HP Pavilion G5-2240ea OS/Software :: Wireless Module Not Found (701)
Jun 6, 2014
After I did system diagnostic, i get message "wireless module not found (701)".and when my notebook booting, the monitor just displayed HP logo and booting again to the HP logo.
I was connected to the internet through my WiFi connection but suddenly the PC restarted after which Windows wasn't showing any wireless networks (see image 3). When I went inside PC settings, it displayed a message (see image 1) that there no wireless devices on this PC. Even in the taskbar instead of the WiFi icon, the LAN icon is displayed. And under PC Settings/Connection, only Ethernet and VPN options are displayed (no wireless connections).I do not know what went wrong. Is there some external switch to turn on the network adapter?
OS: Win 8.1PC: HP Pavilion 15 Â In image 1, now Bluetooth device is shown after auto install of an HP update, but no WiFi networks.
Whenever I try to launch Acer ePowerManagement I receive the following error:
epm
The specified module could not be found.
I have uninstalled the program, deleted the driver and re-installed the program but to no avail. I can right-click the ePowerManagement icon in the task bar and change cpu speed and Brightness but I can not launch the utility.
I am running Windows XP Home on an Aspire 3610.
Has anyone ever experienced this error and resolved it?
After installation updates from Lenovo Update I always get  error "rundll" when I start system with message: There was a problem starting C:Program  The specified module could not be found.
I have new E531 with Windows 8 and after Windows Updates was all right.
I recently my new Thinkpad T530 and I accidentally uninstalled Power Manager. I re-installed it. Now when ever I Â log on It says, "RUNDLL:Â There was a problem starting C:/Program. The specified module could not be found." And whenever I turn on the icon in the taskbar it is gray and has three dashes.
My Aspire 5315 laptop states that my transmitter module is a AR5BXB63 module. I am assuming this is for b/g. Is there a Atheros module for b/g/n that might be a plug in for the one I now have in my Acer laptop ? Would the antenna have to be diferentfor all three b/g/n or not ?
The Aspire One is a great machine that, for me, was mildly crippled by a finicky Wi-Fi connection. There has been some discussion about this on other parts of the web. For some people, the actual wireless module turns on and off occasionally. For other people, the wireless connects and works just fine, but then won't work for a few minutes - but doesn't disconnect from the router. After a brief wait, the internet works again.
I had the problem of the module remaining connected but not working. Fooling with various settings helped, but it was still not as good as it should be, so I decided to replace the module with an Intel 4965AGN wireless module. This is the easiest fix for those who have this problem and have been frustrated by a solution. I say "easy," because it was easy to spend $35 for the module on eBay and install it, rather than spend another 3 hours fiddling with the settings.
I followed the disassembly guide here to take the keyboard and top panel off. This guide is great, and the author did a nice job with the descriptions..............
I installed a fresh Windows XP on this Vostro, and tried to do the Install Order, with NSS and then Chipset....but once I get to wireless adapter and I go to install the drivers based on the "Service Tag" I get "The Device could not be detected, Installation Aborted".
I came across an intel 7260 card and installed it in my HP G72 with no problems. Â The notebook boots into Windows 7 64 bit with no errors. Â As soon as everything loads I try to connect to the internet and get "No Wireless networks found". Â I was using the intel wireless manual troubleshooter which stated the "radio is off" I checked the f12 key and have a blue light. Â Device Manager sees the adapter with no errors. Â The windows mobility center has the wifi network area greyed out. Â The Hp Wireless Assistant only shows bluetooth. Â I switched out that card for the old card and can access my network. if there is an fn key combo I need to press or a command I can enter in the command prompts or a regestry setting that needs to be changed.
I am using ideapad y510p. My wifi worked perfectly yesterday evening. However today at morning I couldnt find any wifi networks. After some research I have discovered that there is not wifi adapter present in Network Adapters and also that there is no wifi adapter in device manager. However bluetooth works fine. I have tried reinstalling drivers (even clean install of everything that may have something with networking). But I still cant see any wifi adapter. LAN connection works just fine. I dont think this should be hardware related problem because as far as I know bluetooth and wifi adapters are both located on Intel Centrino N2230. So I think that if my wifi adapter would be broken than bluetooth wouldnt be working too. I have also tried using system restore point to last week (when everything was working perfectly) but it didnt work. Â I have also downloaded latest drivers from intel website and when I run tests with theirs WiFi Software Utility (or whatever it is called) it says that there is no wifi adapter present so it fails even hardware test.
I have recently run the Thinkpad Rescue and Recovery to freshen up my laptop and start with a new Windows XP.
I have also run through System Update and have got all the latest drivers and software updates. Â Following to this, I noticed that my Wireless isn't wokring and was not even detected. For this, I have downloaded all of the following available:
Wireless LAN drivers for ThinkPad R500 - 2732 - 6EG - Windows XP Professional: Intel Wireless LAN (bg, abg, abgn) for Windows XP - ThinkPad - v15.03.2000 ThinkPad 11b/g/n Wireless LAN Mini-PCI Express Adapter II for Windows XP - ThinkPad - v1.00.0029.8Wireless LAN ThinkPad (11bg, 11abg, 11abgn) for Windows XP, 2000 - ThinkPad - 7.6.1.260bÂ
But my Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi Connection Utility says that the "driver is not installed" even after rebooting.  I also check the Device Manager and noticed that under the Network Adapters the following only shows: 1394 Net AdapterBroadcam NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet What could be the issue?  Also note that my wireless was working properly before going through the rescue and recovery.
The wireless network controller isn't working and has a yellow ! in the device manager. Win7 has no idea what it is. No driver info is displayed and nothing is found when Update Driver is run.  It's definitely a software issue as I can get it working fine if I boot from a linux live CD.  Computer: hp 15-g020ca Driver page: Software & driver downloads HP 15-g020ca Notebook PC | HP® Support (There's nothing there for a wireless card.)
I put a new hard drive in my Dell Inspiron 6000 and installed Vista. That was horrible so I reinstalled Windows XP. The Wireless was working in Vista. Now when I try to see Dell WLAN it comes up No Adapters.
I have an Acer Aspire 4720Z. Since long I had been using XP. Recently it was formatted and Windows 7 was installed. But after this upgradation, the WLAN is not working. Have banged my head with drivers and all. Â Device manager is showing Microsoft Virtual Wi-Fi miniport adapter (although with XP it simply showed by the name of WLAN adapter as far as I remember). And checking it's properties it says that the device is working properly. When Intel Wi-Fi Technology is tried to get started, it says that 'A supported intel wireless network adapter not found'.
I have an HP Pavilion 11-h013dx x2 pc running windows 8 and this weekend all of a sudden my computer shut down. When I restarted it I was given a blue screen which gave me the option to restore and refresh. I tried both options but the computer shut down when it got to 15% of restoring. Then when I turned on the computer it gives me a black screen saying boot device not found. I hit F10, enter, F9, enter, then exited and saved, that did nothing. I ran the hard disk check which passed. I ran the memory check and that failed with the code RQDATS-6T079C-MFPWWK-002103. I can't remember what other screen I was on when I got a different error code, but this one came up as well at some point and I wrote it down RQDATS-6T079B-MFPWWK-001H03.
I have had a Pavillion g6 2270dx for a little over a year (just out of warranty) and when I power up, the message "Boot Disk not found" appears. Along with "please install an operating system" "Hard Disk (3FO). I have tried all the solutions on line without any success.
I have the HP Pavilion dv6 originally was with Windows7 recently I have installed the windows 8 64bit. everything was working well now I have a problem with the internet adapter. the system cannot find it and the troubleshoot screen couldn't sole the problem. tried to uninstall the drivers also did not work. and your website couldn't find my laptop model don't know why! Â Internet adapter:Â Realtek PCle GBE Familly Controller. Â Also one device in my device manager marked as an unkown.
I have a HP pavilion dv7-4180sd compatible with windows 7 (64 bit ). i am running windows 8.1 pro (64 bit) currently. I have tried a bundle of bluetooth drives and configuration setting to get my bluetooth work but it is not yet working. All the softwares say that "Bluetooth hardware disabled or not found" . in addition to this my wifi button (f12) is not turning wifi on or off.
My laptop - HP 15 Pavillion p017tu,is showing some error like this :Â Â Boot Device Not Found Please Install an operating system on your hard disk. Hard Disk (3F0) Â Also, some crackling noise with tuck sound is also coming from the left of laptop keyboard base.
The DM4 has no operating system, for unknown reasons, and cannot be started up  Revovery discs were never generated. The hard drive and ram passed all tests.  I tried to reinstall a new Windows operating system using internal CD , but the system cannot be installed.
The following Windows message, appears: "No signed device driver found". Â How can I overcome this problem and re-install Windows?
I have a hp pavilion touch 14 notebook pc which turned out to have a faulty Hard disk as the OS was not booting and the system test's indicated that the hard disk had errors. I replaced the hard disk with a new one and before installing the Hard Disk I formatted it with a win 8.1 installation. I was thinking the laptop would just boot normally to win8, but instead gave me a screen saying:  boot device not found please install an operating system on your hard disk hard disk (3f0)  The hard disk is new and I don't no how its giving me this error!  Also, this laptop doesn't seem to want to boot from a cd to format!
on my HP Pavilion dv 9500 series laptop installing Windows 7 Ultimate, I get base system device error, base system device driver not found. devices are on - PCI bus 7, device 9, function 2. Â & pci bus 7, device 9, function 3. these are found in the device manager under other devices.
I have a Pavilion dv7 1245dx with Windows Vista 64 Bit bought 2009 at Best Buy. Â It slid off the arm of the couch onto a carpeted floor while shut down. Â Next day started ok, got into yahoo, facebook, then kind of froze up. Â Eventually, would not do anything, manually shut it down, started it back up. Black screen, 'No Bootable Device-Insert Boot Disc And Press Any Key'. It will not accept recovery discs that I made after purchase. Start up test ok, memory test ok, hard disk failed 'Boot Drive Not Found'. Caps lock light is blinking. Â I saw something in a forum about resetting or reseating the hard drive but no explanantion how to do it.
About a week ago, I booted my computer to find that the led light that indicates activity on the wireless didn't turn blue, and of course, there was not a wireless connection nor a way to set up one. I checked the device manager and found no problems, then checked out the HP Wireless Assistant. Puzzlingly, the assistant reported the wireless as on and without any problem, so I fired the command line unity (wireless.exe). It adviced to make sure that the switch of the wireless was on, and that the wireless was activated in the BIOS, so I rebooted and pressed f10. Nowehre in the BIOS could I find any kind of option about the wireless, so I just rebooted normally, and lo, the wireless was back. I thought that I had unadvertedly fixed it in the BIOS and let it be.
Fast forward a few days, I got the same problem when I booted up the ol' laptop, so I just rebooted, entered the BIOS again, and rebooted back. This time it didn't work out so I just rebooted the computer twice, and it was fixed. Since my job relies so much on the internet, I decided just to suspend my machine after use instead shutting it down, to avoid a new booting up into wirlessness; but yesterday, when I woke it back from suspension, the wireless was dead again! It took me no less than 7 reboots to make it start up again. Now I'm really paranoid that next time it happens, there will be no return, so Im keeping the computer on, 24/7 until I get some help,
The computer is a Pavilion Entertainment PC Special Edition with an AMD Turion 64x2, 2 Gbs of RAM and Windows XP. I've had it for one year and a half without trouble until now.
my HP Pavilion DV6-6C35DX Wireles has just had its Hard drive replaced and after installing windows, updating my drivers I noticed that me switch on my F12 key will not toggle away from the orange light and my network controller driver won't update.  Or there is no update which it can find when doing a quick search.  When looking at my Network controller properties under the Device instance path I get my VEN # and DEV # but neither have been useful in my search across the web. restore my computer's wireless.
Recently I got a wireless router HUAWEI EchoLife HG520s Home Gateway installed by my Internet provider. My HP dv8320us laptop has an Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection, but I can't get connected to my wireless network . The blue light of the wireless connection is on (blue), but I can't view other wireless networks to connect .
I have a HP Pavilion dv6-6c45eg notebook and a problem with the wireless device. It's found in the Device Manager but whatever driver I try to install is not working. It's also not listed in the available Network connections.
