-Network Controller (same here haven't found the right one yet)
-PCI Simple Simple Communications Controller
-Universal Serial Bus Controller (USB) Controller ( tried a few here too)
Then I have two unknown devices still ; probably the camera and the fingerprint scanner.
I understand that HP directly is not supporting this downgrade. I am not liking windows 8.1 so I want to go back to Windows 7. I have the base system installed and as I said I did find a few drivers but not all.
I recently had my computer wiped and reloaded, due to a wifi connectivity problem. Now the wifi adapter is working, but my backlit keyboard no longer turns on.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWe have purchased an HP Pavilion G6 2300st to our parents with Windows 8 installed. Unfortunately, they are having diffuculties to use Windows 8. So I thought that we need to downgrade to the windows 7.
I tried to install Windows 7 last night and I wasn't be able to do so because of Legacy Support and UEFI etc.
After that, little search on the web and I think I will be able to install windows 7 now. However, when I was searching on the web I realized there are many people have the same problem includign drivers problems. Then I find out that G6 2300st does not have W7 drivers.

Now here is the question; Can I use the same drivers that stated in those posts?

I downgraded to windows 7 and now my internet is not working neither are my fn keys in particularly the one that turns the wireless on and off is not working either. I looked at the bottom of my laptop and this is the model.

So i need finding and getting these drivers on my computer and getting the internet back up but im very lost right now. When i try and find a driver I cant because there is no network adapter either....
I have a HP Envy 13 1150es Laptop and had to do a full Win7 (64bits) reinstall.
Forgot to do a backup of all the drivers before the reinstall and I once reinstalled Win7, I am now having problems with some drivers.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have HP Envy dv6 7200t laptop which I purchased directly from HP.
In the speifications I requested a special graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 630M with 2 GB dedicated ram.
I am using Windows 7 64 bit in English.
Now I didn't have much use for such a graphic card until today - I installed a game and it pointed out my graphic card sucks and the game won't run smoothly on it - it said my graphic card is Intel HD Graphics 4000.
I checked the device manager and found out 2 graphic drivers - for both of the listed graphic cards.
both of them are up-to-date (I made sure about the second one from nvidia control panel, and even reinstalled it just incase)
Assumptions:
I am not much of a hardware expert but I assume I do have 2 graphic card - internal on the motherboard (intel) and external (GeForce) - And if thats the case, somehow Windows chooses to use Intel instead of GeForce.
I also made sure of it by disabling the Intel HD Graphics 4000 from the Device Manager and my screen went black - I guess its safe to assume that indeed the intel driver is the one in use.
I read a subject about downgrading vista to XP here which is quite helpful and the bewlow link is the subject, but I think this sort of downgrade does not have a straightforward process to do it and get rid of all the frustration you will face, therefore; you always get a problem which is different from some one else.

I have followed the above link and managed to almost install winXP but not completely yet, I have managed to to install the SATA drive from a USB floppy disk just to enable me to go ahead installing the XP, but during the xp installation process it also asks for the Intel Matrix Storage Manager driver which I have it and have all the necessary drivers, and this is where I have been stacked because I don't know how to instal this driver, because obviously it's not possible to use flopy disk to load this driver as it's more than a few MBs, I put it on a USB flash drive and it did not detect it, I even copied it into a blank disk and inserted it into the CD ROM, but still does not pull it and detects nothing, so I don't really know how to load this drive and the rest of the drives, because it does not give me any other options apart from F3=QUITE ENTER=CONTINUE.

They came with windows 7 Pro installed and I've used the Recovery Discs that came with the machines to upgrade them to 8.1.The Manager I've been getting them ready for now tells me that the specialised software they want to run does not support 8.1 - the machines need to be windows 7....

My Laptop has developed a series of problems. When I am on IE9 I can not access any webpages via the search engine. Also I keep getting a Script error message when I try to print online. I have done complete scans etc and checked Internet Option settings to no avail. I have got to the point were I want to do a complete recovery. When I put the first disc in the computer opens up in the normal fashion. I have tried to download the updated BIOS driver, but I get to Download Manager, run the program, and nothing else happens.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince I bought the HP Envy 15, I have been having problems with the AMD display driver. I first switched to fixed graphics in the bios. When I'm using the AMD GPU, I get random crashes while playing some games (Only tested Minecraft which runs on Java). I have the latest 64Bit version of java, so that is not the cause of this problem. The crashes appear at random times with no error except the "AMD Display Driver crashed and successfully recovered" bubble popping up at the bottom right. When the Driver crashes, I have to restart all programs that use the GPU since they don't function properly unless I restart them. I previously discussed this problem with the HP Instant Support (Chat ID: 39947114) and I was told that the R & D of HP will be notified to release a Driver update soon. I do not know if the R & D were actually notified or if the driver is going to get an update.

I just updated my HP Envy 15t-3000 to Windows 8.1. The first thing I noticed is that all non-Windows programs (Chrome, Digsby, etc) are all gainy.The graphics card installed on my laptop is a ATI Radeon HD 7690M switchable with Intel HD Graphics 3000.
I had the latest HP drivers installed when I had Windows 8 (version 9.0.0.0 for both gpus). The auto driver detecter on the ATI did not work (incompatible hardware). The latest ATI beta drivers made it worse (largest resolution is 720p). Using Windows to update the drivers (both are above 9.0.0.0) caused a driver crash (exclimation mark next to the display adapter in Device Manager).Will HP release official Windows 8.1 drivers for this laptop?
When installing drivers previously after they had been extracted usually something would happen but when I installed the network driver nothing had happened. I've done things such as clicking the driver I downloaded and watch it extract again, restarted my notebook, deleting the drivier files and reinstalling but I still get the same outcome. Is there anything that can be done?

After I reinstalled, windows 7 wasn't able to download the drivers it self so i had to do it manually. So I did and now i got two problems.
#1:I can't install my wireless network driver. I tried installing the driver on the website but without result. I can see the network card in the device manager though, as a unknown device called network controller. I've tried removing it, but that didn't work either.
#2:I can't get my volume up/down buttons too work. That's the only two quick buttons that doesn't work. I got the audio beats button working too.I tried installing the media packages on the hp website after reading on a website that this could be the problem, but i wasn't able to install the packages. The pc just opens the setup files, but after extracting nothing happens.
