I am using Aspire 4920G, but i was not able to find any driver soft ware for my laptop when i changed the Original Vista i had to Windows Xp. I need to get Drivers such as ATI RADEON HD 2400 XT, my soundcard driver, WEbcam , WIreless internet, Core 2 Duo Processor T7300, and other drivers for my laptop.
how to upgrade memory on Acer Aspire 4920G. At present have one 3GB unit installed. Any information and instructions on how to upgrade would be very much appreciated. Also will I notice a big increase in performance if i upgrade.
my laptop has just died. I purchased the product just under 1 year ago and it came with a 1 year warranty.
I have an ACER 4920g 2Ghz (T7300), 2Gb RAM, 256Mb Graphics, Vista Home Premium.
Fortunately I store very little on the laptop so this is not a data retrieval exercise!
I was sat surfing the net tonight, and pop!, the whole unit went dead. I was running it from the mains at the time and there were no performance symptoms that suggested it might be on its way out.
The battery pack has a green light on it which flashes when it is connected to the laptop now, but is solid when I unplug it from the laptop. the light used to be solid all the time. Is this flashing an error code?
When the power pack is plugged into the laptop, the blue power light on the laptop does not light up. pressing the power button does nothing, the fans do not kick into action, absolutely nothing.
The laptop has no signs of life whatsoever - at the time it went pop, it just powered down within 1 second, like a power failure. it did have a charge in it.
The fact that it had charge in it and it was connected to the mains is making me think there has been some kind of internal failure - a processor failing? or motherbaord failing? or the connection between the motherboard and the power button?
I just got an Acer Aspire 5515-5879 and would like to put a fresh copy of the OS on it without all the bloatware. Anyone know how to get the drivers for this?
I've recently downgraded an Aspire 6930 from Vista to XP and am having difficulty getting the computer to recognize that it has a modem! If I can just get the ethernet/modem/WiFi up and working I'd be set. Does anyone have any idea where I can find the drivers I need to get this thing up and working?

I've just bought an Acer Aspire 6930 laptop and I want to re-tweak the whole system again like installing new windows etc etc...so should I care about the drivers? I mean sound driver will be found automaticly and I can download display driver but what about the other drivers like net, webcam, etc etc? where can I find those?
I just bought a acer aspire 4310. I installed windows xp sp2 into it but the program kept saying that it couldn't detect any hard disk. I went back to the store and the storekeeper said 4310 only supports windows vista.
i have an acer aspire 7000 laptop and i got it second hand, it has windows xp installed on it but most of the drivers were mising, i had a list of 12 missing drivers i have now narrowed that down to just 2, i need someone to tell me where i can download the modem device on high definition audio bus and the usb2.0 camera drivers
i just got this notebook listed on the title right? Mostly everything works perfectly.
Except apparently i have to update my Drivers for the Intel(R) GMA Driver for Mobile. So i look at the Intel website no drivers found, or ones that needed updates..
So Ive been told that in some cases for laptops you must go to the computer manufacturers website and find the drivers there, this website being Acer. But it seems there is no trace for Aspire 5735-4624 Drivers ANYWHERE. I think the laptop is fairly new but there has to be SOME drivers somewhere right? I am not sure if this is a problem for any other people out there, or i am just not looking hard enough?
I just bought an aspire 4730 from staples yesterday. It comes with Vista Home Premium 32bit, but I'd like to install vista 64bit on it. The CPU supports it. It has a T3400
I went to acer support here [url] and looked up drivers for the 4730Z/4730ZG but the drivers that are shown are for the aspire 4330.
And the only 64 bit drivers shown are for bluetooth (which the 4730 doesnt have), Intel graphics, and nvidia graphics (which it doesnt have).
Where can i get wifi, motherboard, touchpad drivers for this model if i decide to run vista 64 on it?
should i call acer support and ask them if vista 64 is supported?
I would like to know where i can get windows XP drivers for Acer Aspire 5930G. I want to dual boot XP with the Vista that came preinstalled.
I have two partitions on factory setup: one for VISTA OS and the other is labelled as DATA. I thought of formatting the second partition and installing XP on it. Is this possible? Would a boot menu be created? Or is there any other sequence in which i should install this.
The Specification is as follows: Intel Core2Duo P8400 2.26 GHz 512 MB nVidia GeForce 9600M GT 4GB DDR2 250 GB HDD and the rest...
I recently reformatted and installed xp on my Aspire 5680-6123, and finding drivers is tough. Ive got most of the things working, except for the Ethernet adapter. The drivers ive tried are the broadcom ones from the acer site, but nothing seems to work. The default drivers xp wants to install do not work either.
Maybe im just doing something wrong, installing the drivers incorrectly.
I recently bought an acer aspire 7535 - 5415. Specifications can be found here:
It came preinstalled with Windows 7 but I formatted it and installed Windows XP for which drivers are available on acer's website.
Now I am having problems finding drivers for the wireless device and ethernet on it. I have tried the various drivers available online including acer's website but none of them seem to work so I think I am doing something wrong. I just run the installer for the drivers but that doesnt make any difference. Currently in device manager, two devices show up with a question mark along them: 1. Ethernet Controller 2. Network Controller
Installing different drivers makes no difference, including the ones posted on acer's website. So I dont know if I am doing something wrong or if the drivers are faulty. Can someone point me to the proper drivers or the proper procedure for installing the network controllers I need.
I'm trying to find the correct drivers for the above laptop. I found this thread How To's: Acer Aspire 5672 , but it seems some of the links no longer work.
This system had XP Home originally and the HDD died. I installed a new HDD and want to install XP Pro, have disk, and do away with all the Acer stuff.
I've already performed a clean install once before of XP Pro, but wasn't able to find the correct drivers for several pieces of hardware. I'm in the USA. Is there even an Acer USA? I can't seem to find the drivers at Acer.
I have my original backup disk that I created using Acer erecovery and an XP pro install disk.
Did a restore with factory restore disks it doesn't install broadcom BCM94312mcg wireless drivers. when i try to install I get "windows found drivers but encountered an error code 10 have tried everything I know
