I'm missing drivers after downgrading to windows 7 (from 8.1). The drivers I need is:
- Bluetooth controller
-Ethernet controller
-Network controller
-PCI Device
-SM Bus Controller
-Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller

We have purchased an HP Pavilion G6 2300st to our parents with Windows 8 installed. Unfortunately, they are having diffuculties to use Windows 8. So I thought that we need to downgrade to the windows 7.
I tried to install Windows 7 last night and I wasn't be able to do so because of Legacy Support and UEFI etc.
After that, little search on the web and I think I will be able to install windows 7 now. However, when I was searching on the web I realized there are many people have the same problem includign drivers problems. Then I find out that G6 2300st does not have W7 drivers.
I found someone here downgrade the G6-2306el to W7 in link. [URL] ......
Now here is the question; Can I use the same drivers that stated in those posts?

View 7 Replies View RelatedRecently purchased a HP Pavilion 15-n248sa. It came with windows8, which I've done a fresh install to windows 7 (formatting HDD etc).
Managed to get some of the drivers for this from the HP or intel site. But there seems to be no source of two other drivers that are still to be installed. The USB 2.0 drivers (no usb ports will work). And also the ethernet drivers.
I'm VERY disappointed with the support HP has provided towards this laptop for windows 7, even though it's clearly stated it is ready to run it. Genuinely shocked that all the driver support on the page for this laptop includes only 1/3 of the required drivers for this system!
I've seen the solution of looking up the motherboard within the laptop, and then looking up drivers for laptops using that model, but I'm not quite to sure of where to look that up.
i bought an hp pavilion 15-n096sa notebook and i want to install windows 7 on it . the problem is that i cant find any windows 7 drivers for this notebook . Is it possible to install windows 7 on this notebook ? And if it is then where can i find the drivers that i need ?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI experienced missing several DLL-files, and often got error messages about those. I re-installed Windows 7 64 bit, as I didn't want to mess with those DLLs missing.
After that re-installing, I couldn't get internet-connection to my router. Luckily I have a 10+ year old stationary, where I after some time found the driver I needed, so that works now.
But now it seems there's several other drivers missing/not been installed.

I have 4 USB-ports, but only one will work, the others don't respond, and I need all four running at the same time. Plus I'd like to have everything in order after I had to re-install Win 7.

There are some drivers missing.
There is a screen shot of device manager. There are no item id's with most of the hardware items with drivers missing as the ID's are not showing up.
I had to re-install Windows after a hacker locked my system. I hadn't had the unit long, so didn't lose tons of important data or files. But, I hadn't had time to really get to know my system either....so now I have the new issue of trying to determine what all the hardware is that is not recognized. I thought I would come to hp.com, find my drivers, download and be DONE.

I downgraded to windows 7 and now my internet is not working neither are my fn keys in particularly the one that turns the wireless on and off is not working either. I looked at the bottom of my laptop and this is the model.

I understand that HP directly is not supporting this downgrade. I am not liking windows 8.1 so I want to go back to Windows 7. I have the base system installed and as I said I did find a few drivers but not all.
I read a subject about downgrading vista to XP here which is quite helpful and the bewlow link is the subject, but I think this sort of downgrade does not have a straightforward process to do it and get rid of all the frustration you will face, therefore; you always get a problem which is different from some one else.

I have followed the above link and managed to almost install winXP but not completely yet, I have managed to to install the SATA drive from a USB floppy disk just to enable me to go ahead installing the XP, but during the xp installation process it also asks for the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver which I have it and have all the necessary drivers, and this is where I have been stacked because I don't know how to instal this driver, because obviously it's not possible to use flopy disk to load this driver as it's more than a few MBs, I put it on a USB flash drive and it did not detect it, I even copied it into a blank disk and inserted it into the CD ROM, but still does not pull it and detects nothing, so I don't really know how to load this drive and the rest of the drives, because it does not give me any other options apart from F3=QUITE ENTER=CONTINUE.
I just bought a U330 Touch that comes with Windows 8.1 preinstalled. I have several programs that are not compatible with Windows 8.1 so I want to downgrade to Windows 7. They came with windows 7 Pro installed and I've used the Recovery Discs that came with the machines to upgrade them to 8.1.The Manager I've been getting them ready for now tells me that the specialised software they want to run does not support 8.1 - the machines need to be windows 7....
Can I do this downgrade with just the PC and the recovery discs (these are 8.1 only)? Would it need Windows 7 Pro installation media (I have this)?

There are some drivers missing. I have attempted to locate them but any that I thought were relevant have proved to be of no use (did not cure problem). There is a screen shot of device manager. I have is the wifi board which is a Broadcom BCM 94313 HMGB (this info. taken from the back of the computer). The device called 'BCM20702A0' is the wifi (I presume) as it disappears and reappears from the device manager screen when wifi button (F12) is toggled. Under General for all the devices it states : The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28).

my Dell laptop wont start up. I would turn it on and it would go to windows logo screen and then go black. I tried the system recovery and then it says insert the instalation media for the device and click ok to select the driver. I dont have a cd and all the drivers I use are not being recognized.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently had my hard drive crash so I just replaced it. I used the Windows 7 64bit disk for my OS and loaded the missing drivers to get it functional. I am missing key HP programs for everything else ie: Beats, fingerprint scanner, top row keyboard controls (screen dimmer, volume). The only HP programs I could find are HP Security Assistant and HP Simple pass. Simple pass still says it cannot locate the scanner.
