View 8 RepliesMy notebook(Acer Aspire 5735Z) has a problem:
It happends with Internet Explorer,Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, when I post long messages in forums or blogs,or when I upload files in hosting websites like imageshack or megaupload,Firefox tells me that "The connection was reset"
In the other computer I have I can upload files without problems and I don't get errors, the two computers share the same net.
So I don't know why my notebook reacts like that when I try to upload files or write long posts in forum..is it only my notebook's problem or is it a Issue of the Acer Aspire 5735Z Notebooks, and how can I repair it?
I have an Acer notebook, Aspire 5735Z. Each time I turn on my computer I have to disable the touch pad using Fn plus F7. This disable function is not permanent though. Is there a way to disable the touch pad permanently?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI currently have the 5735z aspire. My problem lies with Acer not having any support for this notebook. I have been searching for anything to give a bios update. I have found the 5730 aspire is practically a mirror of my laptop except for the screen size.(5735z has a 15.6) I was curious if I could use the updates for the 5730 on mine. They both have gl40 chipset and the same cpu. I noticed the bios updates starts at 1.07 and goes up to 1.14.
Mine is currently 1.07. So my question is can I use the bios for the 5730?
Just purchased a 5735Z and I know it's not going to be the most powerful machine when it comes to games, but i've found its performance dismal in even some of the older games.
I've been playing quakelive a bit lately, but I can't run it past 800x600 without major lag, and fullscreen is unplayable even at 640x480. I installed Sims 2 just to test out an older game and that is running at about 15-20fps max at lowest detail.
I've tried updating the drivers, and I have the latest chipset and graphics ones. Do you think installing XP would help performance? Also what about using a 64bit operating system - is the T4200 a 64bit chip and would that help at all?
I just got an Acer Aspire 5515-5879 and would like to put a fresh copy of the OS on it without all the bloatware. Anyone know how to get the drivers for this?

View 4 Replies View RelatedTo find all the drivers that are needed if I were to reformat my Acer Aspire 5720-6113 notebook?
I looked on their website and they have like 4 of each driver and I have no idea which ones I would need to download.
I am on Windows Vista Home Premium.
Been trying to get some audio drivers for a 4315 with XP Pro OS.
One's tried so far are,
Audio_Realtek_v6.0.1.5413_R167_XP_Vista
Audio_Azalia_v.5.10.0.5443
downloaded these from the acer site still not working, pretty sure it needs a realtek driver, is there a patch or something else needed?
i just got this notebook listed on the title right? Mostly everything works perfectly.
Except apparently i have to update my Drivers for the Intel(R) GMA Driver for Mobile. So i look at the Intel website no drivers found, or ones that needed updates..
So Ive been told that in some cases for laptops you must go to the computer manufacturers website and find the drivers there, this website being Acer. But it seems there is no trace for Aspire 5735-4624 Drivers ANYWHERE. I think the laptop is fairly new but there has to be SOME drivers somewhere right? I am not sure if this is a problem for any other people out there, or i am just not looking hard enough?
I just bought an aspire 4730 from staples yesterday. It comes with Vista Home Premium 32bit, but I'd like to install vista 64bit on it. The CPU supports it. It has a T3400
I went to acer support here [url] and looked up drivers for the 4730Z/4730ZG but the drivers that are shown are for the aspire 4330.
And the only 64 bit drivers shown are for bluetooth (which the 4730 doesnt have), Intel graphics, and nvidia graphics (which it doesnt have).
Where can i get wifi, motherboard, touchpad drivers for this model if i decide to run vista 64 on it?
should i call acer support and ask them if vista 64 is supported?
I would like to know where i can get windows XP drivers for Acer Aspire 5930G. I want to dual boot XP with the Vista that came preinstalled.
I have two partitions on factory setup: one for VISTA OS and the other is labelled as DATA. I thought of formatting the second partition and installing XP on it. Is this possible? Would a boot menu be created? Or is there any other sequence in which i should install this.
The Specification is as follows:
Intel Core2Duo P8400 2.26 GHz
512 MB nVidia GeForce 9600M GT
4GB DDR2
250 GB HDD
and the rest...
I have installed Windows 7 on my laptop Acer Aspire 1660. The problem is that I dont have valid drivers for W7 for my video and sound....
I tried to install the drivers avalaible in Acer webpage. But it displays error
I recently reformatted and installed xp on my Aspire 5680-6123, and finding drivers is tough. Ive got most of the things working, except for the Ethernet adapter. The drivers ive tried are the broadcom ones from the acer site, but nothing seems to work. The default drivers xp wants to install do not work either.
Maybe im just doing something wrong, installing the drivers incorrectly.
I recently bought an acer aspire 7535 - 5415. Specifications can be found here:
It came preinstalled with Windows 7 but I formatted it and installed Windows XP for which drivers are available on acer's website.
Now I am having problems finding drivers for the wireless device and ethernet on it. I have tried the various drivers available online including acer's website but none of them seem to work so I think I am doing something wrong. I just run the installer for the drivers but that doesnt make any difference. Currently in device manager, two devices show up with a question mark along them:
1. Ethernet Controller
2. Network Controller
Installing different drivers makes no difference, including the ones posted on acer's website. So I dont know if I am doing something wrong or if the drivers are faulty. Can someone point me to the proper drivers or the proper procedure for installing the network controllers I need.
I'm trying to find the correct drivers for the above laptop. I found this thread How To's: Acer Aspire 5672 , but it seems some of the links no longer work.
This system had XP Home originally and the HDD died. I installed a new HDD and want to install XP Pro, have disk, and do away with all the Acer stuff.
I've already performed a clean install once before of XP Pro, but wasn't able to find the correct drivers for several pieces of hardware. I'm in the USA. Is there even an Acer USA? I can't seem to find the drivers at Acer.
I have my original backup disk that I created using Acer erecovery and an XP pro install disk.
I bought an Aspire 9410z notebook a month ago. It had Vista installed on it by deafult. Now, for reasons too many to list, I didn't like vista.
I created an additional partition and run linux on it. Linux was fine but I needed something for my gaming purposes, so I replaced linux with win XP.
Now the problem is, windows xp cannot reconglize the drivers on my laptop (ethernet, wifi, videocard, orbicam, etc.)
As a result I can't connect to the Internet or do anything productive for that matter.
Tried to look for drivers I can download from the Internet, but no luck.
I have a 7520g that I have installed XP onto, because I hate vista. But it refuses to install the wireless adaptor.
The model in question is a broadcom bcm94312
Did a restore with factory restore disks it doesn't install broadcom BCM94312mcg wireless drivers. when i try to install I get "windows found drivers but encountered an error code 10 have tried everything I know
