After doing a fresh install of windows 7 Professional 32Bit, my wifi drivers did not install, i have tried numerous drivers of the website for my laptop and they don't work, ive tried many things but cant seem to find the right drivers, my laptop is a HP Elitebook 2530p, can find the correct drivers for my wifi Card?

Partly to get use of all 4gb and partly cause I've heard good stuff about windows 7, at least compared to vista, which is utter *beeep*.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI bought my HP 15 a few days ago and since yesterday (after I restarted it) it can't find my network. Also, sometimes it finds all the surrounding networks, sometimes one or two, sometimes none of them, but it never shows mine.
All my other devices connect to the network just fine and also when I connect the laptop via Ethernet cable internet works normally. I tried reinstalling the adapter and driver, but nothing happens, the problem is still here.
I have a problem with my wifi. The button is always appearing orange, and nothing happens when I press it: no errors, no messages, no reaction at all. Therefore I cannot use wifi connection.
The laptop is kinda new: I am using it for only 2 months.

My windows crashed and I recovered it from the archive created a couple days prior to that. Archive included all hard drives data, so system was restored exactly as it was prior to the crash. I am still not sure if this caused the problem (or if the problem appeared after that): it happened a month ago, and I didn't have WiFi available back then, and only tried to turn it on a couple days ago.
Additional details:
In device manager wireless card is showing up as working normally. In adapter management wireless connection is turned on but says "no connection available". If I run the diagnostics, it asks me to turn on WIFI with a button on my laptop, which I cannot do. In mobility center it says "wireless connection is turned off". Turn on button is gray, and impossible to click on.
Things I already tried:
Reinstalled all HP drivers from the original CD;Removed WiFi card in windows device manager (deleted the device), restarted windows, installed new drivers for it, restarted again;Checked mobility center as was suggested in one of the threads found on this forum;Made a hard reset for HP laptop (removed battery, pressed on/off button for full minute).
I'm really impressed with this computer (HP EB 2530p) but read in the review that the fan tends to get loud and that it get's fairly hot.
Exactly how loud does the fan get? I'm a student and I dont want to sit in a room with 200 other students looking at me and my loud laptop hehe. Is it really noticable/annoying when under medium load (word/excel + youtube perhaps)?
Also regarding these temperatures, does it get uncomfortably hot should you sit with it in your lap for an hour or 2?
I'm not sure if I beef up all the "cons" because I'm so picky, but if I am, please tell me to wake up :-)
I can not find the driver ethernet and wi-fi for my pavilion g6, I remember that for before I formated the computer it was Realtek, but now as I install it doesn't work.

Today I got my HP EliteBook 2530p in "FU432EA" configuration. It was important for me to have an optical drive, so i chose the configuration with the 120 GB 1,8" HDD.
The 2530p looks great so far and performs pretty well... If there weren't the extremely annoying noises coming from the notebook.
The HDD with its 5400 rpm (it's a Samsung HS122JF, very slow btw, not really faster than 4200 rpm drives) makes a clearly audible, very high frequency noise and turns on/off every 30-60 seconds resulting in clicking sounds. I can live with that for the moment, because I'll upgrade to some SSD in the near future.
But the second annoyance is the fan inside the laptop. Even when idling in windows with temps below 50 C the fan turns on every few moments. Unfortunately I haven't been able to control the system fan or even read the actual speed. I tried Notebook Hardware Control, SpeedFan and HWMon, but neither of them reported me anything about the fan. I tried undervolting the CPU with RMClock (which doesn't really support the new Penryn CPUs) and got a few degrees less, but this wasn't enough to keep the fan quiet. In the BIOS there are no options regarding the fan, only some "keep fan always running on AC power", which I disabled.
i just bought G40-70 using Windows 7 (32bit) a week ago. the wifi was working fine and then suddenly it stop working at all. I am having trouble with my wireless button, it remains red/orange despite touching it and restarting my laptop several times. My laptop is an HP Pavilion DV7=1135NR, it is originally installed with Windows Vista 64bit. However, i have it reformatted and change the OS to Windows7 Ultimate (32bit). And now i the wireless button wont turn blue. And also the wireless button located in the taskbar is no longer there.
Some additional background: The same problem (wireless wont turn blue) had been recurring before i had it reformatted but then i seek assistance then to HP customer assistant, and installed atheros. the problem had fixed for a while and the same problem would recur. However, i can turn it blue once i restart the laptop or when the "WLAN disabled" message would appear in the task bar and i would immediately touch the wireless button.
i tried downloading a driver from HP but still not working. right now i am connected via ethernet cable and its such an incovenience.
I bought a used Sony Vaio Laptop today.
I live in the Caribbean so its usually a little more expensive but over all I think it was a fair price.
But I really really love this laptop, the guy even put in a brand new western digital 320 GB HDD in it because this laptop was giving problems before so he decided to replace the HDD.
I am just concerned about the LCD lamp life and I hope this lappie lasts me another 3 years or more. I heard SONY quality in their laptop has depreciated.
Anyways the WEB CAM is not working because it needs drivers and when I use the short cut for screen brightness isn't working. I am not sure if its a fault with the laptop itself though. Because when I use shortcut for speaker mute with the fn key they work. All except the screen brightness.
I keep getting errors every time I try to install the windows vista drivers.
Also how do I recalibrate the battery for this? I think the battery is having issues charging and keeping a steady charge the estimation it gives is very out of alignment so to speak.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI replaced the hard drive on my HP Pavilion DV6-6c35dx and did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The network drivers were the first I tried to install, but I was unable to activate the WIFI. I was able to successfully install the ethernet driver (Realtek Local Area Network (LAN) Driver), so I can get online.
None of the other network drivers listed for my laptop seem to have done anything: Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7; Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter; Atheros Bluetooth Driver. I cannot find any wireless devices in device manager, but the laptop definitely has the hardware because it worked flawlessly on my old hard drive.
The WIFI indicator light on the keyboard is orange, and nothing happens when I press it. It just occurred to me while typing this post that I should check in the BIOS, and I will check that right after I finish; There was nothing useful in the BIOS.
