HP Envy Dv6 Networking :: WiFi Doesn't Work Properly On Battery
Nov 10, 2013I am running Windows 8.0 (64bit) and my wifi is not working properly on Battery mode. On AC Adapter, it works 100% perfect but in battery mode, it always goes to Limited Connectivity. Repaired it but 25seconds later it gets the same problem. Limited Connectivity every single time. It's an endless cycle. Warranty has expired and I am not happy with it.
Even if repaired, cannot open any website. Full 5 wifi bars but still the same result. Tried manually (TCP/IP Settings IPv4) but didnt work at all.
My wifi driver is Intel Centrino Wireless N 2230 ( 15.12.0.6 version updated from intel.com website).

Tried everything that I could possibly think off such as disabling Norton Firewall & Running windows firewall but still the same problem.

Dec 8, 2014I have HP pavilion g6 , win 7 64 bit. Amd Radeon HD 7400M series and Intel HD graphics.My problem started when my screen was getting black for seconds alot and when it comes back it said amd stopped so I decided to update the driver. First I downloaded the supported driver from the site URL.... but every time I try installing it the install process run very quickly the screen doesn't even switch during installation and it says driver is successfully installed although nothing was installed and nothing absolutely change.so I decided to download the latest amd driver from amd site14.4. I had some problems while installing but it worked fine and I had all the options including the switchable graphics.
But after a while the laptop started to hang on startup showing a blue screen saying something was incompatible.So I tried to update the driver from device manager and since then I lost all catalyst control center options also the switchable graphics mode and 3D in Photoshop isn't working anymore and every time I close the catalyst a message come saying it stopped working. I tried many times to uninstall the driver then installing a new versin 14.9, the previous 14.4, the supported but still nothing of them worked at all, also I tried installing with win 7 compatibility but it always gets stuck.

When i try to install it from the device manager it doesnt find anything. when i try to install the downloaded drivers it does its thing then says it didnt install properly, and it will keep saying that.

Dec 29, 2014My WiFi Network adapter is an "Intel WiFi Link 1000 BGN". Occasionally I lose my internet connection for approx 30 - 60 seconds and then it comes back. The modem appears to be OK as the problem does not affect other computers on the same home network. When I try to update the driver from the device manager, it says the current driver is up to date. Is there another driver I should try?

Oct 23, 2014I have the Pavilion G6 2342dx running Windows 8. Yesterday, I used HP's support assistant to perform a few recommended driver updates. Among the things updated was the Qualcomm Atheros Wifi device driver and the HP wireless button driver. Wifi device installed was 10...222, from 10....212.
After the update, my laptop is unable to detect any wifi networks. It just shows "No networks found." I also noticed that the wifi button light (on F12) is always white whether or not I activate flight mode or not. I get an on-screen message alright about airplane mode status changing. However, it does not appear to be actually turning on/off the wifi because from the sidebar, it looks like wifi is on but with the "No networks found" message persisting. Also, the wifi icon on the status bar remains grayed out with an red x on it.
I have tried disabling and enabling the adaptor with no success. I have tried downloading and reinstalling the driver (10...212) with no luck. I even tried disabling, uninstalling and reinstalling the device from device manager. System restore fails everytime I try it. Interestingly, the latest driver on HP support website is the 212, no mention of the 222 driver.

Jul 17, 2014As said, my laptop's model number is dv6-6c13nr. My laptop's Windows 7 was FUBAR from a computer virus that my sister managed to get on it somehow. I just DBANed the entire hard drive and did a clean install of Windows 7. Everything was able install just fine except for the wireless adapter/driver.
I tried both the Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver and the Ralink 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter linked in my PC model's driver page. On both of them, whenever I click on the downloaded file, nothing happens after the file unpacks, no installers run. I've tried running it regularly and running it as an administrator, I've also tried running the installers directly from where they were unpacked into the C drive, regularly and as an administrator.
All of the other drivers and software on my PC model's driver page installed just fine aside from the wireless, it's the only thing, and the most important thing, that I can't seem to get to work. The version of Windows 7 that shipped with the PC was Windows 7 Home Premium, the version that I have and that I installed is Windows 7 Ultimate. Are the drivers not Ultimate compatible?
I've also considered installing earlier versions of the drivers, but I can't find legacy versions anywhere that doesn't look sketchy.

I am unable to detect any bluetooth device in my laptop and my laptop's bluetooth also is not detecting in any other device (Say in my cell). When I tried install Broadcom bluetooth 4.0 driver software it showing error "No bluetooth device was detected. Please make sure that your bluetooth device is plugged in properly in order to continue installation". In device manager everything is perfect, i mean no undetected hardware.

Ive tried to install that driver under Safe Mode and it loaded the installation, but when it was installing some error came out saying that the installation cant continue, because update.cpp 1205 is not found or something.I also tried to find the driver from broadcom's site, but couldnt find it. And now i can use e-net only via cable.

All other devices connect fine. I uninstalled that and it worked fine. I am unable to find that now. The router is a Verizon Fios / Actiontec router M142RWR.

Dec 17, 2008I have an HP DV6226US and I recently updated the BIOS to the F.2D version (from what I remember as F.14, and that BIOS version F.14 is not listed under the previous versions in the download section). I am running vista 32 os. F.2D is the version that is given for my model of computer on the HP software and drivers site. When I ran the updater, I remember it saying it checked compatibility before the BIOS flash and that it was the correct one. I do however have a T2250 intel processor rather than a T2060, which was the processor that my laptop was supposed to come with and I don't know if that would have any effect on which BIOS update I truly need.
Here is my question....
Before the flash the fan used to run constantly with obvious varying degrees of RPM's. After the flash, the fan doesn't seem to come on at all. It turned on once when I restarted the computer (right before it started loading vista). Other than that, I can't here a thing. However, I have used HD Tune and a very simple CPU monitor to see what kind of temps the internals are running at. My HDD (WD scorpion black 7200rpm 320GB) is running at constant 46c to 47c. Well within the manufactures specs, even under scans of the 200+gb loaded onto it. The CPU cores seem to be well within manufactures specs as well. Is this change in fan behavior due to the BIOS update, and if I should be concerned about the seemingly lack of fan activity. I use this laptop for DJ and Karaoke at 4 to 5 hour intervals about 5 days a week, and require that it not overheat.

So... as soon as i open my laptop , everything is fine and the wifi works and everything is basically normal , but when i use the laptop for like 10 min , the wifi randomly shuts off and tells me that i need to connect via an Ethernet cable, and when i do connect to ethernet cable it works . I am on windows 8.

HP ProBook G1 450 Networking :: WiFi Won't Turn On - Driver May Be Missing Or Corrupt
Dec 25, 2014The Wifi on my a new ProBook won't turn on. Device Manager says that the device driver for Wifi won't load and may be missing or corrupted. It says the wireless device is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth combo device. The HP driver support page doesn't have a driver for this wireless device.

This is a new ProBook G1 450 which I am still doing basic setup on; I haven't even added my programs to it. I am setting up the preinstalled OS with the HP preinstalled programs. It does successfully connect to the internet via an ethernet cable, and I downloaded many Win 7 and HP updates that way. But it will not connect via a wireless network. It does not recognize that there are any Wifi signals in the area. My old Thinkpad and my tablet recognize a number of strong Wifs in the area, and connect easily to the one which I am authorized to use. The ProBook says there is no wireless in the area.
The ProBook's Wifi is apparently disabled. The wireless light is on (white), and when I click the appropriate icon, there is a message saying that Bluetooth is enabled, but Wifi is disabled. The light is supposed to turn on if either of Wifi or Bluetooth or both are turned on, so it is not a malfunction if it turns on when only one is enabled. But I have not tried Bluetooth yet.
Many other ProBook G1 450's apparently have a Ralink wireless device or certain other devices. Not mine. My ProBook apparently has an Intel Dual Bank Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth combo device. That's what Device Manager says. And this device might be excellent or perhaps even a nice improvement. However, unfortunately, Device Manager also says "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)."
The HP support page for driver downloads for my ProBook does not have any driver for such an Intel wireless device. I didn't try the wireless until having installed many Win and HP updates. At the same time that I have noticed the wifi problem, I found that one HP update won't install: that was for Hotkey Support 5. Since then, I am having a little trouble with a couple of other updates. I mention this in case it is of some interest, but I don't see any connection between these updates and Wifi.

Sep 10, 2014The laptop is a Pavilion G7 with Windows 7 64-bit. The machine was given to me under the premise of "Internet does not work". The wireless properties and LAN settings say that the laptop is connected and has Internet access. I can ping outside addresses from the machine, and can ping the machine from other devices. It also pulls a valid ip address according to an ipconfig. However, when you try to pull up a website, it gives a "website cannot be found" page. This happens on IE, Firefox, and Chrome. All chipset drivers, ethernet drivers, and wireless drivers have been uninstalled and reinstalled. They are the newest drivers available from HP's website. I have even replaced the wireless NIC thinking it may just be a bad card. I've checked the IPv4 settings and all is set right. Thinking of possible DNS issues I tried using straight IP addresses to connect to webpages but all to no avail. Are there BIOS issues that would affect this?

Sep 7, 2014I recently had to open up my HP G7 laptop to blow the dust of my fan and under the keyboard. When I put they keyboard back together, my wifi didn't work. I'm now on a ethernet connection. Opening network connection, there's no wifi adapter icon. I've tried installing the driver, but mid install I get this message "The driver files you wish to remove will not be removed as the corresponding card is not installed". I don't know what this means, but when I finish the install, the wireless connection is still not shown in network connections, and the driver doesnt show on device manager. What else can I try?
