I use Windows 8 Enterprise
I have an HP Pavilion m6 running Windows 7 Home Premium.
My workplace installed a router a few months ago. It's a Cisco E2000. My laptop will not recognize the wireless signal from the router. It recognizes about 10 other wireless signals from other locations outside the office. My phone also recognizes the router and can connect to it no problem. I've installed all the updates for Windows 7 and for the HP laptop. I've also installed the latest driver for the wifi card in the laptop.
Why the laptop does not recognize the wifi?
my laptop is Pavilion g6 Notebook PCafter i installed windows 7 i noticed that wireless not working when i press on the button its idle .. nothing happensi know i must install a driver but i realy dont know what is the right driver for my laptop

View 7 Replies View RelatedSuddenly I can't turn the wirelss key from orange. I tried to use "windows mobility" as suggested on several forums but there is no such "tile" when I invoke it.
View 8 Replies View Related I will start out with my laptop's system information (and I am typing this on a cell phone)It is an HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC with product number - B3K21PA#ABG. Serial number is 2CE2201C96. I have a Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter according to my device manager. I have recently changed my ISP and the wireless router they have provided is the Linksys E1200 model. Now, on to the problem - after a prolonged internet use (skype call or playing internet games) my laptop just stops giving me access to the internet.
And I say it like that because the internet connection icon shows that I have network access and internet connection but none of my software or browsers are able to connect to the internet. I have tried updating the driver (both by checking driver updates and by downloading the drivers manually). I have also tried system restores and everything else I could think of, short of actually doing a factory reset on the entire thing. And I should also mention - although this issue has occurred several times now since I changed ISP (and yes, I called them about it too), this current time seems to be permanent since it has been hours and it is still not working.
I am reloading my laptop and have downloaded all the wireless drivers listed on the HP support site for my machine. None of them are working for my wireless. I am running Win 7 32bit. Is there some other place I should be looking?
View 9 Replies View RelatedThe wireless button has stopped working on my pavilion g6. I have read that a few people have had this issue.

I get a red X over the internet icon and my router will no longer recognize any networks. I called my ISP and the manufactuer of my Belkin router. So I went out and rought a brand new Net Gear router. Still not working. I called Net Gear and they think it's my wireless card?
Is there a way to determine for sure if its a hardware problem? Maybe I need to download a driver?
Is there a wireless switch on my laptop? Do I need to configure my new router? I'm hoping to use my Belkin router if it's just a driver problem so I can take back the new router and get my money back.

my lan wireless is not installing or working in windows 7(64 bit) in 15-d009tu.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Windows 8 now 8.1 pavilion g6 laptop which hasn't been able to detect any wireless networks.
When i try to troubleshoot to find a problem it says that there is no problem.
The icon in the bottom right shows a monitor with a white cross in a red circle background and a what looks like a cable with a circular head at the top.
What I am currently using is the ethernet cable into the laptop which is connected to the router which is working normally.
I have a HP ENVY TouchSmart 14t-k000 CTO Ultrabook. It just went out of warranty a month or so ago but started blue-screening rigth after that - I had to reinstall Windows 8.1.
Since the install, my wifi has not been working properly. (I can use an Ethernet cable without a problem.) Sometimes it will say the wifi is connected with full bars, but then I get a "DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET" when I try to pull up any browser and nothing will load. Other times it just won't connect at all. The weird thing is that 5% of the time it will work fine, and I'll be able to use wifi no problem for a couple hours at a time.
What could possibly be going on? Is it a driver issue? Should I get a new network adapter? Is it a settings issue?

I bought new HP laptop, which is "HP Pavilion 15-p031tx Notebook PC Drivers" and at first as a default, Windows 8.1 single language, which was not activated, was in my laptop. Then because I wanted to use windows 8 feature, I downgraded to windows 8 pro through dream spark. After that, I realized that I cannot connect into internet and saw the computer manager, there are no network drivers in my laptop!
So now I would like to download the wifi adaptor driver for windows 8 pro. But I could not find how and where.

I am having trouble with my wireless button, it remains red/orange despite touching it and restarting my laptop several times. My laptop is an HP Pavilion DV7=1135NR, it is originally installed with Windows Vista 64bit. However, i have it reformatted and change the OS to Windows7 Ultimate (32bit). And now i the wireless button wont turn blue. And also the wireless button located in the taskbar is no longer there.
Some additional background: The same problem (wireless wont turn blue) had been recurring before i had it reformatted but then i seek assistance then to HP customer assistant, and installed atheros. the problem had fixed for a while and the same problem would recur. However, i can turn it blue once i restart the laptop or when the "WLAN disabled" message would appear in the task bar and i would immediately touch the wireless button.
i tried downloading a driver from HP but still not working. right now i am connected via ethernet cable and its such an incovenience.
I have a HP Pavilion g7-1205ev laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. I bought a new hard drive so I had to install Windows again. After the installation the laptop can't connect to the internet either by wifi either by Ethernet. After trying troubleshooting it says that windows did not detect a properly installed network adapter.
At the device Manager I can see that there is an exclamation mark to these exact components:
Standard VGA Graphics Adapter
BCM20702AO
Ethernet Controller
Network Controller
PCI Device
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Can I download all these from somewhere ? And of course I will download them to another PC as my laptop doesn't go online at all. I also tried to run Ubuntu from a flash drive on my laptop and the Ubuntu uses the Internet just fine.
HP pavilion dv2000 key board not working . I have enabled the online key board that also not working . As my hp utility cd was damaged I have changed the OS to windows 7 ultimate still . The key board is not working .then I used a USB key board that also not working . main problem is that I could not complete my Os Installation with out entering the pc name. The original Os was Vista ....

I recently formatted my laptop to windows 7 ultimate and since then can not get my function keys to work. I've reinstalled drivers that I thought might work and nothing.
When I could no longer adjust my brightness is when I noticed that my function keys were not working. Is there any other way to adjust the brightness on my laptop besides the function keys? If so I have not figured it out.
I recently Upgraded my Laptop to windows 8.1. Before i was using Windows 8, in that i used Bluetooth to send files. But after upgrading to windows 8.1 Bluetooth is not working at all.

I updated the latest windows update and in Hp assistant as well.
I have HP Pavilion g6-2206tx Notebook PC which was running windows 8(64-bit).
Recently I updated to windows 8.1 . All things are fine after the update i.e., all the hardware and software are working properly expect bluetooth . bluetooth is not working & i tried all the ways to run it.
It seems that there is no bluetooth hardware in my laptop . I contacted hp also & they gave me 1 update and it also won't work.
My laptop product number - C0P19PA
I just bought "HP Pavilion 15 Notebook PC p000su-j2t31ea", installed windows 8.1, downloaded drivers and it seems like it works perfectly but wifi.
When I tried to install this Broadcom WLAN driver [URL]... its loading like on the half way on its instalation and drops then a message appears and asks me if the program worked well.
Ive tried to install that driver under Safe Mode and it loaded the installation, but when it was installing some error came out saying that the installation cant continue, because update.cpp 1205 is not found or something.I also tried to find the driver from broadcom's site, but couldnt find it. And now i can use e-net only via cable.
I use Windows 7 ultimate. But i don`t have bluetooth & wifi drivers for this operating system.
View 9 Replies View RelatedPavilion p7-1108p, running Windows 8.1. Wi-Fi adapter keeps disengaging sporadically and for no apparent reason. I open the Network and Sharing Center, and under Active Networks I click on Connections and then on Diagnose. It resets the adapter and all is well. I have two other computers and a tablet on this network, and none of them have this issue. Do I have a hardware issue?
Further info: when I use the TroubleShooting tool to diagnose and reset the Network Adapter, I get 1 of 2 messages. It's either,
"WiFi doesn't have a valid IP configuration <fixed>",
or a two-part message,
" The connection between your access point, router, or cable model and the Internet is broken.<disregarded>” ;
" The default gateway is not available <fixed>"

View 8 Replies View RelatedI just got my Dell Outlet Latitude E6500, and I can't seem to get the wireless network running sometimes.
When I had the computer on battery, it somehow connected to my router, but when I later plugged it in, it wouldn't connect. No idea what's going on, but I did get a message that said the Dell Wireless card was not connected ("hardware disconnected")
Is this an issue b/c I bought it refurbished, or would I have faced this with a brand new computer too?
Separately, I didn't realize how large this computer is. Makes me think that perhaps I should return it and get a 14". Not sure yet what to do.
