HP Pavilion Dv4t 1600 OS/Software :: Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family Driver Update
Sep 3, 2011
I've been having trouble updating my graphics driver. I have a HP Pavillion dv4t 1600 CTO laptop. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. My driver device is a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family, and driver version is 8.15.10.1883 from 8/27/2009. I've been trying to install the lastest from Intel which is 15.17.19.64.2869. However, when attempting to update drivers I receive an error message:
"The driver being installed is not vaildated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the cmputer manufacturer. Set up will exit."
This leads me to the HP website were I attempt to find a suitable update. However, when using the HP updater or manual search, I end with the same type of driver for graphics, sound, and chipset. My problem is: I don't know which one needs to be updated.
I play World of Warcraft, and I receive the message "Your driver device is out of date". That could mean any of them, so while using the Intel Driver Update Utility, none of my drivers appeared. And every time I try to update via HP, it appears that nothing has changed. I'll try to provide as much detail as possible and hope to hear back soon about my problem. Attached below as well are screenshots from the dxdiag window.
Product name: HP Pavillion dv4t-1600 CTO
Product number: VP180AV
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
BIOS: default system BIOS
I'm in the process of creating an XP Pro operating system install for my new Inspiron 1545, on a new SATA hard drive (taking out the original SATA hard drive from Dell with Vista preinstalled to use as separate bootup opsys which I have to reinstall to zap all the bloatware later).
Things were going really really well (I thought) with setting up my new drive with XP and I got past the problem that bites most folks (SATA hard drive not being recognized by XP install), by switching the drive in BIOS to ATA mode b4 doing the install.
I got XP completely installed & activated AOK, with only a few minor wrinkles which I was able to figure out. Applied a few simple quick tweaks to XP to make it easier for me to use (disabling autoplay, killing the search dog, setting folder views, removing stuff I don't use like Windows messenger, MSN, etc).
Then I went to install all of the necessary Dell drivers from the website for the 1545 for (in order) Intel GM45 Chipset, Video, Ethernet, Dell Quickset, Wireless, Sound, Card reader, and Alps touchpad.
I had figured that stuff out already and had all the drivers copied over to the new PC ready to go .....
I know a few people have installed Win7 on their Lattitudes and Precisions ...
I decided to try out a clean install but as I work through the driver installs I get stuck at the chipset drivers which refuse to install, saying "This operating system is not supported .....
Windows Update showed a new update to the graphics driver for the 965 which applies to my SZ and whatever other model uses the 965. It seems to have fixed the "glitchy" aero border.
I clean installed the Windows 7. However, I am unable to install the Intel chipset driver. I try to install the one download from the Sony website and the one download from Intel website, but there is a error message come up to say I have a imcompatible machine (something like that). Because I can't install the newer Intel chipset driver, the SM Bus Controller is not installed properly too. It has a ! mark besides it.
I have a Pavillion 15t b1000 with an intel 13chipset and need to downgrade it from Windows 8 to 7 is there a set of directions for this computer to downgrade
Using Dell Clent System Update to update a Latitude E6530. All drivers are updated now except the Intel Chipset Driver. On Windows 7 64 bit. Framework version of the driver is 3.0.921.
The error message that it gives is Update package digital signature is invalid - status: Failed Error Code 7
Not sure how to remedy this.
I am trying to install this driver update hoping it will remedy a black screen with cursor when logging in. It takes about a minute to login and then the desktop finally appears. Was taking quite a bit longer to log in before I updated the other drivers and then removed McAfee to see if it was eating up system resources.
I got my HP Envy dv7-7250us back in May 2013, and realized that the most recent version of its Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver software is 9.17.10.2857 from November 2012. Intel's official driver is now at version 15.31.3.64.3071 (9.17.10.3071) from March 2013. I am unable to install Intel's update though, because it detects HP's version of the driver and refuses to install a generic version. However, HP's current version is very dated, and I'm running into severe performance issues in many games.
Is it possible that HP could ever bring their Intel HD Graphics 4000 drivers up to date?
I been having off and on BSOD issue and I was advided to possibly update my video driver via this site to the latest. The problem is that when I try to update it keep telling me that my laptop does not meet the minimum requirement and it would abort the update. However, I dont get why it wouldn't meet minimum requirement and it doesn't note anywhere within readme file what is the minimum requirement to install this latest video driver.
So here is the scenario, for example, I unplug my laptop and move it into the living room and then plug it back in.
At this moment, once the laptop is plugged in, the igfx driver stops responding and recovers but locks up any application I had open.
I have been researching this issue but haven't come across anyone with a similar issue. I just dont see the correlation with the power plug and the graphics card and why it freezes up
On my T540p, I configured the rapid start technology according to [URL] ....
Since I have performed a BIOS update to 2.14 and an update of the Intel Wifi driver to 17.0.5, I experience the problem of battery drain when the computer is in S4 sleep state, at a rate of approximately 0.125% per hour (on the 56Wh battery).
This was not the case before these updates. There was no noticable power drain in S4 sleep state, even not over multiple days. I'm using Win7, I set all the WoL capabilities both in BIOS and in the Intel driver to disabled, according to [URL] ....
External device USB charge settings are also fully disabled in BIOS and Power Manager. The problem does not occur when the system is fully shut down, but in S4 Sleep state, which should be a zero-power state too, as it was before the updates. In the details of the BIOS update it is stated " Fixed an issue where the computer might fail to enter sleep state". Could the power drain be a side effect of this fix? Or is it an issue with the (new) Wifi driver, as it was the case for the Y410P?
users who had bought a machine with the new Core i7 chips along with the Intel P55 Express chipset were having issues with syncing their iPhones/iPods.
wen i bought my studio 15 i go the Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD for my gpu cuz i dont do any serious gaming... anyways i play this korean fps game and looked at the requirements and thought i would be ok, but i cant run it.
the system requirements for the game is pentium 3-800 mhz for cpu, for the graphics its atleast 32 mb, and the ram is 256mb. i mean my like 5+ year old desktop ran it and how come my studio 15 cant run it. i d/l and wat ur suppose to do is log in at the web browser at ie, then click the server and loads the game.
after it loads and its about to enter it, the screen just turns black, and stays there.
I installed Windows 8.1 Update 1 x64 to my HP Pavilion G6 2240SH laptop. I started install the drivers and I got an error message in the Intel High-Definition setup: "This computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software."
I just bought an Acer-Notebook with the Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator x3100.
I did not buy the notebook for playing games, but sometimes I just want to play. First it is all fine with World of Warcraft. Low FPS at all, but everything normal.
But when I am trying to run Warcraft with the notebook I get bluescreens. I know this have been discussed several times yet, but I can't get it running with the given hints.
First I did: -opengl on shortcut (Bluescreen)
-swtnl on shortcut (Bluescreen)
Then I tried several drivers to run. The latest and some older drivers from the official Intel page.
Another hint is to install drivers of the version 14.33 or older. But I can't find anything like this. The links posted in some posts i found here didnt work and in the archieves of the Intel page are just newer drivers.
i have the acer aspire 6930G core 2 duo T5800 - Nvidia 9600M GT 512Mb GDDR 3 - 4Go 667mhz - 500Go 7200RPM - bios 3238... it's possible to install a intel quad core mobile Q9000 in this laptop?
just got a Z40-70 59436180 w/ nvidia geforce and installed it with windows 7 (32 bit),the nvidia vga driver setup told me that i have to install intel vga driver first before installing the nvidia one..
the problem is i can't install the intel vga driver which i got from the lenovo download support page (the filename is "ivg200w732.exe"),when i run it, it says something like my computer doesn't have the minimum requirements for the driver to install..well it looks like it is the wrong driver, because when i explore the installation directory, i found a "x64"-named directory... and no "x86" or "32bit" or anything similar...
Recently I have had problem doing external monitor calibration under Win 8.1 64-bit. It turned out that that monitor did not show up in the "Device" pull-down menu in the Color Management. So I update the Intel HD graphic 400 driver. It didn't work. Then I uninstall the video driver and re-install from the scratch. Now I have found even the built-in monitor did not show up at the Color Management. Only printers show up in the Device pull-down menu.
I wonder if there other software or driver that I need to install? Or I have mseed up so One-touch Restore will be required?
I am using 15-n240tx laptop and I have installed windows 8 to it.After installing the drivers I still have a question mark for one driver as below. What should I do for this?
I own a HP Pavilion G6 2105tx with Windows 7 64bit version. The Problem is that im unable to update my GPU driver. I searched this site and downloaded the appropriate driver for my notebook. But when i tried to install, i receive an error message that my notebook is not supported. I rechecked and im sure that i downloaded the correct driver listed for my notebook model. My Graphic card is Intel HD Graphics 4000.
I have a HP Pavilion dv4t-1000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC and after updating my bios from F.22 to F.24 the computer wont boot into Vista. It was completed successfully using the winflash, but the computer restarted it just stays at a black screen, and wont go any further. (I hope bios is not corrupted.)
The computer is on but its not booting the operating system.
Is there any way I can revert to the old bios?
Also is there any key combination that can get it to load BIOS from a USB flash drive?
I have the Pavilion G6 2342dx running Windows 8. Yesterday, I used HP's support assistant to perform a few recommended driver updates. Among the things updated was the Qualcomm Atheros Wifi device driver and the HP wireless button driver. Wifi device installed was 10...222, from 10....212.
After the update, my laptop is unable to detect any wifi networks. It just shows "No networks found." I also noticed that the wifi button light (on F12) is always white whether or not I activate flight mode or not. I get an on-screen message alright about airplane mode status changing. However, it does not appear to be actually turning on/off the wifi because from the sidebar, it looks like wifi is on but with the "No networks found" message persisting. Also, the wifi icon on the status bar remains grayed out with an red x on it.
I have tried disabling and enabling the adaptor with no success. I have tried downloading and reinstalling the driver (10...212) with no luck. I even tried disabling, uninstalling and reinstalling the device from device manager. System restore fails everytime I try it. Interestingly, the latest driver on HP support website is the 212, no mention of the 222 driver.
I acquired last week the above mentioned laptop for my wife. The use for it is basically browsing, shopping, skyping, messaging, searching over the net, no gaming.
To make it short and not to bother you with long stories: My brother gave me an original Ultimate Vista 64 with its own license and I'm planning to install it on this new laptop delivered with Premium 32 bits to fully use the 4 Gig Ram.
I've collected all the necessary drivers to proceed, but one, only one driver is giving me a major headache, the driver for the chipset Intel Cantiga PM45...I simply can't find it, neither on Intel's site...as if it never has existed.
Im looking to add firewire, can I use a express 34 card or only a express 54? The other thing is I have a dlink dir655 wireless router N . The computer is using G not N, I cant go N only because my wife's computer is G. Is there a way to change it? I love the computer going to upgrade the cpu its a 6400 now and add fast harddrives.
