Just bought my Yoga yesterday and am thoroughly enjoying it. A problem I encountered was when trying to pair the Bluetooth to a Belkin A2DP receiver (essentially, it appears as a Bluetooth audio headset to the computer). Audio quality sent to the speaker is very poor. I verified that the Belkin unit was functioning properly by pairing two other Bluetooth devices and having no issues with audio playback. I also updated to the latest RealTek Bluetooth driver on Lenovo's website. Still with bad audio quality.
I bought at DELL OUTLET a M6400 without the Bluetooth Module, I will buy it separate from DELL, do you know if the Bluetooth antenas will be Pre-Wired in the notebook ?,
actually I am buying the DELL 410 Bluetooth + UWB card, meaning I need the Pre-Wiring for Bluetooth and UWB ?
can anyone show me a pic of the screws i need to install a bluetooth module on my studio 1737? i got an old apple ibook thats broken so i tore that apart to get a look at the inside hehe and i was thinkin i could use one of those screws?
I wanted to add Bluetooth to my laptop so that I could get a wireless mouse (and down the road, a wireless keyboard as well). I know I could have went with some sort of RF wireless, but I just know that somewhere down the line I would end up losing the dongle -- so BT was the best bet!
Made my purchase 7/21 early in the AM, and my items arrived on 7/22 in the afternoon! I live in Indy, and the items came from near Dayton, Ohio... but still, talk about free shipping! I also purchased a new SwissGear/Wenger backpack, and that shipped separately from South Bend, Indiana -- and also arrived today on 7/22.
Went to install the BT module in my laptop, and my worst fear was true -- Dell sent me the wrong screws! There were many reviews on the Dell site about them sending out the wrong screws, and I was afraid it would happen, and unfortunately it did. I went through all my screws, and could not find anything that would fit... so, so that I could test the module I temporarily left it installed without being screwed it. The install was uber-easy, connect up the blue antenna, and done!
I really like this travel mouse, as well. I put some rechargeable batteries in it which I hope will help it last for quite a while. Its slightly larger than my previous wired travel mouse (from Logitech), but I like that. It isnt anywhere near being a full-size mouse, but its a good size for me. A little heavy with two AA batteries in it, but not terrible or anything. I'd might try to find a little pouch to stuff it in when taking it with me, for a little extra scratch-protection and what-not. Oh, I got the matte black version, cuz I hate glossy things that show fingerprints
I chatted with Dell tonight, and they are "supposedly" sending me the proper screws... in 3-5 business days. I tried to get them to upgrade that to overnight shipping so I would definitely have them this week, but they absolutely refused to do that. So now I need to shut the laptop back down and remove the BT card because I don't like the idea of it just dangling in there not being screwed down.
Anyway, thats my experience. My first attempt at an upgrade to my Studio 15 (1537). Next will be a back-lit keyboard, when the finances are not so ... strained After that, maybe a bluetooth keyboard if I can find a decent one that isn't like a bajillion dollars
where i can get the bluetooth module from mine didn't come with it added as standard, so using a dongle i have took the back off and i see there is a small empty bay next to the wireless card so guess that is were the bluetooth module goes
Trying to get BT capabilities on my NX7400 and found the right card for it, but the seller warns I may need some kind of a cable to connect it. I'm trying to find out if this model comes standard with that cable or not.
I have a year old DV9774ca with bluetooth. I never used it. My wife has a Toshiba laptop without bluetooth and wants to use a bluetooth mouse. Can I take out my bluetooth adapter and put it in hers? I have not seen or handled one before.
Its ays its a HP Integrated Bluetooth Module. The "integrated" doesn't make it sound as simple as I hoped!
I've a brand new Dell lattitude 5530 with a Dell wireless 380 Bluetooth Card. I've downloded the driver module recommended by the Dell driver support webpage when I supplied my Sevice Tag. (DW380 Software release Customer installer Version 6.5.1.2410 ). However the module failed to install. The last few lines of the log file are:

how to fit an internal bluetooth module to the 5536... or even know where the connector is located ?
I had a quick look under the memory and HDD panels but could only find the WLAN module (which i'm also upgrading to wireless n) but couldn't see anything obvious.
I recent bought another y550 IdeaPad running Win7 because I like the one I already had that my wife uses. The new y550 came with a Broadcom bluetooth module but the computer did not recognize the module during startup. I thought the module may have been bad so I bought another one on eBay that had be tested by the seller. I finally found the location of the module by taking the computer apart. (It is located under the palm rest bezel.) When I installed the device and put the computer back together (except the keyboard for access to the bluetooth module socket located under the keyboard), the computer hung up while it loaded but the bluetooth icon on the speaker panel continued to be lit.
I unplugged the module to restart the computer and plugged the module back in. Windows recognized the device and the drivers were loaded. I put keyboard back in place and the device worked until I accessed the BIOS on the next start up. After that, the module was never discovered by the computer regardless of deleting the drivers for the module and the energy management software, etc.
When I reboot the machine, the computer never seems to look at the bluetooth module because the bluetooth light never illuminates. Also, the Fn+F5 short cut does not show a bluetooth device as being installed on the computer. How to get the computer to recognize the bluetooth device since I think it might be a machine issue or BIOS issue rather than a windows 7 issue.
I am installing Windows XP on my Compaq Presario R3200 (servicetag R3484EA). My problem is that I cannot find the driver for the Bluetooth device.
According to device control it concerns the HP integrated Bluetooth module. Under details the following information is displayed: USBVID_03F0&PID_011D-010C65A2BF4.
My laptop is something wrong. Bluetooth doesn't work, i have installed wireless+ bluetooth and wireless is working perfectly, but bluetooth dont work. There is Bluetooth icon in bar, but when i click it, trying to send files, or get files i cant find any bluetooth devices. When i try to add devices, not even one devices is showing up, its empty. In driver manager there is Bluetooth radios when i open it, show ups bluetooth drivers I think.. Tried uninstall and install it, doesn't work either. Tried register to dell.com but i can't some servers problems.
I have an hp probook 450 g1 ..the taskbar shows the Bluetooth symbol but i m not able to find other devices or send or receive anything other devices are also not able to detect my Bluetooth..i have already set the Bluetooth discoverable in the settings..
have found the keyboard on its own for a bargain price, however it does not come with the USB bluetooth adaptor, just the keyboard on its own.
My question is will the keyboard (and the mouse if I ever buy it seperately) work with my Studio 15's built in bluetooth?
I have googled for ages on this but can't get a definitive answer. There have been mentions of 'no' some people say yes but you have to change the bluetooth stack e.t.c.
how to install Dell 1704 or Dell 1705 Wireless driver in my Dell Inspiron 5537. I always get trouble everytime I try to install them.when I install 1705 driver when I install 1704 driver I've tried to turn off and turn on Bluetooth again in PC setting but it doesn't work.
I have updated some months ago, my laptop 7859-5SG from Windows 7 to Windows 8 -> 8.1 and after that the bluetooth radio doesn't work anymore.
I tried to find a driver on the driver download section for my laptop, but I didn't find nothing. First problem found, is the hotkey fn+F5 that not show nothing on the display after key press, and normally with this function I can see if the radio is on or off.
I checked on the BIOS section if bluetooth is enable, and this is on. What I can do to activate bluetooth radio again?
I use V3-371-59M8 which model is for windows8 OS only but I use it w/ windows7 OS and it works well but bluetooth doesn't work at all.I got and installed BT drivers(Atheros or intel or Broadcom) for widnows7 but couldn't find any BT devices.
What is the BT adaptor brand (Atheros or intel or Broadcom??) of the model.
I have a MacBook Pro (MBP) with OSX 10.5.6. I use Logitech Bluetooth (BT) mouse and it works OK under OSX.
However, in Boot Camp running Windows XP SP2, the scroll wheel does not work. Everything else, like left and right buttons work. I tried it with another BT mouse and it's the same thing.
If I tried using regular wireless mouse, everything works.
I am trying to use the bluetooth in my X230 to pair my laptop with my cell phone. I want to be able to use my cell phone as a personal hotspot, in case I am in an area with no secure wi-fi. I would have thought that this would be standard feature in a laptop that is touted as a business device, but apparently this is not the case.
I installed both the bluetooth driver and the latest system update, [URL]..... but it is still not working for me. I am now able to connect my cell phone to my X230, but instead of enabling me to access the internet via Bluetooth, a dialogue box appears enabling me to play songs that are on my cell phone using the laptop speakers.the bluetooth driver did not come pre-installed on the x230, and I am disappointed that I am not able to use my cell phone as a personal hotspot for my x230.
I am looking for the Dell P/N 430-3099, it's and E-Module, External Media Bay for Latitude E-Family/ Mobile Precision, the idea is to install a Hard Drive or a DVD-ROM unit inside, I have not been able to find it within the Dell web site,
So it seems everyone is up in arms about the 1.8" drives in the modular bay, vs the standard 2.5" in the old D-series machines. I may have found both a cause of Dell's decision and a solution.
The new e modular bay is basically an sata optical drive, with a latch. Lenovo uses virtually the same setup in their new T400/T500 ThinkPads. See this: [url]
and there are some good pictures on a $40 ebay item, but I will let you find that: [url]
So my theory is that Lenovo patented this adapter and since the Dell one would be so close they can't actually make it.
Anyway it looks like this could work to give us another 2.5" hard drive, but I would really like to see if someone here has access to both a T400/T500 and an E-series lattitude. If you could compare the optical drive and even see if they can be swapped.
As soon as he leaves, the laptop just shuts off. I try to turn it back on, and all three of the lights (caps lock and number lock and the other one) plus the three lights on the hinge light up for 5 seconds and then shutoff.
On the few times I have been able to get it to start, if I moved it at all, the entire system would freeze and I would get a white screen with a message that says "You have inserted a module into the D-Bay attached to your docking station, but this module is not supported by the D-Bay
I received two of the incorrect travellite modules from Dell so far and the third one seems a bit sketchy as it rattles around in the bay as if isn't quite tall enough. The part numbers don't match up with what I see on the accessories site either. The latest one I received (on the left) looks like the one for the E6400 and carries a sticker with 0M011C-38561-87M-05FT-A00 on it. The ones on the right which didn't fit had 0H022G-69400-88U-01C0-A00 on the sticker. Can anyone confirm if the one on the left is in fact the proper one for the E6500?
