised that no newer versions were available on the Support wrbpage) but I can't install audio driver.Apparently this series is equipped in either Conexant or Realtek audio chips and the provided setup application is desigend to detect the correct chip and run the appropriate driver installation program.
The problem is that setup is not working for me. All I receive is the notification "This utility can not be used on this machine". Since there are no "orphan" audio devices in the Device Manager, I can't really tell which audio chipset is installed in my machine. I don't want to install both dirvers as it may just cause confilcts.How can I say which audio chipset is installed and install the correct driver?
I have hp pavilion dv6 laptop.I am trying to recover my whole system with the recovery discs i have created . But it stuck afetr windows logo on a blue screen with mouse pointer.

I recently got this laptop and wanted to upgrade to Windows 8.1 immediatly since it came with Windows 7. This was of course and option with the disc set that came with the laptop. Unfortunately i have encountered problems in the installation/recovery of Windows 8.1.
When the laptop is finished using the actual disc's (i say finished because it spits out disc 4 which is the last one) and is booting into the OS to do the last installing it "freezes" in the middle of "dowork.cmd". In the cmd window it tries to access a destination directory which it can't. Instead of writing it here, i'm just gonna link a picture of it:
I just don't understand why simple recovery discs would cause a failure... Googling the problem has only lead to this: URL....
Recently purchased a HP Pavilion 15-n248sa. It came with windows8, which I've done a fresh install to windows 7 (formatting HDD etc).
Managed to get some of the drivers for this from the HP or intel site. But there seems to be no source of two other drivers that are still to be installed. The USB 2.0 drivers (no usb ports will work). And also the ethernet drivers.
I'm VERY disappointed with the support HP has provided towards this laptop for windows 7, even though it's clearly stated it is ready to run it. Genuinely shocked that all the driver support on the page for this laptop includes only 1/3 of the required drivers for this system!
I've seen the solution of looking up the motherboard within the laptop, and then looking up drivers for laptops using that model, but I'm not quite to sure of where to look that up.
i bought an hp pavilion 15-n096sa notebook and i want to install windows 7 on it . the problem is that i cant find any windows 7 drivers for this notebook . Is it possible to install windows 7 on this notebook ? And if it is then where can i find the drivers that i need ?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a Lenovo Y410P that will not boot. The BIOS only sees to PXE boot. It does not attempt to boot from the Windows 8 installation disc, or from the hard drive that I reinstalled Windows on myself. I can boot to both of these on other computers, so I know they are not the problem. I'm thinking it's BIOS or motherboard related, but I'm not sure where to go from here.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI experienced missing several DLL-files, and often got error messages about those. I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, as I didn't want to mess with those DLLs missing.
After that re-installing, I couldn't get internet-connection to my router. Luckily I have a 10+ year old stationary, where I after some time found the driver I needed, so that works now.
But now it seems there's several other drivers missing/not been installed.

I have a windows 8.1 64 bit HP Pavilion G7 2270us. I have had nothing but trouble with the Bluetooth since the 8.1 update. I used to be able to reinstall the driver and get it working again, however lately nothing works. I have installed sp59632, 58515, 64041, 58944, and 64825 and none are working. My computer does not even show the option to turn the bluetooth on from the pc settings menu.
