Dec 22, 2014Doing a reset didn't solve my problems of connecting to Public Networks. It is definitely a problem with the Windows 8.1 Broadcom Wifi card.

Acer :: Aspire E15 Limited Internet Connectivity / WiFi
Mar 9, 2015Just bought an Acer Aspire E15 and have been setting it up today and managed to get connected to the internet through the wi-fi however I have noticed that the wifi keeps dropping and leaves me with nothing and then I have to manually go in and select the router again. This is happening all the time, I am on the internet for no longer than 2 mins before I get the unable to access the network. There is no problem with the network it just seems to be my new laptop. I looked this up and was told to change the power management settings and did so and am still have the same problem. I also updated the driver and again am still having the problem. Also tried ipconfig /flushdns and again the problem persists!

Feb 15, 2015Since getting my Acer switch 10 i have suffered limited connectivity issues on the device, this then states there are no access points available and then will not resolve itself until i restart the device. This happens on different routers and ISP's and i have updated the drivers from Acer support site with no avail. the issues happens about one a week to fortnightly and i have tried several reinstalls but nothing changes.

My network card is on the fritz, to put it simply. I randomly lose internet access, and my network connection is listed as "Limited Access". Sometimes turning off the adapter and turning it back on solves the problem, but sometimes I need to do a full reboot. My system is the only one affected, so I know its not the router. I have already viewed the similar threads and tried the methods advised with no success.
So far I have:
-Updated my drivers
-Disabled Broadcom Bluetooth service at startup
-Disabled Hybrid Sleep
-Told Windows not to shut the network card off.
I did a System Refresh last week and that's when the problem started.
HP 10s Networking :: Lose Wireless Connectivity - Limited Access
Oct 26, 2014I have an HP 10 S Notebook and I will lose wireless internet connectivity after I've been online for a while. It will show as "limited" and when I click to reconnect it shows I have no internet available. I've run the diagnostics when that has happened and it tells me there is an issue with the wireless card. I can shut the computer down and restart then it's working fine. This has been happening about once a day.

Oct 6, 2014We have several Latitude E7240's on our network. They are configured with Windows 7 x64. We have been having trouble with this particular model in regards to wireless connections.
When the laptop is powered on and the user logs in, the laptop connects to the wireless network, however it is not getting an IP address from the router. It sticks at "limited connectivity", and gives itself a "169" IP. It stays that way for about 5 or so minutes then finally connects.
The WLAN drivers are already to the latest version, and to "bandaid" the issue, I have to uninstall the Wireless NIC drivers then reinstall them.
At first I was thinking it may be a router issue (Which is a Sonicwall TZ210W), but it can't be because its wireless devices of differing models have no problem connecting and getting an IP address. Also, it starts working once the drivers are reinstalled (though I'm not confident this is a permanent fix).
All the E7240's have the Dell 1506 Wireless card, and are all and originally were) on driver version 10.0.0.268, A02. Also, I have tried turned off any power management settings of the WNIC prior to the driver reinstall.

Jul 4, 2012I am having problems with my Wifi on my HP DV6 7011TX (Product Number: B0P39PA#ACJ)I updated from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 and started facing Wifi problems. Initially on starting laptop, Wifi get connected automatically.. But after 5-10 minutes it shows LIMITED Connectivity.When I turn ON Flight mode and then OFF it, it gets back to full connection.But, after sometime it goes back to LIMITED. This keeps on happening.I've tried installing various versions of Broadcom & Intel WLAN Adapter Drivers!. Still no success!I called HP Support but, they told me that they can't do anything as I'm on Windows 8.1. They said me to rollback to Windows 8 and I don't want to do so. "Download over metered connections" is also set ON... (While writing this post Wifi went into limited connectivity once!)

Jan 11, 2013I have got a new Dell Inspiron 3521 i5 with 4GB RAM - 64 bit OS - Windows 7 - Service Pack 1 Laptop, everything works good except, the problem with my Wi-Fi Connectivity.
The issue I'm experiencing is with the Internet connectivity, my Wi-Fi connectivity loses frequently and I get message saying "Limited Access", and gives me an option to reconnect it manually which is a bit disappointing. .
Rest all works pretty fine, I'm satisfied about it. Just this error, disappoints me.
The troubleshooting I have tried so far is -
1) Resetting router for 30 seconds and restarting it - did not fix my problem.
2) Checking firewall settings - did not fix my problem either.
3) Tried virus check as well, but no fix so far.

Jul 9, 2009I have an Acer Aspire 5920G, with the Intel 3945AGB wireless card. I've had issues with the wireless for some time, where it would suddenly lose connectivity and I would have to reboot for it to find any wireless networks. Yesterday, however, it lost connectivity again, and now is unable to connect even after several reboots.
The wifi switch is on and lights up. Acer eNet manager tells me there are no wireless networks, whereas Windows Vista's network manager tells me that I'm either a) Connected to my wireless network but with a limited connection or b) Not connected at all, but wireless networks (including my own) are available. It always fails to connect. My wireless router is a Dlink DIR-615.
I've tried inputting the WEP key again, no results. I've tried rolling back the wireless device driver (to 11.1.0.86), no results.
My husband has an identical laptop, with an identical setup, and everything works just fine for his laptop.
I did nothing out of the ordinary last night when this happened - no settings were changed, etc. The only thing I did do that I don't do every day, was that I ran the disk cleanup manager, and it cleaned out a few temp files, but I thought that this was a harmless operation...

After 4 hours or so while surfing webpages, suddenly it started showing no internet connection and asked to reload webpages. So I looked at the wireless network icon on the bottom right corner which showed full bars. A few seconds later a yellow colored triangle with exclamation mark appeared on the network icon showing no internet and limited internet.
After turning the wifi off and back on the internet connects and works for few hours. After few hours, it lost internet connectivity again with the same above symptoms. I have this laptop now for 3 days and in past 3 days I had this problem at least 25 times.

Nov 4, 2007I got an Aspire 1360...has worked great since the last month. The wireless has been having a mind of its own. All of my other wireless computers are working and theres no router conflict. I can stand right beside the router and there will be no connection. I took out the wireless card underneath and put it back in hoping that it would do something to make it work...but sure enough its going all wacko. Sometimes it'll stay at 54/sec or it'll go down to 24, back up to 36 and then to 1mbps all within a matter of like 3 seconds...

Aug 30, 2013I had an extra Lenovo T410 sitting around so I wanted to restore it to its "factory state" by performing a "format boot". Plan was to boot from CD drive and reinstall Windows 7 (32 bit) during the process. However, disaster, after the process finished I am now stuck in some sort of safe mode (everything is larger than usual) and the computer is missing several drivers. I installed the network adapter driver manually (can identify networks but can't connect to internet). Device manager still lists Base System Device, Ethernet Controller, PCI Serial Port, PCI Simple Communications Controller, and Unknown Device drivers to be out of date.
My objectives here are to
1) restore connectivity to internet and
2) get Windows 7 Home Premium to full functionality.

Mar 21, 2013I have an ideapad z500 which I'm happy for, but it annoys me that when 'm at my college I can't properly connect to the wi-fi the school has. When I connect, I'm on for usually about half an hour, but then I get the "limited connection" yellow triangle and I have to deactivate the networkcard before I can get a normal connection.
Other times I simply just can't connect, it tries but it fails. When it does, I have to reboot the computer before it succeeds, and that's no good when you are working on a project. At home i have no problems, it works nicely.
Also, how to enable the WiDi on the z500.
My PC is running Win 8 with the Intel Centrino n2230, Intel 3rd. gen i7 (3632qm)

1. bought a used Acer Aspire 7741G-6426 from my brother-in-law.
2. he had removed the hard drive, for security reasons
3. I bought and installed a Solid State Drive
4. I downloaded Windows 7 Home Premium from the Microsoft site
5. installed, successfully, Windows
6. Now, no Internet access. Device Manager shows an Ethernet Controller, but says the device driver for it is not installed. No wireless controller is found.
7. I downloaded the Broadbank LAN device driver from the Acer site (on another computer, of course; carried it over to the laptop on a USB drive). When I try to update the driver, Device Manager says it finds the driver but it is missing a file.
Is there another place to get drivers? Is there a self-installing driver available?
