I am having problems with my Wifi on my HP Pavilion 17-e055nr Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR) (Product Number: E8B74UA ) Initially on starting laptop, Wifi get connected automatically.. But after 5-10 minutes it shows LIMITED Connectivity.When I turn ON Flight mode and then OFF it, it gets back to full connection.But, after sometime it goes back to LIMITED.
View 5 Repliesi am using HP PAVILION 15-E015TX. i reset my windows 8 OS recently because of some corruption of data. after resetting the OS everything is reinstalled to its original state. But the Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn Wi-Fi Adapter is not detecting the wifi which is worked properly before resetting the OS. when i run the troubleshoot option under HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT it shows a red mark while resetting the adapter.

But now, i don't due to windows update or something else, i'm having problem with it. Sometimes, the driver works well, but most and most of the time, windows have problem with the driver. It, either mentions " driver or hardware related problem" while i troubleshoot it, or sometimes it doesn't even detect the device in device manager. I even tried reinstalling the driver by the driver which i was provided with the laptop bt the same problem still persists. I'd like to know whether the windows updates is disturbing it because once i'd found the Ralink wifi driver update on the windows update list which had created problem and i uninstalled it. Now i cant find that driver update in the windows updates list.

All my other devices connect to the network just fine and also when I connect the laptop via Ethernet cable internet works normally. I tried reinstalling the adapter and driver, but nothing happens, the problem is still here.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a HP Envy 15-j040eo that worked fine until about two weeks ago but then it did no longer recognize my wireless-n. At that time I had Win 8.1 64 bit with automatic updates. Other computers and iPhones still recognized my wifi.
After spending hours and days with the HP Support we finally did a complete reset of the computer. Now I have Windows 8 with the updates disabled and wireless-n works fine until I allow windows to update. If windows is allowed to update the computer do not recognize the network anymore. With other than -n networks or with cable it works fine. The only way that me and the HP Support has found get the wifi working is to completely reset the computer. If I only make a refresh the wifi still don't work.
The wireless adapter is a Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn and it works with driver 5.0.25.0 on windows 8. When I first had the issue I tried to update to driver V5.0.46.0 but it still did not find the wifi-n in windows 8.1.
BIOS is updated to latest version and even if I turn automatic updates off the network went dead when upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1 but on Windows 8 it works as long as I choose not to update the driver for the wireless adaptor.
As I prefer to have windows 8.1 and updated with automatic updates; how can I configure it to still work with wireless-n?
I have just received my new Inspiron 15R which I cannot fault, even after the minefield of getting to grips with Windows 8.........However for some reason my wifi connection will be stable for about 10 minutes and then show limited connection with no internet access although the network connection is very good! All other laptops and devices are still connected!

I've seen issues with upgrades to 8.1 affecting the adapter, but nothing about it not functioning properly out of the box on a new WIN 8.1 machine. how to force it to see 802.11n?
I have got a new Dell Inspiron 3521 i5 with 4GB RAM - 64 bit OS - Windows 7 - Service Pack 1 Laptop, everything works good except, the problem with my Wi-Fi Connectivity.
The issue I'm experiencing is with the Internet connectivity, my Wi-Fi connectivity loses frequently and I get message saying "Limited Access", and gives me an option to reconnect it manually which is a bit disappointing. .
Rest all works pretty fine, I'm satisfied about it. Just this error, disappoints me.
The troubleshooting I have tried so far is -
1) Resetting router for 30 seconds and restarting it - did not fix my problem.
2) Checking firewall settings - did not fix my problem either.
3) Tried virus check as well, but no fix so far.
My pavilion g6 laptop's wifi adapter hasn't been working correcty recently. my internet router and networks are running fine as they should be, but every time i reboot my laptop, it keeps saying that there is no connection and no other wifi netowrks, when there clearly is other networks because of my surrounding neighbours.
I have tried a system restore to resolve the problem, but it has no affect and my norton is affecting the system restore of disabling the antivirus.

I recently bought "HP Pavilion 15-p077tx Notebook PC". I installed windows server 2008 r2 as secondary OS. I'm unable to connect to wifi from sever 2008 r2 as there are no wifi drivers installed. Whether there are wifi drivers available for windows server 2008 r2 for this laptop. Also provide usb drivers if available.
View 3 Replies View RelatedJust bought an Acer Aspire E15 and have been setting it up today and managed to get connected to the internet through the wi-fi however I have noticed that the wifi keeps dropping and leaves me with nothing and then I have to manually go in and select the router again. This is happening all the time, I am on the internet for no longer than 2 mins before I get the unable to access the network. There is no problem with the network it just seems to be my new laptop. I looked this up and was told to change the power management settings and did so and am still have the same problem. I also updated the driver and again am still having the problem. Also tried ipconfig /flushdns and again the problem persists!

It will show as "limited" and when I click to reconnect it shows I have no internet available. I've run the diagnostics when that has happened and it tells me there is an issue with the wireless card. I can shut the computer down and restart then it's working fine. I have an ideapad z500 which I'm happy for, but it annoys me that when 'm at my college I can't properly connect to the wi-fi the school has. When I connect, I'm on for usually about half an hour, but then I get the "limited connection" yellow triangle and I have to deactivate the networkcard before I can get a normal connection.
Other times I simply just can't connect, it tries but it fails. When it does, I have to reboot the computer before it succeeds, and that's no good when you are working on a project. At home i have no problems, it works nicely.
Also, how to enable the WiDi on the z500.
My PC is running Win 8 with the Intel Centrino n2230, Intel 3rd. gen i7 (3632qm)
Doing a reset didn't solve my problems of connecting to Public Networks. It is definitely a problem with the Windows 8.1 Broadcom Wifi card.

I have run the driver update tool, and it says that I have the most up to date driver installed. I have also run the "Diagnose Problem" tool, and it says that there are no problems. However, the computer constantly looses internet connection. I assume it has something to do with the wireless adapter, because all of the other wireless devices in the house have no issues. The operating System is Windows 7.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the HP Pavilion g6 2346 nr and I am missing the Ralnik bluetooth driver ,the last time I saw it in devices it was the 4.0 driver. I downloaded the driver from HP site an hour ago it was in a pkg (sp60071) I opened it and clicked on setup but all it did was install the device and not the driver. The instruction I read were to delete the old driver first which I did and that left me with no bluetooth in the devices column until I clicked setup in the pkg I previosly described.
BTW I can connect to the internet but this driver (bluetooth) is for my bluetooth devices ,cell etc .

I am having an issue with this laptop (product number 15-n019wm) where frequently but intermittently network connectivity will cut off. I ran a Microsoft troubleshooter (results below) that said it fixed the problem, but the problem always . I tried a Ping in the command line when this was occurring for www.yahoo.com and it came back "ping: transmit failed. general failure." These issues happen when I am wired or wireless, and when I am having the network connectivity problem, all other devices on the network can access the internet just fine, so it is an issue with this device specifically.

The Wi-Fi adapter Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n 1x1 worked on windows 7, but fails on windows 8.1. Tried to find the driver on the broadcom but not found. Device Manager indicates only problem with a PCI device. Problems with the Wi-Fi adapter does not specify.

I phoned Microsoft Support and was told that my wifi driver was out of date and that this needs to reinstalled. I have had a look at available downloads for network drivers but I am unsure how to establish which one I need.... there are 4 options.
Under Device Manager > Network Adapters, there was only one driver which needed update according to this. The Realtek PCle FE Family Controller. When I checked for updates here is said that it had updated successfully, but I am STILL unable to connect to the internet.
