My notebook is hp pavilion 15-e014tx. whn I 1st used it i vedio adapter shows that its using amd radeon hd 8600 series. bt after a while its using the intel hd 400.....i upgrated many times amd driver bt every time it updates the intel driver why is that?
View 3 RepliesI am running Win 8.1 x64 (up-to-date) on HP Pavilion 1322TX laptop. There are Intel HD Graphics 3000 and ATM Radeon HD 7450M two graphic cards as the device manager window. Recently I am getting blue screens and later message appear saying the ATM driver stopped working. I found many problems with this driver in the past as well. When I check the relevent page for my laptop model, there is no update since 2012..
Can I update these two drivers seperately by getting updates from Intel and AMD sites?
Is there any update for catalyst control system (CCC) ?
When I try to update through the CCC or HP Support Assist, it is always no updates..

I just recently installed windows 7(64bits) with windows 8.1 ( pre installed) now i am unable to install switchable graphics....
It take me hours to install intel graphics...and now my amd graphics are not detecting by the os .. My laptop is i5-n203tx ......

View 3 Replies View Relatedi recently purchased the above notebook and tried to play some games but i am getting error that my graphic card drivers are either not installed properly or they are missing altogether, i had installed drivers from AMD's autodetect driver tool. Earlier i had installed AMD drivers from windows update but the problem still exists. In the game i am getting memory insufficient error, unable to change graphics and display settings. Game crashes giving me error message as to update my AMD graphic drivers.

I tried changing settings through BIOS setup, but no such (Advance/Display)setting were available? I tried setting the app to high performance too through 'Configue Switchable Graphics' option but no success. which drivers i need to install or what i need to do to work my AMD Radeon Card.
So at first I was confused but now I understand. First official, completely top to bottom support for all mobility cards (in the specified range of course) will come out with 10.3. What they didn't say that SOME mobility cards will be already supported with 10.2 and our " Dell (Studio XPS 16 Mobility Radeon HD 4670)" is on that list.
This was posted in another thread, but this wasn't the focus. They also have beta 10.3s...but I thought it was neat that official 10.2 WHQL certified drivers supported our card ....

My problem goes as following:One day I realised I cannot use my built in camera anymore. Tried reinstalling original preinstalled Cyberlink Youcam software, but as you can assume if that worked - I wouldn't be here. Then I tried troubleshooting according to HP guide. The problem is there is no category called "Imaging devices" at all.
I can place two bets on what could actually happen:
a) somehow I managed to delete basic HP webcam 101 driver.
The exact name of the device is: USBVID_05C8&PID_021E&MI_00
b) internal camera itself broke down (it's not unplugged cord issue - made sure myself)
I believe I could try installing basic separate driver for the camera, the problem is I cannot find one/cannot find reliable source. Could you send me/upload it for me?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a G72 with the Radeon 5470 gpu. 2 days ago my wife received a bluescreen on Windows 7x64 stating that the video driver had stopped working. From that point on the G72 would not make it to the desktop without the screen going dead. The machine boots to safemode fine. I tried as much as I could think of to resolve this issue but eventually backed off her data and restored to factory. The problem persisted and I ended up disabling the ATI card in the control panel. The machine seemed to be working after that.
I begin the long process of brining the OS up to current. About 2 sets of updates after Win 7 SP1 the problem came back. I booted to safe mode and checked the driver and discovered that it had been re-enabled. I have tried disabling it again and rebooting. Sometimes it stays disabled thru reboot but sometimes it does not. At this point the machine will go to a dark screen (not just black video but dead) after I sign on. This was happening without regard to the enable or disable status on the ATI card.
So... I attempted to do another rehang of the OS and got about half way thru. Windows setup now tries to reboot and after the machine comes up, the screen goes dead. Is there a way to disable the card in bios? Can the card be physically removed?

how to change the screen resolution but, it won't stay at recommended resolution when I restart my laptop, it keeps going back too the smallest resolution. I have to go and change the resolution every time I turn it back on.

But, I couldnt find any info on the new ATI 5000 series notebook GPU's in the Indian context. So
The DELL Studio series now comes with the HD 5470, which according to tha GPU benchmark isn't good enough for gaming. (The studio 17 here still carries the 4670, but, the better 5650 in UK) .

I installed Windows 8 Enterprise 64-Bit Edition. I am facing is that I am not able to install the drivers for R5 M230 Graphics. I updated the BIOS, tried downloading latest drivers from AMD website too. Still, the system is just not recognising the hardware. It is showing up as Video Controller. But I am unable to install driver even after using driver update option.
I am using Lenovo G5070 and I installed the Graphic Drivers for Win7 but the main screen is very dim and its using the Intel VGA instead of the AMD Radeon display. I downloaded the latest drivers from the support site. How can I switch the main screen to AMD Radeon VGA
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got an ideapad y560 0646 with i7 and radeon 5730 without switchable graphics. After starting, the windows logo appears and afterwards just a black screen. No windows logon. Starting with standard vga drivers is possible. I am currently running windows 7 prof 64 bit. I remember that i installed windows 7 prof 32 bit in november 2011 and after installing the graphic drivers from lenovo homepage i faced the same issue.
So I continued using windows 7 64 bit. i think there was a windows update which caused the issues for windows 7 64 bit. I installed the latest drivers but this didnt work. i think this is no hardware issue because ubuntu is running fine. i would like to try the old drivers which came with the y560 on cd. unfortunately i cant find the cd.
Does some have the old driver cd and could upload the drivers or name the file of the driver so i can download it from the web?

Not the Volumn icon in the task bar, I lost the display that shows the volumn going up or down on the screen. The video support suggested installing Power Management but this did not work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the audio drivers, also did not work.
