I've been given an HP Pavilion G6 laptop that belonged to someone who passed away. It asks for a power-on password, and after three tries I got a System Disabled code of 79308945. Is there a way to change the power-on password? I've read several threads in these forums asking this exact question, and people have been given an individual code to get into their machines.

My Father-in-Law gave me his old computer It's an "hpG60 " p/n"NW149UA#ABA" and the model # G60-447CL Notebook PC anyway , when I turned it on it asked me to enter a "Power On Password?" When I press the power button it flashes once there and on the CapsLock key, then goes dark.
