After trying multiple times (both automatically and manually) to install the Nvidia drivers it shows an error saying "you must install an Intel driver first". I realize this is the HP forum, but i've tried contacting Intel with no luck on top of trying every Intel driver that looks even remotely relevant. (most of which error while installing mentioning my computer lacks the requirements for the install).  I've tried updating the drivers automatically through windows on top of disable/uninstall and restart, but the same problem keeps arising.

My Inspiron 5421 won't start. I can hear the drive start and after a few seconds I get a 4-beep code (RAM read/write failure). The warranty expired about 6 months ago.Â
I am a newbie to graphics. When I bought my laptop I was told that it has inbuilt intel hd graphics 4000. So when I checked the device manager there was no such driver or device. Is this because it is inbuilt in the processor or have I missed installing any driver.
I recently downloaded an AMD driver update. It removed the switchable graphics option and I have spent hours searching the internet on how to get it back. I can't find any drivers or anything to get it back. Also after I did this Sony Vegas won't open. I have a HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC, Windows 7 64-bit. Is there any drivers or anything I can download to get switchable graphics back?

My HP Pavilion 15-n230us Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)  Product # F5W29UA, is having problems with the DVD player. I went to the Device Manager and found the following error code:                                         Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. I had to clean install Windows 7 due to a problem I created in the first place. Anyway, everything runs fine, except for the Radeon graphic card.Â
I own a HP Pavilion g6-1279sl Notebook. It's supposed to have an Intel HD Graphics 3000 and a AMD Radeon HD6470M.
I installed the last version of the Catalyst driver, and when I right click on the desktop, it says "switchable graphics", but if I click on that, it just shows me another option from the Catalyst, HydraGrid.Â
Using a tool that displays which graphic card is running, I noticed that even when I'm running games, the Intel Graphic Card is working, giving an overall worse performance than the Radeon should give. I mean, the Radeon is never working. I also tried to disable the Intel from Device Manager (I think it's called like this, I have an Italian laptop), and it gave problems due to the Radeon card not working properly.
The BIOS is updated and no option is there about Switchable Graphics.
Is there anything I can do to have back that feature?
I own this laptop for 2 years and still never had my dedicated videocard working. It didn't even work when I bought it off the store o.O so basically i got quite sick of it and tried to get it all fixed up, so I went through everything I could think of, just everything that "Might" fix the problem.  I tried all of this in Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and 10. I've set the videocard options in the bios to both fixed and dynamic. Neither works. All of the drivers have been installed, including the latest AMD Apu driver. (I tried the official one from amd.com and the one from the HP support centre) The graphics settings for both my Intel HD Graphics and my AMD Radeon HD gpu are set to maximum performance. Disabling the HD Graphics 3000 driver so it could only run on the AMD gpu didn't work either. (Actually, everything stopped working in an instance;p) Installing an older driver didn't work either. AC/DC has been plugged in the whole time (This should have effect when settings in bios are set on "Fixed". This was not the case)  I've tried a few more things but it's getting a little bit too long to read;p
After installing Wind8.1 my Hp 250 G2 (FOY89EA#ABE) lost the PCI device and when I connect to HDMI or VGA, no picture is produced on the TV. How can I solve this problem?
My XPS 12 Duo touch screen stopped working one day.
My Device Manager shows that the I2C HID Device is not working (With a status of: This device cannot start. (Code 10) Â STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE
I'm not sure why as nothing changed... that I know of.Â
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, I have made sure all drivers are up dated (as on dell.com), and eventually I even formatted the HDD thinking some update must have caused this.
Unfortunately I have had no luck.
Just to add, Dell replaced my screen (due to ghost images) about a month ago - I'm thinking this could be the cause.

I have a Dell Inspiron 15R laptop that is 2 weeks out of warranty, and have only owned this laptop for 1 year from new. On Jan. 1 2015 i started my new year with a 2000-0142 code as i started up my computer, so i could skype my family and friends wishing them a happy new year. After doing some serious investigating with family, friends and the internet i found that this is a common problem with Dell's Hard Drive's and they seem to do nothing to rectify this issue...
