After the complete melt-down of the old WinXp, I installed Win7 - so far most of ti works. However, WLAN doesnt work. (P/N is PY869PA#ABG, it also says dv1303ap on the label)
Is there any driver for WLAN available? Witout WLAn or internet access the good old HP is pretty useless....
so basically I reinstalled windows 7 Home Premium x64 Operating System and it seems that some drivers are missing. I bought a new hard disk and 4 G of ram..I installed them and the laptop is HP Pavilion dv6-2137sl , Intel Core i5 CPU m430 , 2.27 GHz with 6 G of ram now.When I looked at the Device Manager. I saw at Other devices : Base System Device Base System Device Base System Device Network Controller Unknown device Unknown device. All have yellow triangle. I tried to install a driver, the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Driver but after the installation it gives me the next message : The Realtek Network Controller was not found.If Deep Sleep Mode is enabled Please Plug the Cable.

If I power down & remove the battery, I can get a blue light when I turn the PC back on. But then, the PC wants to update the driver. When it does that, the problem returns.
I recently installed windows 7 64 bit on my new HP pavilion p045tx notebook but there are no drivers for the inbuilt broadcom wifi adapter which was working fine in windows 8.1 , so there is any way to get the drivers as it is not available on the product support page.
the wlan adapter is BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n.(according to windows 8.1 driver details)
I just bought "HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC p000su-j2t31ea", installed windows 8.1, downloaded drivers and it seems like it works perfectly but wifi.
When I tried to install this Broadcom WLAN driver [URL]... its loading like on the half way on its instalation and drops then a message appears and asks me if the program worked well.
Ive tried to install that driver under Safe Mode and it loaded the installation, but when it was installing some error came out saying that the installation cant continue, because update.cpp 1205 is not found or something.I also tried to find the driver from broadcom's site, but couldnt find it. And now i can use e-net only via cable.
I have had the HP 620 laptop for about a year now , Recently upgraded it to windows 8 . So... as soon as i open my laptop , everything is fine and the wifi works and everything is basically normal , but when i use the laptop for like 10 min , the wifi randomly shuts off and tells me that i need to connect via an Ethernet cable, and when i do connect to ethernet cable it works . I am on windows 8.

I am running Windows 8.0 (64bit) and my wifi is not working properly on Battery mode. On AC Adapter, it works 100% perfect but in battery mode, it always goes to Limited Connectivity. Repaired it but 25seconds later it gets the same problem. Limited Connectivity every single time. It's an endless cycle. Warranty has expired and I am not happy with it.
Even if repaired, cannot open any website. Full 5 wifi bars but still the same result. Tried manually (TCP/IP Settings IPv4) but didnt work at all.
My wifi driver is Intel Centrino Wireless N 2230 ( 15.12.0.6 version updated from intel.com website).

I recently had to open up my HP G7 laptop to blow the dust of my fan and under the keyboard. When I put they keyboard back together, my wifi didn't work. I'm now on a ethernet connection. Opening network connection, there's no wifi adapter icon. I've tried installing the driver, but mid install I get this message "The driver files you wish to remove will not be removed as the corresponding card is not installed". I don't know what this means, but when I finish the install, the wireless connection is still not shown in network connections, and the driver doesnt show on device manager. What else can I try?

I have an Presario CQ57-383SQ and in device manager, network controller has no driver and i can`t find it and my WI-FI doesn't work it shows that is disabled from device manager i thins it is because of the network controller driver.
And one more....PCI device has no driver and I don't know where to find it.

I updated my laptop from Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit 2 weeks ago. Since then, I can't use the alt buttons, both on the left and right. Some information on internet said that there might be some dusts under the buttons, and I've tried to clean it, but the problem still occur.

I formatted the harddrive and loaded Windows Vista Business 64 bit. I downloaded and installed all drivers that were recommended by HP but my Sound and Audio doesn't work. Neither does my Mass Storage Controller nor my PCI Modem. All were working with the WIN XP.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThe laptop is a Pavilion G7 with Windows 7 64-bit. The machine was given to me under the premise of "Internet does not work". The wireless properties and LAN settings say that the laptop is connected and has Internet access. I can ping outside addresses from the machine, and can ping the machine from other devices. It also pulls a valid ip address according to an ipconfig. However, when you try to pull up a website, it gives a "website cannot be found" page. This happens on IE, Firefox, and Chrome. All chipset drivers, ethernet drivers, and wireless drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled. They are the newest drivers available from HP's website. I have even replaced the wireless NIC thinking it may just be a bad card. I've checked the IPv4 settings and all is set right. Thinking of possible DNS issues I tried using straight IP addresses to connect to webpages but all to no avail. Are there BIOS issues that would affect this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedPavilion p7-1108p, running Windows 8.1. Wi-Fi adapter keeps disengaging sporadically and for no apparent reason. I open the Network and Sharing Center, and under Active Networks I click on Connections and then on Diagnose. It resets the adapter and all is well. I have two other computers and a tablet on this network, and none of them have this issue. Do I have a hardware issue?
Further info: when I use the TroubleShooting tool to diagnose and reset the Network Adapter, I get 1 of 2 messages. It's either,
"WiFi doesn't have a valid IP configuration <fixed>",
or a two-part message,
" The connection between your access point, router, or cable model and the Internet is broken.<disregarded>” ;
" The default gateway is not available <fixed>"

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have an HP DV6226US and I recently updated the BIOS to the F.2D version (from what I remember as F.14, and that BIOS version F.14 is not listed under the previous versions in the download section). I am running vista 32 os. F.2D is the version that is given for my model of computer on the HP software and drivers site. When I ran the updater, I remember it saying it checked compatibility before the BIOS flash and that it was the correct one. I do however have a T2250 intel processor rather than a T2060, which was the processor that my laptop was supposed to come with and I don't know if that would have any effect on which BIOS update I truly need.
Here is my question....
Before the flash the fan used to run constantly with obvious varying degrees of RPM's. After the flash, the fan doesn't seem to come on at all. It turned on once when I restarted the computer (right before it started loading vista). Other than that, I can't here a thing. However, I have used HD Tune and a very simple CPU monitor to see what kind of temps the internals are running at. My HDD (WD scorpion black 7200rpm 320GB) is running at constant 46c to 47c. Well within the manufactures specs, even under scans of the 200+gb loaded onto it. The CPU cores seem to be well within manufactures specs as well. Is this change in fan behavior due to the BIOS update, and if I should be concerned about the seemingly lack of fan activity. I use this laptop for DJ and Karaoke at 4 to 5 hour intervals about 5 days a week, and require that it not overheat.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to find out why my HP Pavilion dv1000 is randomly shutting down when I'm working on it...and when it does, sometimes I can't turn it back on without first popping the battery out and then putting it back in...
When it fails to re-start, I press the power button and all the little blue lights just flash for a second, and I hear this chirpy sound from inside the laptop...
So what I did was setup some logs with XP's Administrative Tools - Performance, to monitor the processor, memory, cache, etc, and then I will look at them to see what happens just before it shuts down.
I am no pro at this so this method is very experimental, I just started doing that this morning.
So does anyone know of this kind of problems? I read it might be a RAM problem,
it is not the battery, as it happens even with the battery out, just on AC power.
Does someone know of a diagnosing utility I might use, that would pinpoint just what happens before it shuts off?

The Wi-Fi adapter Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 worked on windows 7, but fails on windows 8.1. Tried to find the driver on the broadcom but not found. Device Manager indicates only problem with a PCI device. Problems with the Wi-Fi adapter does not specify.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Pavilion g7-1205ev laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I bought a new hard drive so I had to install Windows again. After the installation the laptop can't connect to the internet either by wifi either by Ethernet. After trying troubleshooting it says that windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.
At the device Manager I can see that there is an exclamation mark to these exact components:
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter

Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Can I download all these from somewhere ? And of course I will download them to another PC as my laptop doesn't go online at all. I also tried to run Ubuntu from a flash drive on my laptop and the Ubuntu uses the Internet just fine.
I have an HP 255 G2 Notebook PC with the product number F0Z56EA, running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
I installed the OS and the drivers for the laptop just a few days ago. Everything is running fine, except that the WLAN option is not displayed anywhere and I cannot connect the laptop to my wifi.
When I open the device manager, it shows "other devices" with a question mark and underneath "Network Controller" with a yellow exclamation mark.
I tried installing the Qualcomm network driver for my model, but during installation, the message "Device cannot be found, installation terminated" is being shown.
A friend gave me his dv1000/ dv1515cl to fix, I believe it's the mobo but not sure .when I plug in ac adapter wont boot but light shows batt. charging .If I unplug ac, remove batt. then I reinstall batt. all tights come on but when I open laptop it shuts off.
