I have a HP Probook 440 G1 laptop with Windows 7 Enterprise edition installed. I'm unable to find any drivers for the enterprise edition on the HP support page.

View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased a HP Pavilion 15-n248sa. It came with windows8, which I've done a fresh install to windows 7 (formatting HDD etc).
Managed to get some of the drivers for this from the HP or intel site. But there seems to be no source of two other drivers that are still to be installed. The USB 2.0 drivers (no usb ports will work). And also the ethernet drivers.
I'm VERY disappointed with the support HP has provided towards this laptop for windows 7, even though it's clearly stated it is ready to run it. Genuinely shocked that all the driver support on the page for this laptop includes only 1/3 of the required drivers for this system!
I've seen the solution of looking up the motherboard within the laptop, and then looking up drivers for laptops using that model, but I'm not quite to sure of where to look that up.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI experienced missing several DLL-files, and often got error messages about those. I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, as I didn't want to mess with those DLLs missing.
After that re-installing, I couldn't get internet-connection to my router. Luckily I have a 10+ year old stationary, where I after some time found the driver I needed, so that works now.
But now it seems there's several other drivers missing/not been installed.

I live in the Caribbean so its usually a little more expensive but over all I think it was a fair price.
But I really really love this laptop, the guy even put in a brand new western digital 320 GB HDD in it because this laptop was giving problems before so he decided to replace the HDD.
I am just concerned about the LCD lamp life and I hope this lappie lasts me another 3 years or more. I heard SONY quality in their laptop has depreciated.
Anyways the WEB CAM is not working because it needs drivers and when I use the short cut for screen brightness isn't working. I am not sure if its a fault with the laptop itself though. Because when I use shortcut for speaker mute with the fn key they work. All except the screen brightness.
I keep getting errors every time I try to install the windows vista drivers.
Also how do I recalibrate the battery for this? I think the battery is having issues charging and keeping a steady charge the estimation it gives is very out of alignment so to speak.
I'm currently thinking about installing windows 7 64bit instead of vista 32bit, which I am running atm.
Partly to get use of all 4gb and partly cause I've heard good stuff about windows 7, at least compared to vista, which is utter *beeep*.
My questions is now - where do I find compatible drivers for windows 7 64 bit.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI recently had my hard drive crash so I just replaced it. I used the Windows 7 64bit disk for my OS and loaded the missing drivers to get it functional. I am missing key HP programs for everything else ie: Beats, fingerprint scanner, top row keyboard controls (screen dimmer, volume). The only HP programs I could find are HP Security Assistant and HP Simple pass. Simple pass still says it cannot locate the scanner.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought a HP laptop - pavilion 17-f008sr Energy star (G7Y08EA). There was a Windows 8 operating system installed. To work on that laptop, I had installed a Windows 7 OS (64bit).
Than I started a system, I saw a problem with my USB in Device Manager (universal serial bus usb controller and Sm bus controller). As a result USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 didn't work. I spent a lot of time to find different drivers to try solve that problem, but I still have it. Intel usb drivers and and much similary drivers not working with my laptop or did not installing because I have not right system for much of drivers that I found.
I am having trouble with my wireless button, it remains red/orange despite touching it and restarting my laptop several times. My laptop is an HP Pavilion DV7=1135NR, it is originally installed with Windows Vista 64bit. However, i have it reformatted and change the OS to Windows7 Ultimate (32bit). And now i the wireless button wont turn blue. And also the wireless button located in the taskbar is no longer there.
Some additional background: The same problem (wireless wont turn blue) had been recurring before i had it reformatted but then i seek assistance then to HP customer assistant, and installed atheros. the problem had fixed for a while and the same problem would recur. However, i can turn it blue once i restart the laptop or when the "WLAN disabled" message would appear in the task bar and i would immediately touch the wireless button.
i tried downloading a driver from HP but still not working. right now i am connected via ethernet cable and its such an incovenience.

There is a screen shot of device manager. There are no item id's with most of the hardware items with drivers missing as the ID's are not showing up.
I had to re-install Windows after a hacker locked my system. I hadn't had the unit long, so didn't lose tons of important data or files. But, I hadn't had time to really get to know my system either....so now I have the new issue of trying to determine what all the hardware is that is not recognized. I thought I would come to hp.com, find my drivers, download and be DONE.

I have an HP Pavilion dv5-1183cl that has been upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 Ultimate (32bit) and I have some issues.I have four errors showing up in my device manager, three Base System Device and one Unknown Device, and I don't know what they are or where to get the drivers (since I don't know what they are). Additionally, the battery will not charge (there does not appear to be anything wrong with it physically). I am wondering if the below errors are related to the battery issue. I have a windows 8.1 64 bit HP Pavilion G7 2270us. I have had nothing but trouble with the Bluetooth since the 8.1 update. I used to be able to reinstall the driver and get it working again, however lately nothing works. I have installed sp59632, 58515, 64041, 58944, and 64825 and none are working. My computer does not even show the option to turn the bluetooth on from the pc settings menu.
