I had a quick look under the memory and HDD panels but could only find the WLAN module (which i'm also upgrading to wireless n) but couldn't see anything obvious.
Anyone knows what will work with this laptop ?
A reviewer in newegg said he added one without any problems.....

Is there a possibility of installing a 3G/LTE module on the Thinkpad Yoga? To my understanding there is an m.sata slot on the Yoga that allows for us to put extra SSD hard drives on it. Is it possible to replace it?
If not, are there other methods other than using usb-dongles or hotspots?
i am asking for adding new m-sata ssd drive in WWAN slot in dell latitude e5430

Whenever I try to launch Acer ePowerManagement I receive the following error:
epm
The specified module could not be found.
I have uninstalled the program, deleted the driver and re-installed the program but to no avail.
I can right-click the ePowerManagement icon in the task bar and change cpu speed and Brightness but I can not launch the utility.
I am running Windows XP Home on an Aspire 3610.
Has anyone ever experienced this error and resolved it?
The Aspire One is a great machine that, for me, was mildly crippled by a finicky Wi-Fi connection. There has been some discussion about this on other parts of the web. For some people, the actual wireless module turns on and off occasionally. For other people, the wireless connects and works just fine, but then won't work for a few minutes - but doesn't disconnect from the router. After a brief wait, the internet works again.
I had the problem of the module remaining connected but not working. Fooling with various settings helped, but it was still not as good as it should be, so I decided to replace the module with an Intel 4965AGN wireless module. This is the easiest fix for those who have this problem and have been frustrated by a solution. I say "easy," because it was easy to spend $35 for the module on eBay and install it, rather than spend another 3 hours fiddling with the settings.
I followed the disassembly guide here to take the keyboard and top panel off. This guide is great, and the author did a nice job with the descriptions..............
can anyone show me a pic of the screws i need to install a bluetooth module on my studio 1737? i got an old apple ibook thats broken so i tore that apart to get a look at the inside hehe and i was thinkin i could use one of those screws?

I would like to buy it and install it myself, but I am not sure which one to buy since none of them expressly say they are for the m1530.

I wanted to add Bluetooth to my laptop so that I could get a wireless mouse (and down the road, a wireless keyboard as well). I know I could have went with some sort of RF wireless, but I just know that somewhere down the line I would end up losing the dongle -- so BT was the best bet!
Made my purchase 7/21 early in the AM, and my items arrived on 7/22 in the afternoon! I live in Indy, and the items came from near Dayton, Ohio... but still, talk about free shipping! I also purchased a new SwissGear/Wenger backpack, and that shipped separately from South Bend, Indiana -- and also arrived today on 7/22.
Went to install the BT module in my laptop, and my worst fear was true -- Dell sent me the wrong screws! There were many reviews on the Dell site about them sending out the wrong screws, and I was afraid it would happen, and unfortunately it did. I went through all my screws, and could not find anything that would fit... so, so that I could test the module I temporarily left it installed without being screwed it. The install was uber-easy, connect up the blue antenna, and done!
I really like this travel mouse, as well. I put some rechargeable batteries in it which I hope will help it last for quite a while. Its slightly larger than my previous wired travel mouse (from Logitech), but I like that. It isnt anywhere near being a full-size mouse, but its a good size for me. A little heavy with two AA batteries in it, but not terrible or anything. I'd might try to find a little pouch to stuff it in when taking it with me, for a little extra scratch-protection and what-not. Oh, I got the matte black version, cuz I hate glossy things that show fingerprints
I chatted with Dell tonight, and they are "supposedly" sending me the proper screws... in 3-5 business days. I tried to get them to upgrade that to overnight shipping so I would definitely have them this week, but they absolutely refused to do that. So now I need to shut the laptop back down and remove the BT card because I don't like the idea of it just dangling in there not being screwed down.
Anyway, thats my experience. My first attempt at an upgrade to my Studio 15 (1537). Next will be a back-lit keyboard, when the finances are not so ... strained After that, maybe a bluetooth keyboard if I can find a decent one that isn't like a bajillion dollars
Been away a long time, mainly because my latitude has been working beautifully!
I am considering buying a bluetooth wireless speaker system.
Am I right in saying the BT 360 module on my latitude is A2DP compatible?
I have a year old DV9774ca with bluetooth. I never used it. My wife has a Toshiba laptop without bluetooth and wants to use a bluetooth mouse. Can I take out my bluetooth adapter and put it in hers? I have not seen or handled one before.
Its ays its a HP Integrated Bluetooth Module. The "integrated" doesn't make it sound as simple as I hoped!
i need some information regarding installing original bluetooth in an Acer aspire 5920g.. i know it has been discussed in the past Does the 5920 have blue-tooth? but since this thread is locked i guess i have to ask in a new thread..
The ones who tried it, how easy was it? from the manual it didn't seem too hard the only think that seems kind of dificulty was removing the keyboard..Is there any trick for it?
Also what is the odd module?
Regarding the heat grease, it was mentioned in the other thread
"Heat grease:
When re-assembling and when you're about to put in the thermal module, make sure there's adequate heat grease on the CPU (don't put TOO much on). Sometimes taking off the thermal module can upset the heat grease, you want to make sure there's a good thermal path for the CPU."
Is this, only in case we notice that there isn't adequate amount? or should be applied some in any case?
I have bought a new Studio XPS 1640 laptop without the 370 bluetooth module and I was wondering if i can buy it off eBay.
The module is a Dell 370 and it's compatible with the studio 1535. Will it be comaptible to my XPS 1640?
I recent bought another y550 IdeaPad running Win7 because I like the one I already had that my wife uses. The new y550 came with a Broadcom bluetooth module but the computer did not recognize the module during startup. I thought the module may have been bad so I bought another one on eBay that had be tested by the seller. I finally found the location of the module by taking the computer apart. (It is located under the palm rest bezel.) When I installed the device and put the computer back together (except the keyboard for access to the bluetooth module socket located under the keyboard), the computer hung up while it loaded but the bluetooth icon on the speaker panel continued to be lit.
I unplugged the module to restart the computer and plugged the module back in. Windows recognized the device and the drivers were loaded. I put keyboard back in place and the device worked until I accessed the BIOS on the next start up. After that, the module was never discovered by the computer regardless of deleting the drivers for the module and the energy management software, etc.
When I reboot the machine, the computer never seems to look at the bluetooth module because the bluetooth light never illuminates. Also, the Fn+F5 short cut does not show a bluetooth device as being installed on the computer. How to get the computer to recognize the bluetooth device since I think it might be a machine issue or BIOS issue rather than a windows 7 issue.
I've a brand new Dell lattitude 5530 with a Dell wireless 380 Bluetooth Card. I've downloded the driver module recommended by the Dell driver support webpage when I supplied my Sevice Tag. (DW380 Software release Customer installer Version 6.5.1.2410 ). However the module failed to install. The last few lines of the log file are:

What I need to do to get this one to install?
I am installing Windows XP on my Compaq Presario R3200 (servicetag R3484EA). My problem is that I cannot find the driver for the Bluetooth device.
According to device control it concerns the HP integrated Bluetooth module. Under details the following information is displayed: USBVID_03F0&PID_011D-010C65A2BF4.

I've recently purchased the Aspire 5739G off Newegg and would like to install XP on the machine. Fortunately, there are official XP drivers for this model on the Acer support website. I've downgraded before and know the procedure of slipstreaming the SATA drivers. Which drivers do I slipstream for this model? I noticed on the drivers page there is a SATA AHCI Driver. Is this the driver to slipstream?

Would either of these work?

have bought a new Acer Aspire V5 573G without a system software. Now I want to install Windows 7 home premium 64bit on it but it doesn't work. First of all: Is it generally possible to do this? I tried to install it in the recovery mode but there was an error (something with the GPT Partition) so I switched the Mode to UEFI. I have read in other message boards that I have to switch to UEFI csm (compatibility support mode) but I can't find it.
