I have an Acer 7735-6719 laptop, but hate the keyboard and the restiction of pushing the screen back. A friend has the older 7530-5682..and is willing to swap... what are the pros and cons.

When I plug my acer laptop charger into the wall, the green light lights up accordingly. when i plug it into my laptop the greenlight begins blinking and my laptop does not charge. is something wrong with my laptop or charger? Yesterday my laptop just shut itself off, i wasnt monitoring the battery because at the time it was plugged into the wall. Now its not charging anymore, did I burn something out?

The company have instead offered me a 7530 with 9300m gpu, my question guys is can I upgrade it to maybe a 9600m gs, and the same for the cpu, however i'm not 100% sure which cpu it has yet I think its a turion x2 rm?.
It also has 320hdd and a 1400x900 screen, and blue ray/ dvd/dl, does it have 2 hdd bays?
I feel like my heads about to pop after so much research over the last 6 days,
And I would love to hear your general opinions on this model too, good or bad.
There seems to be very little on goole about it, I can't find a review anywhere.
The main one is the laptop keeps switching itself [going to powersave HD off mode] off, I have acer epower uninstalled and am using Vista power settings, both set to always on.
I have run all updates etc and even updated USB drivers thinking that could be an issue having read it could cause this.
The second is that I am unable to change boot order in the setup bios, it shows boot order, but will allow no changes, which makes no sense at all! So am unable to boot from any CD!
am fed up of leaving PC working only to find task stopped as its gone to sleep mode!

I can't figure out why the Acer Aspire is not performing as well as the HP Pavilion.
im trying to setup my uncles new laptop but i couldnt get any sound to output over hdmi
i disabled the nvidia thing and realtek from the sound properties in control panel then couldnt find how ot make them reappear i managed to uninstall the realtek then restart and it installed it again so i got sound on the laptop
but the nvidia hdmi still hasnt reappeared
should i uninstall it too and hope it will reinstall it automatically
after that how do i make it output sound through the hdmi to his tv

I also dont know that how to launch that window in which i can change the boot priority. In my pc that i use in home i press del after starting my computer and a window comes where i change my boot priority and then boot from cd windows xp and install it. But in this case i dont know how to install xp. and my next question is that can i play cd in DVD-Dual double layer.
i have a new laptop i brought about 2 months ago called "Acer Aspire 7530". It has 4 gig ram, and a 2.1 GHz processor.
I want to install Vista 64 bit on it, as the original comes with a 32 bit version which I do not want.
Anyways, when i boot from my vista CD it goes into the installation menu. But after i choose the language, it says "No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contain the correct drivers, and then click ok"
I got all my laptop drivers and put them onto a USB stick and tried that, but it did not work.
I have an Aspire 7530 which will not boot with two memory sticks in, but boots fine with only the lower slot populated. My thought is that the upper memory slot is faulty.

View 2 Replies View Relatedmy new dell E6400 just got a small scratch on the lid. It really bothers me because I can see it in most lighting even though it's not a big scratch. Part of the reason why I decided to buy a business line laptop is that it's suppose to be more durable. I have been careful with my laptop and it still got scratched. Does anybody know anything I can do to remove the scratch? Also, what is the most protective laptop sleeve for a 14.1 laptop with a 9 cell battery?

I decided to run CUPID Hardware Moniter and Im getting AMD core temps of 80*C , GPU of 92 ! These are celcious! Like randomly I would hear a wirring sound in my laptop and everything would go soooooooo slowwwww , like huge lag spikes... When i boot, the laptop shuts down in about 15 secs
No issues with battery and hdd.
The fan works for 2 secs and then stops.
I've been getting this weird, on and off, random, buzzing/almost scraping noise from the fan of my Acer 5672 laptop. It spins really loudly, I'm assuming the ball bearings are going bad or something's wrong. Is there any store or place I can check to buy a replacement? I know it's a Sunon brand fan/heatsink, but I've been searching around endlessly for a place to buy a replacement.

I entered the mac address in the firmware of my router and any place in my house I can pick up a wireless signal. This device will pick up a wifi signal and amplify it so all I do is connect the EUB-362EXT unit to a strong antenna and I can pick up a signal in my basement but the router is on my second floor.
I would like to use the same setup on my laptop when I am on the road because the internal wifi of the laptop is weak. I can disable the internal wifi but would like to know how I can create a a wifi network profile in my laptop that will allow me to enter the mac address of the adapter. I am using Windows XP sp2.

Ive never EVER had such a high spec laptop before (well it may not be high spec to some people but as it is to me )
Anyway, m just wondering, its got a bluetooth button on it, when i press it it says 'no device' on my screen.
I thought maybe I could search using my ps3 for the lappy but it doesnt come up with anything.
What can i do with this bluetooth thing and how do i activate it?
My problem is my acer travelmate 4200 screen is now showing only 1024 x 768 (4:3) there are black boder on right side of the screen that doesn't show anything.
The back lighting in that area is normal. my laptop is 15 inch and the native resolution is 1280 x 768 but when i check the Hide mode that monitor doesn't support option it only display 800 x 600 and 1024 x 768 only.
I already update the BIOS and the graphic driver but the problem still remain. I search the internet and found that i problem may be due to epresentation.I update the epresentation and the problem persist.
Once win7 comes out, I wish to upgrade. How can I do this? I want to keep up the back up partition of vista and install 7(I want the backup partition just to be safe.)Would I just hit f10 on the loading screen and click use disks to format and insert the windows 7 cds.

How long usually it take for Acer to service laptop?
i want to compare it with other country whether its faster or not.
my laptop go to service center at March, now its already May 2009 and my laptop is still on the service center. (the dvd drive wont eject discs, its slot-in type)
usually they (acer) only take 1 or 2 month but now it become 3 months >_>
last time when they change the LCD and Battery and DVD-RW Drive it only take about a month (yups, 3 parts are replaced by acer, for free)
IT seems that for their specs the price they ask for is reasonable, but i am biased towards them cause the last ACER i bought raised high temperatures and made lot of fan noise, and i grew to hate them. But i cant shake off the fact of their reasonable price.
As far as electronics go, i've learned that once you encounter a bad Manufacturer, he'll always not exceed your standards. But i need your output on this matter.
So Is ACER a good notebook manufacturer?
1. Is it a MXM type laptop?
2. Would the new Intel 80GB SSD work in it?
3. How about 6GB RAM?
